"No," Lucas instinctively replied. He then raised a brow at Bree and said to her, "Don't you think that you are poking your nose way too much in my business, Bree? And do you really think that I will run in the middle of the night for Mia Wills?"
"I am glad that you can see things clearly, Luke." Bree put her hands around Lucas's arm. "If it were me who was in your position, I would have ruined that woman instead of just using her as a chipping piece. After all, we don't need anyone who has once harmed us in our lives. Giving second chances to people like them would only lead to further wounds on our hearts."
Lucas simply smiled at the woman as he took his arm away from her. He said, "You are thinking too much, Bree. I am not the kind of person who would burn my hands in the same flame in which I almost died. I assure you that I am smarter than that."
