There was a thick darkness all around, clouding Ark's vision, in the depths of the darkness nothing was made known to him, he simply waited, powerless to do anything else.
A strong chilly wind blew past him, rattling his clothes and then Ark felt something moist land on his cheek, it was then followed by a multitude of other raindrops.
Unlike the rain Ark had grown to know, it sounded catastrophic and twisted, like something that was not meant to exist.
It was like each drop crashing against the floor came with a strange un-earthly sound, a sound oddly similar to twisting iron.
An abnormality.
He was running, his heart pounding in his chest to the point that he felt it might burst into a thousand pieces, spilling his blood on the desolate landscape
The further he ran, it seemed the less progress he made, and that laughter… it was very much present, a mocking voice in his head disorienting every thought.
'But when did the laughing start?'
