The evening class had gotten cancelled, so Jihoon was free to return early. He figured he might as well drop by the supermarket to pick up some groceries. It was better to get it over with now than wait until Sunday when the place would be crowded. And while he was at it, he could also grab some snacks for Haneul.
As he stepped into the brightly lit mart, he didn't head straight for the produce section like he normally would. Instead, he pulled out his phone, thumb hovering over a familiar contact. Earlier during class, while casually checking his phone, he had noticed two missed calls from his great aunt Seokhee.
He was surprised to see them and had been wondering about it the whole day. But since he was always surrounded by one person or another, he decided it would be best to call her back when he was finally out of their sight.
