"And what do you want me to do? Kiss him awake?" Lucas asked with a raise of his brow. He couldn't see the point of this call, and neither could he make out the head or tail behind this call.
"Lucas!"
"What?" Lucas ran his fingers through his hair. He said to his father, "If he fainted, then you need to call a doctor for him. Why would you call me? Aren't you worried that after seeing me, your precious son would end up in a lifetime coma? I assure you that I am the last person he wants to see."
Benjamin pinched the space between his brows as he couldn't understand what to say to his son. He knew that even though Lucas pretended that he didn't care about anything, the truth was that his pride ran too deep, and he cared a lot about things even when he pretended not to in his own twisted way.
Sometimes he wondered if Molly deliberately raised her son in such a manner to riddle him with troubles all his life.
