Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8- The Man Who Knew Too Much

A deep breath.

A deadly silence.

Asahi lunged.

His fist cut through the air like a bullet—fast, precise, unrelenting.

But—

The Black Man tilted his head slightly.

Effortlessly dodging.

The Black Man (thinking): "He knew I was coming?"

His expression didn't change, but his eyes—they analyzed.

This Asahi.

Something was different.

Asahi: (Coldly.)"I knew."

The words sent a chill through the air.

The Black Man's fingers twitched slightly.

The Black Man: "Huh?"

A Man Who Knows Too Much

Asahi didn't stop.

He stepped forward, voice steady, gaze locked.

Asahi: "I knew everything."

A weight hung in his words.

He wasn't guessing.

He was sure.

Asahi: "Your power—Repulsion."

A slight smirk.

A moment of control.

Asahi: "Your suit—it's not armor."

His breath was steady.

His expression, unreadable.

Then—

Asahi: "It's a jelly-like substance."

A cold breeze passed between them.

The Black Man's lips curved slightly.

But Asahi—

He didn't stop.

Asahi: "It absorbs damage, reducing impact."

A fact.

Not a theory.

The Black Man exhaled slowly.

He looked almost… amused.

The Black Man (thinking): "This one… is different."

His fingers relaxed.

Then—

The Black Man (thinking): "That makes it more interesting."

A smirk.

A step forward.

Asahi threw another punch—

The Black Man caught it mid-air.

His grip was firm, like iron wrapped in silk.

Then—

A whisper.

The Black Man: "REPEL."

A shockwave.

A 40cm gap instantly created.

Asahi stumbled slightly.

But his body—it wasn't weak.

Just human.

Just flesh and bone.

He clenched his fists.

His breath—heavy.

His pulse—wild.

But still, he stood.

The Black Man's Attack – A Power Beyond Understanding

The Black Man moved.

Fast.

Too fast.

Like the wind itself bent to his will.

A fist—coming straight for Asahi.

It was impossible to dodge.

It was unstoppable.

Then—

It stopped.

Right in front of his face.

The air shuddered.

A forcefield—pushing outward.

Repulsion.

Asahi felt it.

The power.

The overwhelming difference between them.

His heartbeat slowed.

But still—

He smiled.

Asahi: "I know that you can't kill me."

The Black Man froze.

His fist still hovering in the air.

The Black Man: "Huh?"

He pulled back his arm.

A small, amused chuckle.

Then—

A single name.

The Black Man: "Anari."

Asahi's stomach dropped.

His body tensed.

His vision narrowed.

Asahi: "What?"

The Black Man vanished.

Not teleported.

Not phased out.

He moved so fast, Asahi's eyes couldn't register it.

Like the very laws of space ignored his presence.

Asahi turned—

And froze.

The Black Man stood before him.

His arms wrapped around something.

Someone.

Anari.

She was smiling.

Her eyes locked onto Asahi's.

A soft, warm smile.

The Black Man: (Mocking.)"Who told you she could watch this fight for free, huh?"

Anari wasn't struggling.

She wasn't scared.

She just… smiled.

And then—

Her lips moved.

Anari: "I lo—"

SNAP.

Her head tilted unnaturally.

Lifeless.

Weightless.

Falling.

Asahi's breath left his body.

His ears rang.

His knees shook.

His chest ached.

Asahi: "Huh…?"

The Black Man grinned.

A victorious smirk.

Then—

A whisper.

The Black Man: "This is your destiny."

His voice was low.

Heavy.

A reality carved into stone.

Then—

The Black Man: "A destiny made by me."

Asahi's expression didn't change.

No tears.

No rage.

Just…

A small smile.

A bitter one.

A cruel one.

Then—

He reached into his pocket.

Pulled out a bottle.

Swallowed.

Five pills.

The Black Man's expression shifted.

For the first time—

He looked uncertain.

The Black Man: "What was that?"

A deep breath.

A slow, dangerous grin.

Then—

Asahi: "You know what?"

A chuckle.

Soft.

Deadly.

Then—

Asahi: "Thank you."

The Black Man stiffened.

A flicker of doubt.

A slight hesitation.

A pause that lasted too long.

Then—

Asahi: "I will show you…"

His lips curled.

His body collapsed.

His vision faded.

And before the darkness took him—

A whisper.

Asahi: "The power of a TIME LEAPER."

The Black Man's eyes widened.

His hands twitched.

His mouth opened slightly, realization dawning.

The Black Man: "Huh… Time loops?"

But it was too late.

Asahi was already gone.

The loop had begun again.

TIME RESET.
