Nevaeh barely had time to breathe before her phone exploded with notifications.
The scene—her scene with Mordred—was everywhere.
Clips of their intimate moment flooded social media, with headlines like:
"Mordred Martin's On-Screen Chemistry Feels Too Real—What's Going On?"
"Mordred and Nevaeh—Enemies or Secret Lovers?"
"That wasn't acting—Fans React to Mordred's Steamy Scene with Journalist Nevaeh."
And of course—
Her friends saw everything.
It was only a matter of time before they showed up at her apartment, banging on her door like the FBI.
"NEVAEH! OPEN UP!"
With a groan, she unlocked the door, and before she could react, Teresa, Lily, and Donna stormed in, each one of them talking over the other.
"Girl, WHAT was that?" Teresa shrieked, shaking her by the shoulders.
"You and Mordred looked like you were about to eat each other alive!" Lily added, eyes wide.
"I thought you two hated each other," Donna smirked, flopping onto Nevaeh's couch. "But that kiss? The way he touched you? Oh, honey, that was NOT hate."
Nevaeh rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "You guys are being dramatic."
"US?" Teresa threw her hands in the air. "Nevaeh, the whole damn internet is freaking out! People are saying Mordred has NEVER let a woman get that close to him before—EVER. And here you are, not only kissing him, but making him enjoy it."
Lily leaned in. "So… are you two a thing?"
Nevaeh hesitated.
Were they?
No. Of course not.
But the way Mordred looked at her during that scene… the way he let her touch him…
It didn't feel like acting.
And she wasn't sure she wanted it to be.
"Guys, calm down," Nevaeh said, trying to sound indifferent, but the smirk on her lips betrayed her.
Her three friends stared at her like she'd just spoken in another language.
"Calm down?" Teresa echoed, hands on her hips. "You're telling us to calm down after we just witnessed that?"
"Nevaeh, that scene looked too real," Lily pressed, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Are you seriously telling us you felt nothing?"
Nevaeh exhaled dramatically, flopping onto the couch. "Look, I did my job. I followed the script."
A pause. Then, with a teasing glint in her eyes, she added, "But… I kinda enjoyed myself, though. He's really daring and romantic in some way."
The screams that followed could have shattered glass.
"I KNEW IT!" Donna shrieked, pointing an accusatory finger at Nevaeh. "You were dying in his arms, don't even lie!"
"Oh my God, you totally wished you two were alone," Donna accused, gasping dramatically.
Lily threw a pillow at Nevaeh. "Admit it! You wanted more!"
Nevaeh laughed, dodging the pillow. "Okay, okay—maybe I was curious about how far we could push it."
"OH—SHE'S FALLING FOR HIM!" Teresa declared, clutching her chest like she was about to faint.
Nevaeh rolled her eyes but didn't deny it.
And that was enough to drive them even more insane.
