"Heh~ My poor poor boy~ We can tell you very clearly, we came to the Forbidden Forest for detention by our own request," Wade said. "Originally, Professor Slughorn had already cancelled our detention. After all, this whole thing was stirred up by you lot first, wasn't it?"

"Requested it voluntarily?" Andre was stunned again.

Why would anyone ask to serve detention in a place like the Forbidden Forest?!

Most people would skip it if they could—what kind of madness was this?

But then, watching the two of them so efficiently harvesting materials from the unicorn, Andre suddenly felt like he understood a little.

"You really did come here to stock up on supplies..."

Wade carefully stored away the extracted unicorn blood.

He didn't draw too much, since unicorn blood was notoriously hard to preserve, and it was only most effective when it was fresh.

"Oh? By the way, Andre, are you thinking of reporting this to the professors once we get back?" Wade suddenly asked with a smile.

"I... I certainly..." Andre, caught off guard by the question, started to fluster.

"Feel free to report us, I won't stop you. In fact, since we let you follow us here, we obviously aren't afraid of you reporting it. However..."

Wade's smile deepened, "if you choose to do that, it'll mean you're deciding to stand against me."

Hearing those words, it felt as though a bucket of ice water had been dumped over Andre's head.

Wade's strange and terrifying abilities still haunted him; he absolutely did not want to become Wade's enemy!

Just imagine, you're sleeping soundly in your dormitory, and then in the blink of an eye, you find yourself standing at the scene of a crime, the murder weapon in your own hand...

With Wade's capabilities, if he truly became your enemy, you wouldn't even know how you were doomed!

"I won't go against you, I swear…" Andre quickly declared.

Any thoughts of reporting them vanished completely in an instant.

Only those who had personally experienced that fear would truly understand how terrifying Wade's power was...

At the same time, it wasn't just Andre who felt uneasy; Tom, too, found his heart unsettled.

Wade's abilities were too uncanny. If Tom couldn't figure out the principle behind them, he had no idea how he would ever surpass Wade in the future!

"Remember what I asked you before, Andre. I believe you'll make the right choice, won't you?" Wade said with a sly devil's smile.

Andre fell silent. Though he feared Wade and didn't dare to make him an enemy, the thought of following Wade still made him hesitate.

After all, most of Slytherin was currently isolating Wade and his group.

Andre was well aware that those people were surely already scheming against Wade and his companions.

So, he really didn't want to end up being targeted as well.

He wasn't like Henry and Alphard.

The Avery and Black families were still at their peak, and even if they were ostracized, their families wouldn't suffer any serious consequences.

But the Shafiq family…

Though still counted among the Sacred Twenty-Eight, the Shafiq family had already fallen into decline.

Andre truly couldn't afford to offend the other pure-blood families.

In other words, he now found himself in a position where he couldn't afford to antagonize either side...

Thankfully, it seemed Wade wasn't intent on forcing him into a decision.

For now, Andre just wanted to stay out of it entirely, not getting involved with either faction!

Tom had been watching coldly from the sidelines, silently observing Wade pressuring Andre.

This guy still wouldn't admit it! With this style of handling things... and he dared say I resemble Grindelwald? He's the real Grindelwald the Second!

While Andre was still deep in thought, Wade walked over to the unicorn.

He gently touched the unicorn's horn. "I've given you a beautiful dream, in exchange for some of your materials. I'd say that's a fair deal."

After speaking, Wade patted the unicorn's head, then left with Tom and the others, carrying their haul of materials.

No one knew how long it took before the unicorn finally woke from its dream.

???

It looked around but didn't notice anything out of place.

Still… why did it feel so chilly behind?

My bottom bush!

"Can we go back now? Or are you planning to collect even more?" Andre asked cautiously.

"We'll go with the flow. Today's harvest has been pretty good already," Wade replied with satisfaction.

He hadn't expected to run into a unicorn today; it turned out to be a nice fat haul.

Considering that the locations of other magical creatures and plants were a bit farther off this path, Wade decided to leave those for another time.

Since his detention wasn't just for one night anyway.

Just as Wade was about to announce they should continue with the task assigned by Mr. Ogg, he suddenly felt a slight tremor from the ancient magic power within his body.

Oh?

His heart stirred, and he carefully examined the surroundings.

Due to the dense darkness of the Forbidden Forest, Wade wasn't entirely sure of his current location. However, after mentally retracing their path—from the main trail to the venomous tentacula, and then to the unicorn—he managed to roughly figure out where they were.

Around here, there did seem to be a hotspot of ancient magic.

He hadn't expected that right after leaving the unicorn, they would inadvertently wander close to it.

Since he wasn't alone tonight, Wade didn't plan to absorb it just yet.

The matter of ancient magic still needed to be kept secret.

Without saying anything, Wade simply continued walking with Andre and the others in the direction of the main path.

"Hiss hiss hiss!"

"Woof! woof! woof!"

Suddenly, Nagini let out an alarmed hiss, and the hunting dog Bork began barking wildly!

"What's going on?" Andre couldn't understand Nagini's warning, but Bork's unusual behavior immediately put him on high alert.

Bang!

Out of the pitch-black forest, a massive figure suddenly charged forward, crashing straight through a tree!

The three of them hurriedly dodged to the side.

By the light of the oil lamp, they quickly got a clear look at the creature.

It was a troll!

What surprised the three even more was that the troll was wearing a thick suit of armor!

Trolls didn't wear armor on their own…

Sure enough, just as they were studying the troll, a sharp, shrill voice came from behind it.

"You idiot! Where do you think you're going?! Keep it down!"

The troll had been about to let out a roar, but at those words, it immediately shut its mouth.

Right after, Wade and the others saw three goblins step out from behind the troll…

Wade's pupils contracted when he saw the goblins, and he quickly turned his gaze to the armored troll.

Sure enough, around the troll's neck, there was a peculiar silver collar!

"Why are there three people here? No wonder that idiot started running off!"

"Just kill them."

"No, they look like Hogwarts students. If the school finds out students are missing, they'll definitely search the Forbidden Forest!"

"Hah, and you want to just let them go back and report that they saw us?"

"Well…"

"Kill them. As long as we leave some troll tracks and their corpses behind, Hogwarts won't suspect a thing."

"Yes, students foolishly entering the Forbidden Forest and getting killed by the creatures inside is nothing unusual."

As they spoke, the three goblins had already sentenced Wade and the others to death.

André's face went pale with fright. If it were just the three goblins, he wouldn't have been too worried.

But a troll… a troll wearing goblin-forged armor!

There was no way he could handle that! Even if Ogg himself came, he might not be able to win!

André quickly looked toward Wade. At this point, he could only count on Wade's strange magic.

"You idiot! Go! Smash these three to death!" one of the goblins barked orders at the troll.

The heavily-armored troll, upon hearing the command, raised its massive club and charged!

Tom calmly stepped behind Wade.

An opponent like this, with his current abilities, he had no way of handling. He could only rely on Wade…

Seeing Tom's action, André instinctively also retreated behind Wade.

Wade didn't mind the two of them shrinking back. If it had been an ordinary troll, they might still have been able to help.

But facing a heavily-armored troll, decked out in goblin-forged armor with resistance to magic stacked high—

They really weren't its match.

Boom, boom, boom!
