Chapter 137 - Arceus? More Like "Discount Eevee"

"Eevee, the Normal-type Evolution Pokémon."

Without visual references, Su Feng skipped describing its appearance and cut to the chase:

"As its category suggests, Eevee is unique for its multiple evolutionary paths. Its unstable genetic structure reacts dramatically to environmental stimuli, allowing it to evolve into various elemental forms."

"Most Pokémon cap at three or four evolutionary variants. Eevee? I know of eight—possibly more undiscovered ones. Fire Stones like these," he gestured to his haul, "plus Water, Thunder, Leaf, and Ice Stones can trigger corresponding evolutions. There are also non-stone methods we'll skip for now."

"Wild Eevee are exceptionally rare. Once evolved, the change is permanent—so choose your partner's path wisely." He smirked. "Oh, and Eevee gradually mirror their trainers' mannerisms. Talk about impressionable."

Honestly, Eevee's got it all—except Mega Evolution. Z-Moves? Gigantamax? Check and check.

[Eight forms?! Overachiever!]

[But is it CUTE?]

[Environment-based evolution? Like a Pokémon chameleon?]

[Uh, Su Feng? My buddy keeps going 'Eevee!' like that Flareon. It's freaking out watching this. Is it an Eevee?]

Su Feng's eyes locked onto the comment. Clicking the profile—"KFC4Life"—revealed a preteen boy posing with a brown, fox-like creature.

"User 'KFC4Life,' your partner is an Eevee. Mind showing the audience?" He followed and DM'd the kid for quick access.

X City

The boy's hands trembled. Su Feng actually noticed me! But going live before 100M+ viewers? His stomach lurched.

Yet this might be his only chance. Gritting his teeth, he slapped the [LIVE LINK] button—then panicked and shoved on an Ultraman Tiga mask.

"Uh… h-hi, Su Feng."

The stream split to show a masked boy, voice cracking. Su Feng discreetly activated privacy filters before coaxing, "Relax. Introduce your partner."

"O-okay! Bubby, come here!"

Thump-thump-thump—

A fluffy head popped into frame, tilting curiously. "Eevee?"

[HOLY CUTE]

[That head tilt! I'm deceased.]

[My cold dead heart just rebooted.]

[THIS EXISTS!?]

[I take back the chameleon slander.]

"Su Feng, is 'Eevee' its name?" the boy asked.

"Technically, that's its species name. But 'Bubby' suits it better," Su Feng chuckled.

The boy rubbed his neck. "I just called it that 'cause it goes 'Eevee' all the time…"

"Everyone, meet Eevee." Su Feng zoomed in. "Males have jagged tail patterns; females, heart-shaped ones. Yours is a lovely lady."

"Eevee~"

"WAIT, YOU'RE A GIRL!?" The boy gaped.

Eevee: "…"

One month together, and he never noticed? Incensed, she belly-flopped onto him.

"Bubby, you're crushing me—"

"Vee!" (Translation: Suffer.)

Su Feng grinned. "Seems you two get along." He ended the call, leaving them to "bond."

"Eevee excel in beauty, strength, and temperament—perfect starter Pokémon." Privately, he noted to send the boy Eevee-form Pokéblocks post-stream.

Back in Pokémon Town

Flareon returned, dragging its pouch. "Fwoof! (Here's the stash!)"

Four Fire Stones (oddly varying in size) and one Sun Stone tumbled out.

Su Feng frowned. Why the size differences? Comparing them revealed discrepancies in luminosity too—the largest stone pulsed with molten energy.

"Could evolution stones have… quality tiers?"
