"Think of it, Lucian," Aiden says, his voice trembling with the weight of revelation, eyes locked on his. "If we saw the same vision together, then these marks have formed on us together, then it has to mean something! Something to do with that damn tree. Lucian stares at him for a heartbeat longer, the words sinking into his bones like truth carried on wind.
His chest rises and falls, adrenaline thrumming beneath his skin, and the tattoo at his neck still faintly warm.
"Okay!" he finally bursts out, hands gripping the wheel. "I honestly think this is the Moon Goddess's doing. And you're right. The fact that even our memory is back, then she must really want us to do something, and fast!"
He doesn't hesitate. He turns the key, the engine growling back to life as he slams a hand onto the gear.
