Chapter 18 - WHERE IS THE TARGET

Shade with his men traveled to jepolind in a day reached the town at morning and he ordered his men to collect information about the person they are searching for after waiting 1 hour his men came and gave him the information they collected as their target has entered the town to sell some herbs and bought nectrimanes with two children in a herbalist shop and got out from the town alone going to the forest ,shade was confused ' why does he need nectrimanes which isn't rare but not so common and why does he travel through forest if he didn't know anything about this world ' but shade put his doubts aside and commended his men to give proper burial to his fallen men who were killed by their target after completing the burial he ordered his men catch their target alive which is a order his men even though they are angry cause the death of their fellow men, they gave importance to the orders and the hunting dog members moved to the forest and dismounted from their horses to move faster and conveniently in the forest everyone including shade entered the forest with caution after walking nearly 50 minutes one of their member found traces of camping near a big tree and he can tell the fire has gone out just before a couple of hours and with shades command the hunting dog members started to spread as team of 5 in the forest to find their target totally 27 teams are pursuing ,when a team was searching near a some bushes one guy got hit on the neck holding his neck with gushing blood fell to the ground and he saw at his fellow men they were also falling like him then he closed his eyes , nearly 100 yards/91 meters away a figure emerged from the bushes it was nolan wearing camouflage dress he made, holding Springfield equipped with suppressor and A5 riflescope in his hand after he reloaded ammunition,he started to move another location and killed 5 guy's, like this nolan killed another 2 teams totally killing 20 men and moved to next phase of his plan Nolan got near the dead men who died face down digged a small hole and placed 3 tins below the dead men and blew the hunting dog vessel ,placing it on dead body hand,he immediately ran near a tree hiding in the bushes used detection just in couple of minutes nearly 21 hunting dogs came to the spot ,when they saw their fellow men dead they looked their surroundings with vigilance and person who saw the vessel holding hand tried to pushed the body and the tin Nolan placed exploded the ball bearings hit many wounding some and killing 3 men everyone are in a confused stage without second delay Nolan started to fire with his shotgun killing 6 men who aren't effected by the explosion when the shotgun is empty he switched to 1911 took from his holster killing 7 men changed magazine firing another 5 rounds to kill those who are alive and ran to another location to repeat this trap again which worked killing 17 men ,the tins which are exploded are called jam tin grenade used by the British in world War and nolan learned this from his buddy nile to make it with less resources and Nolan still have 4 jam tins which are fuse ones the jam tins which placed below the body is friction fuse,shade noticing his men being hunted order every one to regroup and use the anti magic shield moveing in a defensive formation which he thought the magicians magic can be blocked but what Nolan was using isn't magic it's evolution, when shade and men are moving through a slope terrain he instinctively saw above and saw few objects are falling at his group before he could do anything multiple explosion has happened killing nearly 23 and wounding 33 of his men which confused him and his men as the anti magic shield can stop upto 5th circle magic but how did the explosion happened then shade heard small explosion like sound and his men's scream when he looked at the direction of the sound coming from he saw a person holding a wooden object in his hands at a distance and taking another wooden object pointing at his men.nolan threw the fused jam tin at hunting dog group as they are holding some shields in front and moving in defensive formation when the tins exploded Nolan took Lee Enfield using detection he fired 8 rounds and reloaded fired again and took shot gun firing 6 shot those who are standing and at the wounded men he fired with precision by not missing a single target he reloaded fired he done like this until only 7 men are alive who are scarred by their fellow members death and one of them is shade who is in disbelief as all his men who he considered as brothers are dead in front of him,then he saw Nolan the orders he got from the third princess isn't important to him now the only thought running in his mind is to kill Nolan in the most painful way with the remaining men who are scared and angry shade ordered to charge at nolan . Seeing his enemies charging at his direction Nolan took nagant fired 6 men when he was trying to pull another gun shade threw his short spears which grazed Nolan shoulder and nolan rolled to the side and saw another spear landing in the spot were he stood and nolan saw shade drawing his dual blades and started to attack Nolan who was escaping from the blades with just few mili meters gap but their are few scratches done by the blade and nolan got kicked at his right side rolling few feet away,Nolan got up started to cough some blood he saw shade and took the machetes from inventory holding in both his hands ,shade with every last aura he have covered he blades with aura to kill his enemy, he ran at Nolan and saw Nolan throwing his machete at shade which he deflected and another machete also threw at him and he deflected and thought his enemy have gave up but Nolan pulled 1911 when shade was deflecting the machetes he threw and fired full magazine 7 rounds at shade hitting his chest and hands and fell to the ground ,Nolan reloading 1911 got near shade with caution and pain ,shade facing the sky as he knew it's his final moments looked at Nolan who came near him and asked a question " who are you ", hearing his enemy question Nolan put a serious face and gave a answer" I am batman ",shade died with a confused face and Nolan isn't interested to tell his name to the person he killed and he moved in to the forest holding 1911 even though he was injured he prioritized safety first.
