Chapter 3 - Satire Sunday

Sunday arrived, and Do-Yun got up and took a shower in the morning, debating whether to register as a [Blazer] as his class had never been heard of before.

"There are the regular classes: Warrior, Mage, Archer, Assassin, Tank, Martial Artist and Healer. But then there are Class evolutions. Wizard and Witch, Cleric, Paladin, Berserker, Sharpshooter, Tamer, Thief, Vanguard, Boxer and Monk... Then there are anomalous classes. Classes that happen to be anomalies: Samurai, Blood Weaver, Summoner, Scout, Strategist, And myself. The [Transport Warrior]. There are not many class anomalies in the world. I should count myself either lucky or unlucky or both."

Do-Yun spit out the water in his mouth from brushing his teeth. He then went back to his room, got dressed again, and took out the skate shoes once again.

"It would be great if I could cast fireballs while slashing through my enemies" Do-Yun daydreamed about possible future abilities, putting the shoes on, they felt like regular sneakers, and then he walked out of his house.

"[Transport Link]"

Do-Yun uttered the words that activated his skill, suddenly feeling that same cold sensation go from his head down to his toes, then felt as if his mana circuit ran deeper, right into the shoes he wore, a click sound came from the shoes and the wheels popped out, without him having to think about it.

"Move forward." He thought as he subconsciously began to lean forward and his wheels propelled him forward. But He didn't panic like the last time. He was calm. Almost in a trance-like state of unbridled concentration as he moved forward, he leaned from side to side to side, until his thoughts reverberated through his mind

"Faster"

His surroundings blurred even more, but he felt something different, he could control himself at this speed he felt his control intensifying as he moved down the block, passing by an unwitting Eun-Ji and even some of his classmates, some of the girls he recognized. Mi-Cha Park, the queen bee of his class, and her brother, Seong-Ho. In mere moments, he weaved around them as if they were nothing more than obstacles. He could hear the complaints of civilians he narrowly avoided, startled or angered.

"Hey Kid! Watch where you're Riding with those things!" One person said they began to power walk away.

"Stop."

Do-Yun finally stopped, he twisted his leg to the side, stopping all motion as he looked back. He made solid eye contact with Eun-Ji, then Mi-Cha, then Seong-ho, he seemed to be abruptly stomping toward him.

"Move back! Uhhh... Reverse!" Do-Yun said, confusing his pursuer before that same cold feeling of his mana rushing down to his feet, propelled him backward, narrowly avoiding Seong-ho's grab.

"What the!?" Seong-ho caught himself, looking extremely confused before looking at Do-Yun.

"Get back here, you rat!" Seong-ho dashed forward, only to grasp at thin air

"Again!? How are you...!?" Seong-ho was angry and confused as he looked.

"As long as I'm on wheels...you'll never catch me. Reverse." Do-Yun gave him a look of utter disdain as he spat his words with contempt

Seong-Ho looked furious at his words and attempted to catch him, wanting to grab him by the wrist, but he once again missed.

Do-Yun's wheels began spinning in the opposite direction, propelling him backward before he pivoted his entire body into a turn.

"Forward," Do-Yun said as he sped off.

"System. Show my HP and MP reserves."

"FSH" The system window responded

HP: 202/202

MP: 60/100-> 59/100-> 58/100...

"Oh damn... So my skill requires mana to maintain it... and I have a rather average mana pool as just a starter...I never realized this... I'll have to watch out for my mana usage in the future..."

Just as he said that, he came across a discarded pipe and he picked it up.

The System even gave him a prompt.

[Steel Pipe] Just a discarded Pipe, what was it a part of? Guess we'll never know!

"Was Hermes a god with a shitty taste of Humor?" Do-Yun asked the system, with no response, but suddenly, the pipe vanished and an inventory window popped up in front of him, showing the pipe inside his inventory, the numbers in the corner said 1/100 filled. Seeing as it was fitting since all Blazers had an inventory it was only fair he had one too. With the rest of his mana, he decided to get home.

"Check the steel pipe stats," Do-Yun said, not amused or expecting much.

"VSH" The system window issued a notice, with a picture of the steel pipe, with

Basic ATK Power: 10

ATK Speed: High

+1 INT

+2 ATK Power

"Wait..." Do-Yun blinked twice and tried to hold back his laughter.

"You've gotta be joking... Even if it's a tiny bit... Damn...!" Do-Yun laughed to himself, not believing a pipe, a discarded piece of galvanized, overlooked scrap metal, could increase his stats, much less his INT stat. He then put away the stat window and sat down to catch his breath.

"It's a good thing a stamina meter doesn't exist... If it ran out, that would be my end... Humanity's end...It almost makes me wonder how people would bear playing games with one. It sounds infuriating." Do-Yun thought to himself imagining the scenario of someone running out of stamina points only to be completely helpless until it regenerated and shuddered at the thought of that being a possibility for anyone if that kind of mechanic was put into the system

He quickly sped home as the wheels engaged and with a driving force, propelled him toward his destination before it got completely dark.
