Chapter 47 - chapter 47: Free Time

After the grand tour of the academy's facilities, Selena Loventis smiled at the gathered students, her crimson eyes twinkling with amusement.

"That concludes our little introduction," she purred, stretching her arms gracefully. "Now, my darlings, the rest of the day is yours."

Murmurs spread through the crowd.

"Take this time to familiarize yourselves with the academy," she continued, flicking a loose strand of red hair behind her ear. "Explore, train, relax—do whatever your heart desires."

Her smile turned teasing. "Because starting tomorrow… you won't get a moment's rest."

With that, she waved them off, turning on her heels as she strode away, her enchanting presence lingering even after she was gone.

The students immediately scattered in different directions.

Some rushed to the Monster Simulator, eager to test their skills.

Others flocked toward the cafeteria, discussing the academy's currency system and planning how to save their AC.

Leon Valerius, ever the center of attention, smirked as he was quickly surrounded by noble-born students eager to form alliances.

Sylara Ilthariel, the High Elven Princess, was similarly surrounded by fellow elves, their discussions in elegant, fluid Elvish as they analyzed the academy's magical architecture.

Kieran Azurios and Rael Thunderfang headed toward the training grounds, already talking about sparring.

Cassandra Everwyn leaned against a marble pillar, her crimson eyes flickering between the groups before she turned away, heading toward the Magic Research Facility alone.

Elaine, Evelyn, and Morganna grouped .

"Ahh…" Evelyn Aurelius stretched, rolling her shoulders. "That was more intense than I expected."

Elaine chuckled, brushing a loose silver-blonde strand behind her ear. "We expected nothing less from best academy."

Morganna Draven tilted her head, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips. "I, for onec, enjoyed the spectacle. Did you see the look on some of those nobles' faces when they realized they'd actually have to work for their AC?"

Evelyn laughed. "Oh, I did. One of them nearly fainted when he heard meals weren't free after the first month."

Morganna nodded.

Elaine shook her head in amusement. "Shall we explore the academy together?"

Morganna's violet eyes gleamed. "A princess, a noble lady, and a death mage walk into an academy… sounds like the start of a rather fun day."

Evelyn smirked. "Then let's make the most of it."

The three of them set off together, moving through the academy at a leisurely pace.

The trio made their way through the grand halls while laughing and chatting, their boots echoing softly against the polished floors.

They stopped by the Magic Research Facility, watching scholars deep in study.

Morganna tapped her chin. "I wonder what forbidden magic they have locked away."

Elaine gave her a look. "You're not planning to break into restricted areas, are you?"

Morganna gasped dramatically, placing a hand over her heart. "Elaine, you wound me! I would never do something so… obvious."

Evelyn sighed. "I don't doubt that for a second."

They continued onward, passing by the Archery Range.

Sylara Ilthariel stood at the center, effortlessly striking moving targets mid-air, her fellow elves watching with admiration.

Elaine noted how the elves moved in perfect harmony, their every action calculated.

"They're incredibly efficient," she murmured.

Evelyn nodded. "The elven bloodlines are powerful, but they are too arrogant if not for them looking down on every race."

Morganna smirked. "Pride leads to downfall… and downfall leads to entertainment."

They walked past the cafeteria, where students were already experimenting with different meal plans, some desperately calculating how much AC they would need to sustain themselves.

One student groaned. "I KNEW, I should've studied economics!"

Evelyn chuckled. "It's good to see some of them taking this seriously."grabbing a tray of food.

Morganna grabbed a small sweet from the trays, biting into it with a pleased hum. "At least the food is decent."

Elaine exhaled, enjoying the rare, peaceful moment with her friends.

While others explored the academy, Alistair made his way toward the Gravity Chamber.

He had no interest in wandering aimlessly.

He already knew the entire academy layout.

What mattered now… was getting stronger.

As he entered the chamber, the arcane runes pulsed, recognizing a new user.

He stepped toward the control panel, his black eyes scanning the settings.

"Let's see…"

[Gravity Increase: 2x, 5x…]

He didn't hesitate.

5x gravity.

The moment he confirmed it—

Boom!

The weight of the world slammed down on him.

Most students would have collapsed immediately.

But Alistair merely exhaled, his muscles tensing as he used mana to get adjusted .

Step.

He took a slow step forward, his boots grinding against the floor.

Sweat beaded on his brow, but his expression remained unreadable.

He moved into his stance, drawing his blade.

After the merge with ethan soul, Alastair's mind and sences have improved. Way to much, so that his body couldn't keep with his thoughts.

Best way to balance is to train, So body match his senses and thoughts.
