Back in the PLANTs Athrun was being gave a special mission he was made a member of FAITH by Chairman Durandal.
The mission was to be part of the crew of the Minerva and keep and eye on Jason Knight.
He was delivering the two new machines that just got finished.
Athrun's machine was the Saviour and the other was for Jason the Proto-Saviour which was a black and white color.
Athrun set off for ORB to be met with being attacked by the ORB forces that had scramble to keep him from landing there.

He was finally able to find the Minerva and get on board.
