Within the depths of the night, Brandon's phone buzzed. One glance at the screen, and his smile dropped.
"No..." he whispered, sweat breaking through, his hands trembling with the phone. He dashed to the next room, his heart pounding against his chest, praying and hoping it would be a nightmare, but he was met with an open door and no sight of her. His sudden ruffles within the night had awoken the light sleepers. Kabir and Blair walked out of their bed chambers wrapped in soft fur coats.
"Brandon…" Blair called, but Brandon stood like a rock. His mind was far gone, and his mouth had lost all forms of communication.
"What's wrong?" Blair asked, but his question was still met with more silence. Brandon's shaky hands stretched out with the phone. A video played on the screen, blurry but clear enough to make out the victim and the culprit. Alice… Blood, screams. And a voice in the background. Claude's voice.
