Chapter 165 - Chapter 162: she was? What can you be?

At the Five Kage Summit, the room was silent.

Tsunade and Kakashi remained calm, sitting there as if nothing in the world could shake them.

The other four Kage, though outwardly composed, were deep in thought, analyzing the situation.

Two shinobi, standing in the shadows, exchanged whispers.

"They really aren't worried about that girl?" one of them murmured.

The other glanced at Tsunade, who sat confidently, then shook his head.

"She's not someone to take lightly. Judging by their attitude, they must have complete trust in her."

Just then, a small light flickered in the center of the room.

Everyone immediately tensed.

A second later, the glow intensified, forming a luminous circle in midair. The magic circle hovered, filled with intricate patterns and runes. Then—without warning—it expanded, covering the entire conference hall.

Tsunade and Kakashi exchanged glances.

They recognized this entrance immediately.

It was Sakiya.

Sure enough, the light at the center of the circle gathered and took shape. As the radiance peaked, a silhouette emerged—Sakiya had arrived.

She struck a dramatic pose, one hand forming a scissor shape in front of her eye while the other pointed outward with confidence.

"Behold! The return of the Eye of Death!"

The glowing circle pulsed once more, illuminating the entire room, as if adding a spotlight to her grand entrance.

For a moment, there was silence.

Then—

A few spectators hesitantly clapped.

Realizing they were the only ones doing so, they awkwardly lowered their hands, sinking into deep embarrassment.

Meanwhile, Sakiya remained in her pose, her expression unwavering.

The other Kage simply stared at her, their gazes unreadable.

Then—

A long, awkward silence settled over the room.

After watching this… theatrical display, the Five Kage had only one thought:

"This girl… is ridiculous."

For a moment, everyone in the room was at a loss.

The words they had been preparing—the critical questions on their minds—vanished into thin air.

Their only collective thought was:

[Did she really just come here to put on a show?!]

A long, awkward ten seconds passed.

Finally, Tsunade and Kakashi—who were used to dealing with all sorts of nonsense—managed to recover.

Tsunade cleared her throat, forcing a calm expression.

"Ahem… Sakiya, how did the battle go?"

At the mention of the enemy, Sakiya instantly snapped back to reality, flashing a confident smile.

"The enemy? Oh, that guy?"

She waved her hand dismissively, her posture full of energy.

"Of course, I let him escape!"

Silence.

Everyone's faces stiffened. Internally, they all screamed—

"Why are you acting proud about that?!"

Noticing their reactions, Sakiya casually added, "Oh, don't worry. That kind of enemy? I could handle ten of them with one hand!"

The tension in the room eased slightly.

But then—

She paused.

"No, ten is too low."

She raised both hands, spreading her fingers wide, grinning at the crowd.

"At least this many!"

Silence returned.

Tsunade leaned toward Kakashi and muttered without changing her expression, "Are you absolutely sure she graduated from the Academy? Because I'm seriously starting to question the standards of the exam…"

Meanwhile, Sakiya dropped her hands, scanning the room with an exaggerated look of disappointment.

"Ugh, what I meant was that the number is so high, I can't even count it on both hands. But I knew you mortals wouldn't grasp my true meaning right away."

She's messing with us.

A tic-tac-toe vein popped on Raikage's forehead.

And it wasn't just him—everyone was grinding their teeth at the girl standing before them.

Even Tsunade and Kakashi felt like they were being played.

But they knew this wasn't the time to argue.

Kakashi, ever the peacemaker, stood up and grabbed the back of Sakiya's collar with one hand. Without hesitation, he picked her up and casually tossed her behind him.

Then, with a forced smile, he turned to the frustrated Kage.

"Sorry, everyone~ Sakiya's still young and a little… naive. Please don't take her too seriously."

From behind him, Sakiya poked her head out, pouting.

"Hah! I'm not a kid! What I said was—"

Thwack.

Kakashi chopped her on the head mid-sentence.

"Oww!~"

Ignoring her, he pressed her head down, keeping her out of sight. Then, as if nothing had happened, he turned back to the group, grinning.

"Haha~ don't mind her. Haha."

Tsunade, taking over, suddenly grabbed Sakiya and smothered her in a tight hold.

Sakiya flailed wildly, her arms swinging, her body trembling—

But Tsunade held firm.

The struggle lasted for a minute before Sakiya finally stopped moving. A small, white soul seemed to float from her head.

Satisfied, Tsunade unceremoniously dumped the unconscious girl to the side and turned back to the group.

With a straight face, she declared—

"The meeting continues."

Raikage and the others just stared.

Did she just—?

Tsunade, sensing the awkwardness, cleared her throat.

"Ahem. Let's just pretend that didn't happen. Right, nothing happened. Moving on!"

A few of them twitched but said nothing.

Slowly, everyone composed themselves and returned to their seats.

The meeting actually resumed.

This time, despite all the chaos earlier, the discussion was surprisingly productive.

Tsunade laid out detailed intelligence on Akatsuki, making it clear how serious the situation was. Then, in a bold move, she voluntarily stepped down from her claim to leadership, proving she wasn't here to seize power—just to stop the threat.

This unexpected humility won her credibility.

Ohnoki, without argument, nominated Tsunade as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Terumi Mei and Gaara immediately supported the decision.

Even Raikage, who had a history of distrusting Konoha, begrudgingly agreed.

And so, Tsunade was officially chosen as the supreme leader of the alliance.

Raikage was appointed Chief of Staff.

Gaara became the Captain of the Ninja Allied Forces.

And Sakiya?

Tsunade, with a straight face, introduced her as the core of the combat division.

No one objected.

…Though their faces definitely said they had doubts.

But, well—Tsunade was the Supreme Commander.

With the leadership settled, the meeting wrapped up.

Now, the real challenge began—assembling the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Forming a united front wouldn't be easy.

The five great nations had deep-seated grudges, and centuries of conflict wouldn't just vanish overnight.

But this war wasn't about history.

It was about survival.
