**IT'S SURELY THURSDAY**
I couldn't stop laughing, still remembering what Fuka said yesterday. I promised to cheer her up, but I don't think Yui will be into girls. *Hahahaha!*
"Why are you smiling so hard?" Inoue-san asked.
"Just thinking about something hilarious," I replied.
"Do you have any business with me?"
"No, I just want to sit at my desk."
"*Your* desk? And where is that?" I asked.
"Right in front of you. Don't you notice?"
"No, never realized that."
I saw the news about you parting ways. "Are you going to be okay?"
"Okay? Are you serious? It's like Giani saying, 'Ng freedom!'"
"That's nice. By the way, Inoue s—"
"It's *Misaki*," she cut me off. "Cut the straight talk. You're free to talk anyway?"
"More like we've gotten acquainted, I guess she said
"Are you quitting music or what?" I asked.
"No, thinking of being a one-man army. Just me."
"Wow, that's not bad. Care to notify me when you're back in action?"
"Uh, yeah, I guess," she answered, looking surprised.
"Are you into idol music?"
"Never said I was going to listen to it."
"Huh. That's cold."
"Ehh, you two are great friends!"
"Fuyuki!!!" Misaki blurted out.
"Yo, how are you doing?" she replied.
"Good afternoon, Fuyuki-san," I said, lifting my hand slightly.
"Can you *please* stop? You're already using my given name," she said.
"Sorry, that's what's common. Never heard any other name for you."
"Don't worry—I should be the one thanking you."
"I don't get you," I replied curiously.
"Misaki told me what you did. I'm so grateful."
"Fuyu—*ki*, can you please stop?" Misaki said.
"Why are you all red? Also, I heard you turned down her proposal."
Misaki covered her face to hide her expression.
"Sorry about that," I said.
"No problem," she replied jokingly
She and Misaki slipped into conversation mode. I stayed back, half-listening while watching the baseball game on the pitch.
**Conversation Between Fuyuki and Misaki**
"Why are you here? I thought you had basketball practice this afternoon."
"Yeah, but I got a surprising message from Himari. Been looking for her since then."
"What about you? It's lunch break, after all," Fuyuki replied.
"Just chilling. Forget about me—what's wrong with Himari?"
"Hmmm… She got a love confession," Fuyuki said.
"Wow!!! Who's the guy that confessed to our cute Himari?"
"A guy would've been normal. It's a *girl*."
*Haha!!!!!!*
Hananoi's laughter cut the conversation in two as the sound of a *Homerun!!!* echoed from the pitch.
"Why are you laughing?" Misaki asked.
"Don't be angry—just reminded of something that happened yesterday."
"It's not a laughing matter! It's strange getting a confession from your own gender. Do you know how she must feel right now?" Fuyuki shot at me.
"Totally sorry, your grace," I replied, still grinning.
"Okay, how would *you* feel if I suddenly said, 'I like you,' right now?" Fuyuki slammed her hand gently on the desk, locking her eyes on me.
Misaki looked totally shocked.
"Then yes, it is. I don't reject girls."
"Seriously, Hananoi? Then why did you reject *my* Misaki?"
"Please stop, Fuyuki! Why are you doing all this?" I gave a half-hearted grin as a response to her question.
"Forget it. I have to find her—she's too softhearted. Don't follow me, Misaki. You'll just end up teasing her."
Misaki was laughing. "Sorry, sorry! Forgive me for being antisocial."
She left.
"Why *were* you laughing earlier?" Misaki asked.
"I remembered I promised to support someone with the same interest."
"Seriously? That's wild," she replied.
"Why weren't *you* surprised?" I asked.
"Hmm… Let's just say I've gotten confessed to by my own gender close to five times, maybe."
"Wow, that's wild," I replied.
"Isn't it? What about you? Ever gotten a confession from a guy before?"
I turned my face back to the pitch, feigning ignorance.
"Seriously?! You have? When? How? And *who*?" She was way too into this.
"Once. Not an achievement."
"Mind sharing the story with me?" She rested her head on my desk like a kid promised candy.
"Are you into BL?"
"Yep, a lot. Read too much of it," she replied.
"Congratulations," I clapped jokingly.
"Yeah, that's me," she answered.
"There's no time left—I've got to go to the library before class starts."
*Library? After they wasted my afternoon?* I thought.
"What business do you have at the library?" I asked.
"Study, of course."
"Why study?"
"My job as a student," she shot back.
"Good for you, then," I replied.
"If you have anything to share about the test, meet me at the library," she said, leaving.
"Wait!" I called her back. "What test are you talking about?"
"What are you *saying*? Don't you know we have our first test this upcoming Monday?"
*Eh… She's got to be kidding.*
