Chapter 4 - Lines

*High Priestess

*High Doyens

*Doyens

*Priestesses

This was the structure on which the Temple of Dorom existed and functioned. From highest to low. Nonetheless, there existed a different faction, called the "Elders Seat".

In The Temple of Dorom, the High Doyens occupy a seat of authority, an authority only beneath that of the High Priestess. But with a power of its own.

"Kismet makes power, Kismet creates access."

This is the belief of Dorom.

And it stood with evidence.

In this world Mystic lines existed, and Dorom had its own.

Mystic lines as they were called, were spiritual abilities, and only spiritually awakened ones could see and access them.

And in Dorom, only the High Priestess and High Doyens fully awaken their spiritual lines. It was a realm above being completed. Even Doyens are complete, but only High Doyens are awakened.

Dorom had 5 High Doyens, each with their own spiritual abilities, their own lines, according to their Kismets, their Fates.

"Understand your Kismet(Fate), accept it, and upon confirming the fragments of the Unreached Realms, would you be able to see and access your line."

What draws the massive line between a High Doyen and the rest below are their abilities to understand and accept their fate, known as Kismet and confirm the fragments of the Unreached Realms.

9 months ago after the demise of the High Priestess, her High Doyens, had to stand in line, awaiting the awakening of the new High Priestess.

4 months ago after the awakening of the new High Priestess, Morriba. The 3 of them had to leave for the Elder Seats, cause with her awakening came the awakening of new Senior Doyens.

And now the Elder Seats had gained 3 new members, they were already short on 2 members, and were barely holding out, it seemed their time really had come to an end, it was time to leave the work to the next generation, besides, they believed in their Doyens, having been their predecessors.

After leaving those tunnels, 4 months ago, Morriba awakened her Mystic lines, gaining spiritual abilities. Hers was different from her mother's, she had gained the lines of "Hear and Show"; an ability that granted her ears to hear from the Unreached Realms and the ability to be a housing vessel that showed presence.

With her awakening came the awakening of her High Doyens, those to serve along side her.

Nicoah, after her blindness, had thought she would never be able to awaken. But hers came after Morriba's, as she sat under the huge tree in front of her chambers, meditating. Being the First amongst the new High Doyens, to awaken.

Her ability:"Insight"; granting her the ability to understand deep wills, interpret omens and dreams, and most of all, the ability to perceive her surroundings, and also see what others could not, granting her calmness, the one thing she seemed to had lacked. She gave a new look to the ability, Insight, as she surpassed her predecessor.

The next, Pemah. Her ability: "Medicine"; it granted her the ability to heal, adding to her perfectionist personality.

After her, Adah, with the ability: "Shield"; being able to use beads as mediums to form shields that could be projected over a large area. An ability similar to that of the former High Priestess. She had an aloof personality.

Next, Hana, ability: "Ears of Wind", an ability to hear the wind, to hear its whispers and even have it bring whispers. It best complimented her reserved personality, as she was known for her quietness.

And Rebi, ability: "Earth" she was the most lively and friendly of the lot, one with a bubbling personality and her lines granted her the abilities to understand the earth, for it speaks to her.

Every of their abilities were according to their Kismet, their fate.

They had left being Doyens to become High Doyens, carrying on the mantles of their preceding High Doyens, according to their Kismet.

With being a High Doyen, responsibilities came with the package.

*Interpretation of Divine Willls

*Performing Sacraments

*Caring for Sacred Spaces

*Providing Counseling and Guidance

*Education, to Teach.

This were their duties, respectively, from Nicoah To Rebi. Each having their lines to better handle them.

And today they were all looking at Morriba as she adored the little life she had just brought into this world.

Rebi was the first to rush close to the infant" she is adorable" she said as she tried to carry her

"Leave the child with her mother Rebi" Nicoah urged as she pulled closer to the side of the young mother to support her, even though she seemed full of energy .

"She seems to be adapting well" Hana said in her cool, smoothing voice.

Concerned, Rebi held her hand over her mouth, her eyes wide and cute " Are you saying by touching her, she would adapt to be like me?"

A deep sigh escaped the lips of Adah, as she shook her head" You're being overly dramatic, as usual. More importantly, Morriba" she said as she moved closer to the High Priestess, her face, a detached expression "why does the temple tremble again?"

Pemah nodded her head in agreement, as she also bore this doubt in mind" Mhm"

"The earth seems fine" Rebi said in her usual carefree style "nothing out of the ordinary"

Every one shot her a look that said "if this was considered ordinary, then maybe you're the problem".

Even Nicoah couldn't help but think that Rebi needed to spend more time with normal people. Even with Insight, she could barely understand this. Only that maybe it depicted a golden era.

Morriba gave a warm laughter, drawing everyone gazes upon her,"Do you all believe in fantasy?"

With raised brows, Adah asked "Is that what she is?" her eyes on the infant

Morriba: "She's my child"

Pemah puffed her cheeks whilst nodding sarcastically"that explains everything"

Blinking her eyes in confusion, Redi shook her head "No it doesn't"

Pemah:"Mhmm... exactly"

Morriba, her eyes still carrying it's warmth and care, looked to her child and smiled.
