Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Relax, the dizziness is normal~

Boom, boom, boom!

The troll's footsteps were thunderous as it charged toward the three of them, swinging its massive club, radiating an overwhelming sense of pressure.

Contrary to what Tom and André had expected, Wade didn't use that strange, unfathomable magic. Instead, he simply drew his wand and gave a slight flick toward the troll.

"Sectumsempra!"

Swish!

This spell, Snape's future invention, had appeared in Wade's hand decades ahead of time.

In fact, once Wade realized his power truly was magic, he had begun researching all the spells he had known about before transmigrating, including those that wouldn't appear until much later in history.

That's also why Tom had already learned the Levicorpus spell from him.

And as Snape's signature spell, Sectumsempra was naturally something Wade wouldn't overlook.

This spell was, in truth, an improved version of the cutting curse. Wade had spent considerable effort restoring it to the form he remembered from the original works.

As Wade cast Sectumsempra, mid-charge, the troll's head suddenly tumbled from its shoulders!

Boom!

Like a mountain collapsing, the headless corpse of the troll crashed to the ground, then, carried by momentum, slid forward for some distance before coming to a stop right at Wade's feet.

"Whaaaaaat!?"

The three goblins instantly cried out in alarm, staring in disbelief at the scene before them.

"How is this possible? What spell is that? It actually pierced our armor's defense!"

"It didn't pierce the armor—it struck the unprotected neck!"

"Don't panic! We'll handle this ourselves!"

Wade stared expressionlessly at the three goblins as they drew their crossbows.

Just as they were about to fire, Wade flicked his wand.

A red spell shot forth, splitting into three midair, and struck all three goblins at once!

Thud...Thud...Thud...

The three goblins fell to the ground almost at the same time.

Andre and Tom looked at Wade in shock.

One spell killed a giant monster in armor, and another made the three goblin collapse!

But... how did one spell split into three? Why aren't there any courses to learn this!?

Just when Tom and Andre were shocked, Wade had already walked in front of the three goblins.

"Tell me, what is your purpose here? Are you searching for something secretly?"

Although the three goblins were knocked down, they were not dead yet.

Because Wade only used the petrification spell, which temporarily made them unable to move except for their mouths.

However, the three goblins did not speak, and even glared at Wade.

"It doesn't matter if you don't answer, I have plenty of ways..." Wade tapped the magic wand on the head of one of the goblins.

The next second, the goblin's eyes became extremely terrified!

After more than ten seconds...

"I'll tell you! I'll tell you everything!" The goblin screamed in fear.

Wade removed the wand from his head and slowly pointed it at his neck.

"No need to say anything, now I already know everything…" As Wade slowly moved his wand, a gruesome gash appeared across the goblin's neck.

"Ugh…" The goblin's eyes widened in terror, but he had no way to resist, only able to watch helplessly as Wade cut his throat open.

Wade spoke gently, "Relax… relax… the dizziness is normal… it'll be over soon…"

This scene not only horrified the remaining two goblins but also left Tom and André completely stunned!

Tom felt a surge of complicated emotions. How is this guy able to speak so mildly while slaughtering people? Looks like… I'm still not as ruthless as you…

The two goblins were so terrified they nearly went mad.

"Don't kill me! Please don't kill me! I'll talk!"

"I'll talk, I'll talk!"

"Here's how it is, we…"

Wade put away his wand, and the goblin's lifeless body slumped to the ground.

He turned his gaze to the other two goblins, his eyes icy cold.

"What happened earlier is over. But right now… did I say you're allowed to speak?"

"..."

The Forbidden Forest was deathly silent.

Whether it was the two goblins who had just been begging for their lives, or Tom and André standing behind, all of them were startled by the sudden change in Wade's demeanor.

"I'll ask, and you answer. And don't even think about lying—I can tell," Wade's voice had lost its previous warmth.

Tom was puzzled, unsure what information Wade had learned from the first goblin to make him this angry.

The two goblins trembled uncontrollably, especially with their companion's corpse still lying beside them.

Wade had originally planned to continue using Nightmare Magic to interrogate the two goblins. But after thinking for a moment, he decided to question them directly in front of Tom and André.

In truth, he already knew the goblins' objective. However, he needed these goblins to reveal certain things to Tom and André.

Wade looked at the two goblins in front of him, then pointed his wand at the one whose expression showed the most fear.

"You. Speak. Why were you sneaking around the Forbidden Forest?"

The goblin stared at the wand aimed at him, feeling an icy chill around his neck.

"...We're here to find something. Something that will allow us goblins to reclaim the power and status that rightfully belong to us," the goblin stammered.

"What is it?" Wade asked.

"A type of magical power! A magic that anyone can easily absorb! Anyone who absorbs this magic will see their own power surge! Even someone originally weak and mediocre can instantly become powerful!" the goblin blurted, speaking fast and breathless, as if afraid that if he spoke too slowly, Wade would lose patience and test the sharpness of his wand on its neck.

But Tom and André both caught every word, and in their eyes shone a burning, almost uncontrollable desire.

Power that could make them stronger?

No Slytherin could possibly resist such temptation!

"Where is this power?" Wade pressed.

"We... we're still looking for it, but we believe we'll find it very soon!" the goblin hastily replied.

Wade narrowed his eyes. "You haven't found it yet? Then how can you be sure this power really exists?"

"It definitely exists! Decades ago, among our goblins, there was a powerful leader named Ranrok! He became strong precisely because he absorbed this power!" The goblin's tone was full of envy, as if he desperately wished to have been Ranrok himself.

Wade knew perfectly well that this Ranrok was the very same goblin who had once been defeated by his senior.

And this so-called "magical power" the goblins spoke of was most likely the same "residue" that Morganach had once created by extracting negative emotions through ancient magic.

However, according to what he'd learned from his senior, after Ranrok was defeated, all the magic he had absorbed had already been taken by her.

And now, with his senior trapped and himself not having produced any of this "residue," it meant this "magical power" they were after no longer existed!

"Where did you get this information?" Wade pressed.

"We found some notes left behind by Ranrok. According to them, in the Forbidden Forest, even within Hogwarts itself, there are still traces of this power! If we can find them and absorb them, we goblins will grow stronger, and then…" the goblin blurted.

"And then you'll rise up in rebellion again, seize more power from the wizards, perhaps even enslave them, isn't that right?" Wade's voice turned cold.

The goblin shuddered at his words, his gaze filled with terror as he looked at Wade.

The terrifying young wizard in front of him was still a wizard, after all! Having just confessed all this in front of him… could he still hope to survive?

But if he didn't answer, death was certain!

Wade pondered for a moment, then asked, "What are you using to search for this so-called magical power? And what makes you so sure that this power still exists, that it hasn't already dissipated with Ranrok's death?"

"That…" The goblin fumbled in his robes and pulled out a silver pocket-watch-like device. "Before he died, Ranrok was constantly pursuing this power, but after obtaining a portion of it, he found no further leads."

"So, he instructed a goblin craftsman to study this power in hopes of creating a device that could detect its presence."

"However, not long after, Ranrok found specific clues and went off in pursuit… and never returned."

"But even after Ranrok left, that goblin craftsman continued his research. Eventually, he managed to create this incomplete device."

"However, due to the unrest Ranrok had stirred up, and his eventual defeat, the Ministry of Magic cracked down harshly on us again… The goblin craftsman had to halt his work and hide the schematics for this incomplete device, along with some of Ranrok's notes."

"It wasn't until recently, after that craftsman passed away, that these things came to light once more…"

Wade took the pocket-watch-shaped device and opened it for a look.

At first glance, the instrument looked no different from an ordinary pocket watch, but there was only a single pointer on the dial.

Moreover, once it was opened, the dial began to emit a faint white glow.

But not long after, the white glow shifted, and a hint of pink shimmered within it.

"Hmm.. how do you read this thing?"
