Chapter 46 - chapter 46: The tour

"Welcome to the academy"

"Now Follow me, darlings."

The students filed out of the lecture hall, still reeling from the weight of Selena's lesson.

Leon and some of the other noble-born students walked in front with their usual confidence, though a few had furrowed brows, clearly realizing that raw talent alone wouldn't be enough to dominate here.

Alistair moved near the back, his gaze calculating as he analyzed the academy's layout, committing everything to memory.

Selena led them through the grand corridors of the First-Year Wing, her voice smooth and inviting.

"This academy is more than just classrooms and books. Strength is forged through experience, after all."

She smiled playfully, her golden eyes gleaming.

"And we have many ways to temper you."

With a wave of her hand, the large double doors at the end of the hall glowed and slowly slid open—revealing the first facility.

A vast, open training space lay before them, the floors lined with arcane runes pulsing with deep blue energy.

Inside was several chambers. As they entered one of chamber.

"Welcome to the Gravity Chamber," Selena announced.

Students murmured in curiosity as they stepped inside.

At the far end of the chamber, several floating control panels hovered above enchanted pedestals.

Selena strode forward, pressing her palm against one, and the runes flared to life.

"This facility allows students to train under enhanced gravity."

She tapped the screen, and suddenly—

Boom!

The weight in the room intensified.

Several students staggered, their bodies struggling against the sudden increase in force.

"Each student can adjust the gravity settings to match their limits—or exceed them."

She turned, smiling at their struggling expressions.

"Of course, the stronger you become, the higher you'll need to push yourself."

Leon straightened his posture, adjusting quickly.

Elaine, Evelyn and other strong students barely reacted, their enhanced physiques handling the shift.

Some students clicked their tongue, pushing against the force with sheer willpower.

Then, with another tap, Selena deactivated the chamber, allowing the students to move freely again.

"Let's continue, shall we?"

"To our next destination."

****

After five minutes of walk, we reached the our destination.

The next destination was a massive archery hall lined with enchanted targets at varying distances.

Some students can be seen practicing. Most of them being elves.

High above, floating drones moved unpredictably, serving as aerial targets.

"The Archery Range," Selena purred, "where precision and speed are refined."

She gestured toward the weapons rack, where bows, crossbows, and mana-infused firearms rested.

"Most think archery is a minor skill, but those who underestimate it…"

A soft chuckle.

"Usually regret it when an arrow pierces their skull before they can react."

Sylara Ilthariel, the High Elven Princess, smirked. "Finally, something worth my time."

She stepped forward, selecting a sleek, silver bow.

With a smooth motion, she notched an arrow, her smooth green hair swaying as she pulled the string, her golden eyes locking onto a fast-moving drone.

She released.

Whoosh!

The arrow glowed with mana, streaking through the air—

And struck the drone dead center, shattering it in a burst of blue light.

Selena clapped softly. "Beautiful."

Sylara merely flicked her green hair back, unimpressed.

"Let's move on."

***

After leaving archery range.

They arrived at a towering dome-like structure filled with floating books, enchanted crystals, and alchemical stations.

Scholars in robes moved between study chambers, analyzing spells through glowing runic diagrams.

"The Magic Research Facility," Selena explained, "where students can develop new spells, craft potions, and study magical theory."

She waved her hand, and a holographic display appeared, showcasing categories of research:

- Spell Augmentation (Enhancing existing magic)

- Mana Efficiency Training (Reducing mana costs)

- Alchemy & Potion Brewing

- Forbidden Magic Studies (Restricted to high-ranking students)

Kieran Azurios raised a brow. "Forbidden magic?"

Selena smirked. "Ah, curiosity is such a lovely trait."

She leaned in slightly, her crimson eyes gleaming.

"Yes, the academy holds knowledge even the Empire fears."

A few students swallowed nervously.

Alistair simply committed the information to memory.

"To next stop."

After another short walk.

They stepped into a colossal, circular chamber with a glowing arena at the center.

Massive screens displayed various beasts—everything from low-level goblins to legendary dragons.

At the far end, a control panel flickered with settings.

"The Monster Simulator," Selena announced. "One of the most important training tools in the academy."

"You can select the rank, number, and type of monsters you wish to fight."

She tapped the console, and the room hummed with mana.

A portal materialized—

And a E-Rank Shadow Wolf emerged, snarling.

"Each monster is conjured using advanced illusion-matter hybrid magic," Selena continued.

"Meaning they are as real as you allow them to be."

Leon , already stepping forward. "Let me test this."

With a single motion, he drew his greatsword—

And in one thunderous strike, cleaved the Shadow Wolf in half.

The illusion dispersed into blue light.

Selena chuckled. "Impressive, but let's see how you handle higher difficulties… later."

She turned.

"Now, let's visit something more… relaxing."

Leaving the place behind we enter main building.

A grand hall filled with aromatic scents welcomed us.

Students from upper years sat at long tables, dining on luxurious meals that looked fit for nobility.

"Yes," Selena purred, "even warriors need to eat."

She gestured toward the floating menu displays.

"Meals here enhance mana recovery, stamina, and even mental clarity."

"But be warned—high-quality meals cost AC."

A few students groaned.

Leon, ever the noble, smirked. "A king eats like a king. Cost doesn't matter."

Selena smiled playfully. "I do hope your monthly AC can support that attitude."

Leon's smirk twitched.

Alistair, meanwhile, studied the all meal options.

****

The final stop was the open-air training fields.

"Here," Selena said, "is where duels, combat sparring, and military drills take place."

At the far end, rows of VR capsules gleamed under the sunlight.

"And these," she continued, "allow for hyper-realistic combat simulations."

"But one student can only use them for one hour daily"

She turned to face the class, placing her hands on her hips.

"This academy does not believe in just theory."

She smiled, but this time—there was a sharpness to it.

"You will fight."

"You will struggle."

"And only those who prove themselves will thrive."

She gestured toward the academy skyline.

"Now that you've seen what's at stake… let's see if you have what it takes to survive."

With that, the tour concluded.
