"What's the plan?"
Gwen asked anxiously.
However, Peter didn't respond to her because the system's voice was ringing in his ears.
[You have completed the mission: An Eye for an Eye, a Tooth for a Tooth.]
[A-Train has paid the price for his actions. When the courts and police can't deliver justice, it falls to the villainous superhero to settle the score.]
[You have excelled in completing the mission, ensuring A-Train felt immense fear before his death.]
[You have received 20,000 points.]
[For outstanding performance, an additional 5,000 points have been awarded.]
[Total: 25,000 points.]
[Your cumulative points: 129,600.]
[You have gained a new ability: Underwater Breathing.]
[You can directly acquire this ability or convert it into something else.]
[If you give up this ability, you can strengthen one of the following Talismans: Rabbit, Ox, or Pig.]
Peter was once again caught in a dilemma.
Both options were great…
But the underwater breathing ability seemed unnecessary for now.
He wasn't planning to visit Atlantis anytime soon.
As for strengthening the Talismans…
The Rabbit Talisman had already been strengthened once, and it didn't seem like he needed more at the moment.
The Ox Talisman…
The Pig Talisman…
Which one should he choose?
The Ox Talisman had given his body a massive boost, but his body's capacity was nearing its limit.
It was like having an endless supply of cash to stuff into a wallet, but the wallet's capacity had a limit.
Once that limit was exceeded, the wallet might burst…
Damn it, why couldn't he just get the Rooster Talisman? Until now, he still had to rely on potions to fly.
When faced with two evils, choose the lesser; when faced with two benefits, choose the greater!
In this situation, strengthening the Pig Talisman was the best choice.
Peter chose the Pig Talisman.
[Your actions align with those of a true villainous superhero.]
[As a result, the points shop will introduce a points lottery feature.]
[Note: This lottery can only be used once every 60 days.]
[You may choose freely.]
This time, Peter didn't hesitate. One point? That barely counted as points!
Draw!
[Congratulations! You have gained a new ability.]
[Section 13 is the Safest Place: You can designate an area as Section 13. Five seconds later, the target will undergo a massive explosion.]
[Note: The explosion will not affect anything outside the target area. Not even a millimeter beyond the target will be impacted.]
[This ability can only be used once and can only be obtained through the lottery.]
"Hey, Punisher!"
"What's your plan?"
Peter smiled slightly.
"It's simple. We just need to shift the focus from A-Train to the entire Vought International."
"By destroying the entire Vought branch, no one will think our actions were solely aimed at A-Train."
"They'll assume we targeted A-Train first because he's a member of the Seven and posed the greatest threat."
Gwen's emotions were mixed. Though she didn't like the Punisher, she had to admit he was clever.
But a new problem arose.
"Then how do we destroy the Vought branch?"
"Are we supposed to call in a bulldozer or something?!"
"Too easy!"
Peter's eyes glowed with electricity, and two incredibly destructive beams shot through the concrete walls of Vought International.
As his gaze moved, the lasers followed!
The place was soon filled with rubble!
Suddenly, both Peter and Gwen looked up at the sky almost simultaneously!
Spider-Sense!!!
Two red beams of light descended from the sky!
It was Cyclops!
Peter reacted quickly, his electric beams clashing with Cyclops' optic blasts.
Red and yellow lights collided in mid-air, evenly matched!
Boom!
Dust filled the air.
Homelander, with his golden hair and a cape adorned with the American flag, appeared before Peter and Gwen.
His eyes glowed red.
His face was stern, clearly furious.
Peter wasn't afraid of him.
Even if he couldn't win, with his speed, Homelander wouldn't be able to catch him.
Homelander, originally named John, was a superhero created by Vought International using Soldier Boy's genes and Compound V.
His mother was a mentally disabled pregnant woman, and the Compound V she was injected with was entirely absorbed by the fetus, who later became Homelander.
Homelander's lack of love during childhood twisted his psyche, making him cold and cruel!
Yet, this anger had no outlet!
At Vought, he was indeed the strongest.
But Superman was far more powerful, and on the border, there was also a mutant school where a bald professor could easily defeat him.
This made his personality even more twisted.
Gwen was extremely nervous.
After several battles, she had a clear understanding of her own abilities—she was no match for Homelander.
"Two little bugs, causing such a mess."
Peter's expression remained cold.
"John, after all this commotion, you finally showed up."
Homelander was stunned, staring at Peter in shock.
"How do you know my name?!"
"Who are you?"
"Who I am isn't important. What's important is that I know everything."
"I know everything about you. In fact, I know you better than you know yourself."
"I'm here to tell you that New York is my territory. Vought International isn't welcome here."
