Nikolas sat do on the swing, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he his breath labored,his lungs struggling to keep up with his breathing. He had been at the park all morning, and though exhaustion pulled at his limbs, he was beginning to feel a lot more like himself again.
Although his thoughts still drifted to Selene, those full, irresistible lips, but now at least he could think straight. He had just finished his third lap of jogging around the park, the burn in his muscles a painful satisfying feeling,he had never felt more alive.
As he took in the environment around him the scene filled with parents laughing and playing with their children, the sun casting a warm natural glow over the playground,his heart swelled with an unexpected feeling of contentment.
This was why he had built this place.
A wide smile spread across his face as he nodded his head,in self approval. Dad would be so proud.
