Cherreads

Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: One Out and One In, Nothing Happened!

Snape was overwhelmed by a huge pain and finally couldn't bear it anymore. He let out a scream, but with his strong willpower, he quickly held back his scream.

"Bear it, huh? I'll make you bear it! You stared into Harry's eyes. Do you want to bring Aunt Lily back to life?"

Dudley got even angrier. He raised his hand and cast another Cruciatus Curse.

This time, Snape forced himself to endure it again. The blood on his body mixed with the sweat from suffering the pain. As he struggled and rolled around, he looked even more disheveled.

"Still holding it in? Then these two curses are for my mother to avenge the bullying she endured from you in her childhood! You scumbag! You even bullied the Muggle sister you fancied. What else can't you do?"

Dudley cast two consecutive Cruciatus Curse, full of hatred. The raging magic power even made Snape's body float in the air.

"Ah—"

Snape reached the limit of his endurance and finally couldn't hold back. He opened his mouth and let out a scream of pain even louder than before.

Dudley was satisfied.

He stopped casting spells to torture Snape.

He was afraid that if he cast a few more Cruciatus Curse, Snape would be driven crazy by the torture.

Snape couldn't go crazy. That would be too good for him!

With this thought in mind, Dudley called Harry and turned to leave. He directly opened the door of the potion - making studies classroom and walked out.

"Come on, Hermione, Neville, Seamus, let's go too!"

After Dudley and Harry left, Ron was the first to act. Fearing that Snape would take revenge later, he supported Hermione, called his dormitory mates, and also wanted to leave.

At this time, Hermione and Neville were feeling guilty and didn't say a word. Hearing Ron's words, Seamus quickly grabbed Neville and followed Ron. They quickly walked out of the potion - making studies classroom.

After Ron and his group left, the others gradually got excited.

The remaining Gryffindor first - years didn't know whether they should leave or stay. On the other hand, Malfoy became the leader of the Slytherin first - years. He began to give orders and make arrangements.

"Crabbe, Goyle, come with me to check on Professor Snape. Pansy, you call a few girls and act separately. Go find Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey, the school nurse!"

"Wait!"

Just as the Slytherin first - years were about to act according to Malfoy's arrangement, unexpectedly, Snape, who was lying on the ground moaning beside the podium, recovered a bit. He propped up his severely injured body and forced himself to stand up.

Moreover, in his blind state after being hit by the eye curse, relying on the location in his memory, he cast a long - range spell to close the door of the potion - making studies classroom.

The remaining Gryffindor first - years were terrified and full of regret. They wished they had slipped away with Ron and the others.

Now, seeing this situation, they were really afraid they'd be in trouble.

The Slytherin first - years were very surprised and bewildered. Their headmaster was in such a bad condition. Why did he still stop them from going out for help?

"Professor Snape, are you okay?"

Malfoy, with Crabbe and Goyle, rushed to Snape's side and tried to help him up, but Snape pushed them away with his hand.

Professor Snape propped up his battered body and took out his wand. First, he cast five or six powerful healing spells on his body to stop the bleeding and initially heal his internal and external wounds.

Then, he cast a Cleaning Spell to remove the bloodstains on his body, making himself look less disheveled.

After that, he pointed his wand at his own eyes and kept whispering the counter - spell of the eye curse. Soon, his vision became a bit clearer, and he could roughly see the outside world.

"Professor, are you okay?"

Malfoy waved his hand in front of Snape's eyes. Snape gave him an utterly empty look, which instantly startled Malfoy.

Snape didn't answer Malfoy's question. Instead, he scanned the remaining students in the classroom. Under the terrified and shocked gazes of the students, he pointed the tip of his wand at them.

"Obliviate!"

A dazzling white light instantly swept across the entire potion - making studies classroom, covering all the first - years from Slytherin and the remaining first - years from Gryffindor.

When the white light faded, everyone forgot the horrible scene of Snape being tortured just now and only remembered that they had just come for the potion - making studies class.

"Find your seats and sit down. I'm going to take attendance!"

Enduring the remaining injuries and severe pain on his body, Snape pretended nothing had happened and slowly walked back to the podium.

It was as if he had just come for the potion - making studies class and nothing had happened during that time.

Malfoy rubbed his head in great confusion, wondering why he was standing so close to the podium.

But seeing that his strict - looking house master was about to start the class, he could only take Crabbe and Goyle to the area where the Slytherin first - years were gathered and sat back in the seats where their cauldrons and potion materials were already placed.

The other first - years whose memories had been erased did the same.

Each of them sat back in their original seats with a bit of a dazed look on their faces.

On the podium, Snape picked up the class register and pretended to read it quickly. Finally, he said:

"Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger... Five students from Gryffindor are absent. Each will have..."

"Wait! We're not late!"

Before Snape could finish saying the words about deducting points, the door of the potion - making studies classroom opened automatically.

Dudley, with his cousin and a group of companions with different expressions, appeared in front of Snape again.

Snape's expression turned extremely ugly. Especially when he saw that Harry's eyes had 'turned' golden - brown, he was jolted as if by an electric shock and recalled some very unpleasant and long - past memories.

"Professor Snape, these Gryffindor friends of mine have already placed the tools for brewing potions and the purchased potion materials on their seats in advance. They just went to the washroom. They shouldn't be deducted points by you, right?"

While speaking indifferently, Dudley and his companions sat back in their original seats as if nothing had happened.

However, the hatred and resistance against Snape shown on the faces of Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, and Seamus clearly showed that something had happened.

Just now, after Ron and the others emerged, they were stopped by Dudley, who had come out earlier, and Dudley cast the Invisibility Charm to conceal their figures.

Along with Dudley and Harry, they returned to the entrance of the potion - making studies classroom.

They all heard Snape shout Obliviate, so naturally, they didn't like Snape.

This time, Snape on the podium didn't retort or oppose Dudley. Instead, he accepted Dudley's approach, endured the excruciating pain all over his body, and got straight to the point.

He began to teach the first - years of the two houses how to brew a simple Sarcasm - Bane potion.

During this period, sitting high on the podium, he continued to silently cast spells to treat his eye disease. Meanwhile, he used his sense of smell and hearing to make up for his poor vision and observed the students below brewing their potions.

Whenever a student made the slightest mistake, Snape would fly into a rage, scold loudly, and spew vitriol at them from a distance.

However, Snape was in a really poor state now, and the power of his vitriol had declined significantly.

Moreover, he didn't step down to slap the backs of the heads of the students who made mistakes and administer simple corporal punishment.

In the past, this was his essential teaching method in class.

As for Dudley and Harry, Snape either intentionally or unintentionally ignored them. Even though the Sarcasm - Bane potions they brewed were quite good, they didn't receive any points from Snape.

So Dudley had to give points to Harry himself.
