(New changes and lore expansion? - Chapter 7)
(Day: Sunday Morning)
"Ugh... did someone catch the driver's plate!?" I groaned, my head spinning and pounding.
{Oooohhh, look! Our little comedian wakes up after getting his ass kicked}
"Yeah, yeah, I get it." I grumbled, pushing myself up from the floor. My body ached, my mind still racing from what had just happened.
As I stood, I noticed something lying right in front of my legs—the Hellsing ARMS .454 Casull Auto. The same gun I had hidden on the top shelf of my closet. The realization hit me like a brick.
"That must have been what knocked me out," I muttered, rubbing the sore spot on my head.
Deciding to put the massive gun back where it belonged, I turned toward my full-length mirror. And that's when I saw it—dry blood matted into my hair.
…Wait.
I reached up, fingers brushing against the crusted blood on my scalp. My head should have been throbbing, my skull maybe even cracked from a hit like that. And yet, I felt fine.
Too fine.
"What the hell?" I whispered. "How did I heal so fast?"
{Ooooh, ooooh, I know this one! Pick me! Pick me!}
I sighed. "Alright, narrator. What is it?"
{Ding ding ding! It's the quill, bud.}
…Quill?
Oh.
OH SHIT.
My gaze snapped toward the bedroom floor, and there it was—a glowing, crackling blue quill.
Sonic's Quill.
It pulsed with raw, untamed energy, thin arcs of electricity dancing across its surface like miniature lightning bolts. The soft, neon blue hue of the quill almost felt hypnotic, the air around it subtly distorting as if charged with static.
I swallowed hard.
Just being near it made my skin tingle, my muscles twitch involuntarily. The quill practically hummed with unlimited power.
I took a few slow steps forward, unsure of what to do. The last time I touched it, my body was filled with energy, my mind racing a million miles per second. I had flung myself across the room like a ragdoll and crashed straight into my closet.
…And apparently, healed from a head wound overnight.
"Okay, okay… don't panic," I muttered under my breath.
{Oh yes, let's all remain calm while standing next to a literal fragment of goddamn sonic there}
I shot an unamused glare at the air. "You're so helpful."
Taking a deep breath, I crouched down and examined the quill closely. Even without touching it, I could feel the electric buzz just above my fingertips.
This thing was dangerous.
This thing was powerful.
And I was going to pick it up.
Taking a deep breath, I crouched down and examined the quill more closely. My fingertips hovered just above it, and I could already feel the electric buzz tingling against my skin.
"...Alright. What do I do with you?" I murmured, eyes locked on the quill that could either make me the fastest thing alive or vaporize me on the spot.
Deciding to be careful, I got a pair of leather gloves from my closet. Leather was a decent insulator, so it should stop me from being electrocuted. Thankfully, I was right.
With gloved hands, I picked up the quill and examined it closely. The texture was rough yet smooth in certain areas, almost like it had been worn down just by the speed at which Sonic moved. The color gradient was..striking, a faint electric blue at the tip but it got darker the further down it went.
In the movies, Doctor Eggman or Robotnik, whatever you prefer to call him, used Sonic's quill as a power source and got addicted to licking it. And let's not forget his grandfather, who also licked Shadow's quill in the movie, probably trying to slow his aging or extend his lifespan.
...Wait. If the shadow's quill is that powerful, then... what if I..
A thought hit me. A crazy one. There has to be a reason why Eggman licks the quill since he would never get addicted without a reason maybe it gave him a boast.
I brought the quill closer to my mouth, hesitating for just a second.
Before my tongue could even touch it,lightning touched my mouth and my mind exploded with ideas.
I could become Moon Knight. I already had his weapons; imagine if I met the pony version of Luna as Moon Knight.
I could become a monster hunter. I had a gun suited for taking down supernatural creatures. My shinobi reflexes made dodging attacks easier. If I played my cards right, I could eventually get my hands on holy water, demon slaying swords, and maybe even a certain scythe from Soul Eater.
But then, another thought wormed its way into my head, one that had been nagging me since I first arrived in this world.
If this human world mirrors Equestria… then what did Luna do to get banished or punished here?
The thought sent a chill down my spine. If history was even remotely similar, then whatever had happened must've been bad.
After all that, I pulled my mouth away from the quill. Yep, this confirms it. The quill speeds up everything: movement, thoughts, and even healing.
Yeah, it could probably cause damage if used for too long, but for now, I'll keep it.
I decided to sit by my desk, where Andrias' Cloak of Dominion was draped over the back of my chair. Honestly, the cloak made for a pretty good seat cover. Despite its solid structure, it was soft enough to be comfortable, adding a regal flair to my otherwise normal chair.
Leaning back and placing the quill on the desk, I let my thoughts wander. What else is out there in this world? There had to be more. I needed answers.
I turned to my computer and started searching. The internet here was still stuck in the early 2010s, so my options were limited. No deep-dive wikis, no convenient online archives, just old-school forums, scattered articles, and questionable sources.
That meant only one thing.
Time to do this the old-fashioned way.
Let's go to the public library!
After I take a shower...
(A hour and a half later)
"DAMN, I need to work out more…" I huffed, doubling over with my hands on my knees.
{It wasn't even that far!}
"I WALKED AND RAN FOR A WHOLE HOUR!" I shouted, throwing my arms up.
A nearby mother flinched, grabbing her kid's hand and quickly walking in the opposite direction, avoiding eye contact.
{Lol. Weirdo, am I right?}
"...Shut up."
Pushing open the library doors, I stepped inside and scanned the place. Adults and high school students moved between shelves, some buried in books, others hunched over desks trying to study. An old man sat in the corner flipping through a phone book of all things. Damn…Old ass
{Hey! That's not nice!}
"Yeah, yeah, my bad. That was kinda mean," I muttered, making my way toward the history section.
I ran my fingers across the book spines, skimming the titles.
Book: History of Canterlot. Yep, I need that.
Book: History of Crime. Nope. Not what I'm looking for.
Book: History of the Supernatural. …Might need that.
Book: Human History. Boring. Pass.
Book: History of Daring Do. Wait, they have these here too? Daring Do was basically Indiana Jones but fictional. No real-life adventures. At least, I think so… Not what I need right now, though.
Then, as I reached for another book- my fingers froze mid-air.
Book: The Journal of the Two Sis-
"Wait. WHAT!!"
{Jackpot?}
I grabbed the book, my fingers tightening around the worn edges. The cover displayed the base form of the Elements of Harmony, but what really caught my eye were the two golden alicorns…This book shouldn't exist.
Not only was The Journal of the Two Sisters no longer canon in my original world, but this was the human world! Why the hell was it here?
I stared at it for a moment, my brain struggling to process. Was this some kind of mistake? A glitch? Or was someone screwing with me?
Whatever. I wasn't going to let this opportunity slip by. Hugging the book to my chest, I turned around to grab the rest of my choices when-
I froze.
A young girl with dark purple hair, streaked with pink, stood a few shelves away, carefully scanning the books in the science and math section.
…Is that Sci-Twi?!
I watched as she methodically picked out four books, holding them in a precise stack before walking off.
Huh. She is kinda cute.
{Ah yes, the character appearance for the chapter.}
I rolled my eyes. "I wonder what chapter we're in?"
{Don't know.}
I blinked. "Wait, you don't know everything?"
{Yep.}
"As in… you do know everything, or you don't?"
{I don't know everything.}
"…Huh." That was weirdly reassuring.
Shaking my head, I gathered the rest of my books and headed to a table.
Time to study.
(One hour later)
Okay. I actually learned a lot from the Canterlot history book.
{New lore unlocked!}
I sighed. "I'm ignoring that."
Flipping through the pages again, I tapped my fingers against the desk.
So, Princess Celestia in this world helped establish Canterlot as one of the main cities, alongside Princess Amore. Together, they laid the foundation for what would later become Equestria, the country.
Yep. Equestria in this world was basically the United States.
Same level of influence, same kind of global presence. Even communism existed at one point though, like in my old world, it collapsed.
The Storm King was real, but he was just a small-time dictator. He had a brief reign before getting his ass handed to him.
And the way he died?
…Embarrassing.
Dude got taken out by an earthquake.
He just fell down a hole and that was it.
Damn.
Aside from that, there was no mention of Sombra, the Crystal Heart, or even Discord.
Not a single page.
It was weird. You'd think a shadow tyrant, a legendary artifact, and actually fucking chaos incarnate would at least get a footnote in a history book, but nope nothing. Either they never existed in this world, or they are one hundred percent normal.
That's not suspicious at all.
Shaking off that thought, I turned my attention to the next book, the one on supernatural creatures.
Now, this one was actually interesting.
Most of the monsters were what you'd expect, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and demons but some were… different.
For example, Wendigos weren't just the cannibalistic forest creatures from legends. Instead, they were split into two entirely different species:
Forest Wendigos – The classic, horror-movie kind. Tall, skeletal humanoids with antlers, sharp teeth, and a hunger for human flesh. Basic nightmare fuel.
Frozen Wendigos – These ones were unique. Instead of resembling emaciated humans, they looked more like eerie, skeletal horses, their icy bodies blending into the tundras they called home. Unlike their forest cousins, they don't hunt for flesh but they thrive in blizzards, spreading cold and despair wherever they go.
So… that's what the Hearth's Warming story was based on? Damn. That was creepy but also kinda cool.
Flipping a few more pages, I stopped when I saw another familiar name…Sirens.
Now, these ones were exactly like the ones from my world, powerful beings that feed off people by using their voices
Except…
According to this book, they were way more human than fish.
No scaly tails, no mermaid-like lower halves, just..normal. Their songs still carried magic, but instead of just manipulating emotions, they could create hallucinations sometimes, influence people, and can even mimic voices perfectly.
That… might be a problem.
If the Sirens are in this world and still around, then I might be seeing them way sooner than I expected.
I closed the book slowly, exhaling.
This world is getting more complicated by the second.
(Another hour later)
Alright, not gonna lie—this is kinda boring.
I read through The Journal of the Two Sisters, and while it was cool to go through, it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know.
Like, yeah, Celestia and Luna grew into their roles as rulers, and yeah, Star Swirl the Bearded was stroking his ego here. But honestly?
Dude was kind of a dick.
I barely remember all the episodes he was in, but from what I do recall, he had that whole "I'm the greatest wizard of all time, so your opinion is invalid" attitude. Yeah, real likable guy.
But even if the book wasn't super useful, it confirmed some major things.
The pony world exists. Not just as a myth, not as some half-baked legend it actually exists and the portal in canterlot high is the main way to enter.
The Elements of Harmony are real.
The Sirens? Yeah, they might still be around.
And that is where things get weird.
See, in the show, Star Swirl banished them. But there's no way of knowing when they actually arrived here.
One of two things could've happened:
Option A: They got yeeted into this world a thousand years ago, meaning they've either adapted, died off, or somehow managed to keep their magic alive for centuries.
Option B: The spell that hit them screwed with time, and they only showed up recently, meaning they've been here this whole time—probably blending in, walking among humans in secret.
…Yeah, I really hope it's not Option B.
Because if they are still around? That adds another future problem but in the series they appear so I should get ready.
{Did you know that season 1-3 probably happened in one year, well at least that's what QuantumHippoloist says!}
Not going to ask.
(30 minutes later)
After closing the last book and rubbing my tired eyes, I decided it was time to head home. Researching was cool and all, but after spending hours reading about ancient history and mythical creatures, my brain felt like mashed potatoes.
Like seriously, what does Clifford the Big Red Dog even eat? Hes massive!!
{You know what else is massive?}
"Shut up."
Stepping outside, I inhaled the crisp evening air and started my walk home. The sun had already begun its descent, casting a warm glow over the town. Everything was peaceful. Quiet.
On my way home I saw someone sitting on a park bench.
Long pink hair, hunched shoulders, an old DS Lite with bunny stickers on it clutched tightly in her hands.
Fluttershy.
She was completely absorbed in whatever she was playing, her fingers tapping frantically against the buttons. I took a few silent steps closer, peeking over her shoulder.
Pokémon Platinum.
And not just any part of Platinum, she was battling the Elite Four.
I squinted at her screen, watching as her team struggled against Cynthia's Garchomp.
Oh my god. She's using a Togekiss against a level 66 Garchomp. A Togekiss. No fairy-type moves because fairy-types didn't exist yet. Just a fluffy bird going up against a dragon with murder in its eyes. This was gonna be a massacre..
"…You're about to get destroyed," I muttered.
Fluttershy yelped, nearly dropping her DS. She turned around so fast that I barely dodged her accidental headbutt. Her wide teal eyes met mine, startled.
"Oh! Um… h-hi, Berry," she stammered, gripping her DS
I smirked, leaning against the bench. "Didn't mean to scare you, but you thought a Togekiss could take down Cynthia's Garchomp?"
Fluttershy pouted slightly, her grip on the DS tightening. "W-Well… T-Togekiss is strong, and I believe in her…"
I leaned in again, watching as Garchomp immediately landed a critical-hit Dragon Rush. One-shot. Gone.
"…Welp."
Fluttershy sighed, visibly deflating.
"Don't take it too hard," I said. "Cynthia's Garchomp exists to ruin lives."
"I know…" she mumbled. "But I wanted to win without using Pokémon that looked too scary…"
I blinked. "Wait. So your whole team is just… cute Pokémon?"
She nodded shyly. "Mhm."
I whistled. "Damn. You're playing Platinum on hard mode, huh?"
Fluttershy giggled softly, ducking her head. "I-I guess so…"
For some reason, that laugh made my stomach feel weird. Not in a bad way—just… weird.
Before I could unpack that, I pulled out my Yo-Yo of Tricks and flicked my wrist, letting it snap forward.
{Trying to impress someone?}
Shut up
Fluttershy tilted her head. "Oh, what's that?"
"Oh this?" I grinned. "This is a new toy I got recently. Wanna see some tricks?"
Her eyes lit up instantly. "Oh! Yes, please!"
Taking a deep breath, I let the yo-yo spin downward before snapping it back up effortlessly. I transitioned into a walk-the-dog, rolling it along the pavement before flicking it back into my palm.
Fluttershy clapped softly. "That was so smooth!"
"Thanks, I'm just getting started."
Next, I pulled off a rock-the-cradle, forming a small triangle with the string and bouncing the yo-yo inside it like a tiny swing. Then I moved into a loop-the-loop, making the yo-yo spin in rapid circles before catching it with ease.
Fluttershy gasped. "That's amazing! How long have you been practicing?"
I shrugged. "Not long. Guess I just have good reflexes."
{Shinobi Reflexes and the item helps you too.}
Ignoring the narrator, I flicked the yo-yo into the air, spun it, and caught it cleanly.
Fluttershy clapped again, smiling brightly.
"That was really cool, Berry."
I felt my smirk falter slightly.
That smile of hers… it was genuine. Excited. Happy.
I wasn't used to that, especially not directed at me, anyway.
It was… nice.
I cleared my throat. "Well, now that I've impressed you with my yo-yo mastery, tell me—how many times have you actually beaten Cynthia?"
Fluttershy fidgeted. "U-um… n-never."
I gasped dramatically, placing a hand over my heart. "Never?!"
She turned even redder. "I-I always get close! But then… G-Garchomp…"
I chuckled. "Yeah, that sounds about right."
Leaning back, I glanced up at the darkening sky. "Alright, let's talk strategy. You wanna keep your team cute, fine, but we gotta make sure they're strong too."
Fluttershy hesitated. "Y-you think I can?"
I shot her a confident smirk. "Of course. There are plenty of adorable Pokémon that also kick ass. Let's build you a cute but deadly team."
And just like that, we spent hours talking about nothing but Pokémon.
We brainstormed stronger yet adorable team members—Mamoswine, Gardevoir, Milotic, Azumarill with Huge Power. We debated which starter was the best (she picked Piplup, I picked Chimchar). We ranted about how Whitney's Miltank was a crime against humanity or how cute it was...Yes it was her.
At some point, Fluttershy completely forgot to be shy. She talked freely, her voice picking up when she gushed about Bug-types, Pokémon Contests, and her dream of catching a Shaymin someday.
The whole time, I just… listened.
And for the first time in a long time, I wasn't in a rush to be anywhere else.
Hours passed and a cool breeze rolled in as the golden hues of sunset stretched across the sky. The once-busy park had quieted down, leaving just the rustling of leaves and the soft chime of Fluttershy's DS as the only sounds around us
Fluttershy glanced at her DS time and gasped. "O-oh no… I-I should head home…"
I stretched. "Yeah, me too."
She hesitated for a moment, then gave me a small, almost hesitant smile. "U-um… thank you, Berry."
I raised an eyebrow. "For what?"
She fidgeted. "I-I don't usually… talk to people much… But this was… fun."
I smirked. "Hey, anytime you need to rant about Pokémon, you know where to find me."
Fluttershy giggled softly and nodded.
We went our separate ways, and as I walked home, something felt… off.
Not in a bad way.
Just… different.
The air was cool, the town quiet, but for some reason, I wasn't focused on my usual thoughts. No deep reflections about the system, no obsessing over my next gacha roll.
Instead, all I could think about was her laugh.
Her smile.
The way she talked when she wasn't holding back.
I shook my head. Nah. I don't—
I stopped in my tracks.
Without even realizing it, I had started humming a tune.
Before I could stop myself, my voice came out softly:
🎶 Wise men say… only fools rush in…
But I… can't help… falling in love with you… 🎶
I froze.
Then, I clenched my jaw.
"…Oh, hell no. Fuck this world's logic!"
Shoving my hands in my pockets, I walked faster.
{Oooooh, someone's in denial~}
"Shut. Up!!"
…Today was a good day to be alive.

Writer here
This chapter primarily focused on world-building, introducing another member of the Main 7, and confirming the existence of the Sirens. It also raised a key mystery, the Journal of the Two Sisters and how it ended up in the human world.
The book itself won't be a major plot point, but let's just say a certain girl from another world brought it here, lost track of it, and through a series of events, it somehow landed in the library. She won't be showing up just yet, but trust me, she's coming… eventually.
Fluttershy & Berry's Growing Connection:
This chapter also served as the first real step in Berry and Fluttershy's relationship. Right now, she sees him as kind and easy to talk to, something she isn't used to. Over time, she'll gradually begin to trust him and open up more. No instant besties—just natural, steady development.
As for Berry? He's starting to develop a crush.
It's subtle and he doesn't fully realize it yet/ tries to deny it but the fact that she's genuinely kind to him and actually sees him as a person is affecting him more than he's willing to admit. Unlike others who:
See him as just another classmate.
See him as someone to feed but not acknowledge. (Looking at you, parents…)
See him as an obsession or their only friend. (Cough Wallflower Cough)
Romance & Future Possibilities:
Now, as for romance,there are many girls who could be potential love interests, but I'll say this right now: this is probably not going to be a harem story.
I mean, even in real life, dating all the Main 7 would be kinda weird. So Berry will probably have:
One girlfriend (a focused, single love story), or…
A love triangle/smaller poly relationship (2–4 people at most).
I'm still writing this story as it goes, so nothing is set in stone. But probably no full Main 7 harem and unless somehow I am convinced then...May the best girl win!
Future Interludes & Q&A:
Later, I plan on writing an interlude that gives insight into how other characters view Berry and their thoughts on his actions. There will also be a Q&A chapter later on, where I'll answer questions and explain certain things about the story, if people want to read that.
For now, let's see where Berry's journey takes him since I am still writing it. Yes there is a mission that will eventually pop up in the system.
P.S: Oh, and by the way, does anyone listen to the new Playboi Carti album? It's… alright. Not bad, not great. Just alright.
