Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A Desperate Plea Thu

"Please, let us in! I have a child with me—I can't run anymore!" A middle-aged man pounded on the door, his voice filled with desperation. But there was no response.

Gritting his teeth, the man pleaded again, his voice trembling, "Please, I'm begging you. I don't care what happens to me, but at least take in my daughter..."

He waited, but the silence remained. No one answered.

Finally, unable to bear it any longer, he raised the wrench in his hand and shouted, "Open the door! If you don't, I'll break it down!"

"Daddy..." A little girl tugged at his sleeve, her voice filled with fear.

The man roared again, "I'm serious! I'll break it down!"

"W-Wait...! I'll open it now!" A nervous voice called out from inside.

The porch light flickered on, and slowly, the door creaked open.

The middle-aged man breathed a sigh of relief, gratitude washing over his face. "Thank you... You have no idea how much this means—"

Before he could finish his sentence, a cold, sharp object stabbed into his chest.

"I'm sorry..." The one holding the weapon was another middle-aged man, his hands trembling. Behind him, his wife clung to his arm, her face pale with fear. Their family huddled together behind them, all watching with terrified eyes.

The weapon was pulled out, and blood gushed from the wound. The door closed.

The little girl's father staggered back, his upper body drenched in crimson. He stumbled, collapsing at the gate of the courtyard. As he fell, his weight pushed the iron gate open with a loud creak.

"Daddy... Daddy!" The little girl ran to him, kneeling beside him. Tears streamed down her face as she grabbed his hand.

Her father struggled to lift his hand, gently touching her head before his strength gave out.

"Find a place to hide... Don't let anyone find you... Just hide..."

With those final words, his head slumped to the side.

The little girl trembled, tears falling uncontrollably. "Daddy... Daddy, no... I don't want this!" She collapsed onto his chest, sobbing uncontrollably. "I want to stay with you... I want to be with you forever...!"

Her cries echoed in the night.

The sound attracted the undead.

Zombies, their rotting bodies swaying, shuffled toward the courtyard.

Within moments, several of them reached the entrance. One lunged at the girl—

"Ahh!" She screamed, scooting backward just in time for the zombie to miss.

More zombies followed, their lifeless eyes locked onto her.

The little girl scrambled to her feet and ran, her small figure retreating toward the corner of the courtyard.

A small white dog suddenly dashed into the scene, barking fiercely.

The little girl, now pressed against a wall with nowhere left to run, watched in horror.

The dog bravely leapt at the nearest zombie, sinking its teeth into its wrist.

The zombie glanced down and, without hesitation, bit into the dog's tiny body.

With a sickening tear, the dog was ripped in half.

Blood splattered onto the little girl's face.

The zombie, its hunger unsatisfied, turned its gaze back to the girl.

A Sudden Intervention

"It sounds like a little girl crying..."

Goku lifted his head from Saeko's chest, his brow furrowing as he looked out the window. Suddenly, as if remembering something, his expression changed. He jumped up and rushed to the window.

"What's wrong, Goku?" Saeko, her face still flushed from their intimate moment, adjusted her disheveled clothes and looked at him in confusion.

Goku peered outside, and his eyes widened at the sight below.

The little white dog had just been torn apart, and behind it, a small, terrified girl was cornered, crying.

"Shit! I totally forgot about Alice!"

Without hesitation, Goku raised a finger. A beam of light shot out, piercing through the zombie lunging at Alice, its head exploding on impact.

Goku vanished from the window and reappeared in front of Alice in an instant. With a few swift kicks, he sent the surrounding zombies flying. Then, he scooped up the trembling girl in his arms.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked gently.

Alice, blushing from suddenly being held by a stranger, shook her head shyly. Her gaze drifted to the gate where her father lay motionless.

"Daddy..."

Goku's expression darkened as he looked at the closed door.

"They killed your father, didn't they?"

Alice hesitated, then nodded.

Goku carried her to her father's body. Using a ki blast, he dug a hole in the yard and carefully placed the man inside. Alice gathered a few wildflowers and laid them on the grave.

With Alice in his arms, Goku soared into the sky. He turned his gaze downward, pointing at the house where her father had been refused entry.

A concentrated beam of energy shot from his finger, blasting the house's front door wide open.

The explosion echoed through the night.

Zombies, drawn by the noise, swarmed toward the building.

It didn't take long before terrified screams rang out from inside.

"Alright, your father has been avenged. From now on, you'll stay with me. I'll protect you." Goku gently ruffled Alice's hair.

"Big brother… are you a superhero? You can fly! And you shoot beams from your hands!"

Alice's grief was momentarily forgotten, replaced by awe and excitement. After all, superheroes in cartoons were always the good guys, right?

"You could say that," Goku chuckled. "So don't worry. I'll keep you safe."

"Mm!" Alice nodded enthusiastically.

Goku returned to the apartment, landing on the balcony. Saeko was already there, having witnessed everything.

"Alice, this is Saeko. She's my girlfriend."

"Saeko… Onee-chan..." Alice shyly hid behind Goku, her previous trauma still weighing heavily on her.

Goku patted her head. "Don't be scared. She's a good person too."

After some comforting words, he let Saeko take Alice to rest. Before long, the little girl had fallen asleep.

Standing on the balcony, Goku gazed at the zombie-infested streets below and sighed.

"I need to finish this 'mission' soon. Sleeping peacefully in this world is impossible… What a pain."

Bored, he opened his Dimensional Travel System and checked the status.

His energy points had reached 10,678.

A new message appeared:

[Congratulations! You have successfully gained the affection of a 2D heroine. Partner Travel System has been activated! You can now spend 10,000 energy points to bring a girl from another dimension back to your home world: Dragon Ball]

Goku's face darkened.

"What?! I have to spend points just to bring someone back? That's a rip-off!"

After a moment, he sighed.

"Ugh, fine. 10,000 it is. I'll just wipe out a city full of zombies or something. That should give me plenty of points… Heh."

The Next Morning

As dawn broke, the girls woke up one by one.

Seeing Shizuka and Saeko walking strangely, the others exchanged knowing glances but said nothing.

After a quick breakfast, they gathered their supplies and headed to the parking garage.

Shizuka stood beside a Hummer, smiling. "What do you think? Cool, right?"

Glancing at the vehicle, Hayashi raised an eyebrow. "Your friend must be loaded. Not only do they have guns, but even their car is a rare, amphibious limited-edition Hummer."

Alice, excited, hopped into the passenger seat. "Wow! This is so comfy!"

With everyone squeezing inside, space became tight.

"Come here, Alice. I'll hold you." Hayashi pulled her onto her lap, making just enough room.

"Perfect!" Goku climbed in and pulled Saeko onto his lap. "Alright, Shizuka, let's go!"

Saeko blushed slightly but didn't resist.

Sitting beside them, Saya pouted. "You two sure are close."

Saeko smirked. "Want to switch places?"

"Wh-Why would I?! Baka!" Saya turned red, looking away.

As the Hummer sped down the road, Alice suddenly shouted, "Goku-nii! Look, there are people over there!"

Everyone immediately turned to look in the direction Alice was pointing. In the distance, five individuals wearing thick clothing and hoods were cornered by a horde of zombies, struggling desperately to fend off the relentless attack.

---

"Don't give up! Hold on no matter what!"

The leader of the group bashed a zombie with the butt of their gun while shouting encouragement. The voice was clear and commanding—it was a woman.

"I can't… My weapon's out of ammo… I can't hold on any longer..."

"Ahh… Help… Help me!"

"Damn it… It's too late…"

"Ahhh—!"

One by one, they fell, until only the woman remained, desperately fighting off the encroaching undead. The zombies pressed in closer and closer.

"Damn it… Is this the end? …Saya…"

---

"Goku, go save her!"

Saya cried out in urgency, feeling an inexplicable sense of familiarity in that woman's voice—it sounded just like her mother's.

"Got it! You guys wait here!"

Goku nodded, grabbed a long spear, and swung the car door open before charging straight into the fray. Wielding the spear like a staff, he swept it through the air with overwhelming force, sending the zombies flying in every direction.

---

"A-Amazing!"

The woman gasped in awe as she watched Goku tear through the undead with raw power.

"Wow! Goku-nii is so incredible!"

Inside the vehicle, Alice's eyes sparkled with admiration.

Saeko, watching from the car, felt a surge of excitement. In the past, she had always held back because of Goku's presence, rarely allowing herself to fully indulge in battle. But now, with his approval, the restraints she had placed on herself for years were finally lifted.

---

"I'm going to help Goku! Rei, keep them safe!"

Saeko threw open the car door and dashed forward. Her wooden sword pierced through a zombie's skull in a single thrust. With another powerful swing, she smashed another undead's head into pieces.

Carving a path through the horde, she moved with precision—each strike was a perfect execution. Every swing of her blade was a clean decapitation.

If Goku's combat style was defined by sheer dominance and raw power, then Saeko's was a mesmerizing dance of bloodstained elegance—graceful, yet deadly.

"This feeling… This is it… This is what I've been longing for…"

Her attacks became sharper, her movements swifter. The more she fought, the more exhilarated she became. As her face flushed red with excitement, an involuntary moan escaped her lips.
