Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Treasure Chest

Early the next morning!

Xiaoluo took a dozen or so subordinates and set sail on the fishing boats converted from those three pirate ships.

These dozen or so subordinates were all good at operating boats. After learning that Xiaoluo was going out to sea to hunt Sea Kings, they all voluntarily joined him to operate the fishing boats for him.

The fishing boats sailed out of the port and headed towards the unknown sea.

This was Xiaoluo's first time sailing this far.

Watching the port quickly disappear from his sight, Xiaoluo gathered his mind and got ready for battle at any time.

"Captain, there's a ship ahead!"

While Xiaoluo was sailing on the sea, a pirate ship had targeted them.

Xiaoluo stood on the deck, closing his eyes and sensing with his Observation Haki.

Suddenly, a ship appeared within the range of his Observation Haki.

This piqued Xiaoluo's interest a little.

He didn't expect to encounter a ship just an hour after setting sail. He wondered if it was a pirate ship or a merchant ship.

Just as Xiaoluo was lost in thought.

A loud noise came from afar.

Well! No need to think. It must be a pirate ship.

Xiaoluo opened his eyes and watched as the cannonballs came flying towards their ship.

However, the gunners on the other side were a bit off - target, and the cannonballs landed around their ship.

Even so, it still made the sailors on the ship panic.

"Don't panic! I'm still here!"

Xiaoluo's voice clearly reached the ears of every sailor on the ship.

The dozen or so sailors forced themselves to suppress their panic and looked at Xiaoluo.

"Operate the ship well. Leave these pirates to me."

After saying that, Xiaoluo leaped and swung his fist at a cannonball.

Xiaoluo's Observation Haki predicted that this cannonball might hit the ship, so he punched it in advance and exploded it.

Boom!

With a loud noise, the bomb exploded in the air, and Xiaoluo landed unscathed on the deck.

"The boss is awesome!"

The dozen or so sailor subordinates roared when they saw this scene.

Xiaoluo smiled slightly.

As for the opposing pirate group.

"Captain, the other side is not easy to deal with!"

A sailor holding a telescope frowned and said after seeing Xiaoluo explode the cannonball with his bare hands.

"What are you afraid of! We have so many men. Are we still afraid of a little kid? Get closer to them!"

The pirate captain pushed the lookout aside and gave an order to the helmsman.

"Yes! Captain!"

Watching the pirate group approaching them.

Xiaoluo smiled. He was originally worried that the other side would keep using cannonballs to exhaust him, but now they were coming closer on their own.

"Don't panic. I'll go and meet them!"

Xiaoluo leaped and stepped on the air towards the opposing pirate group.

This was a skill Xiaoluo learned based on the Moon Walk from the Navy Six Styles. Because he only knew some principles, Xiaoluo couldn't fully unleash the power of the Moon Walk. He could only fly a short distance and at a low altitude.

However, it was more than enough to deal with the pirate group in front of him.

"Kid! Who are you!"

The pirate captain warily looked at the kid who suddenly appeared on their ship.

He originally thought it was just a nobody, but it turned out they had provoked a big enemy.

"You're pirates, aren't you?"

Xiaoluo said while looking at the huge pirate flag on top of the ship.

Before the pirate captain could say a word.

Xia Luo rushed straight towards the pirate captain and punched him in the face.

Bang!

The pirate captain was knocked to the ground heavily.

"Attack him!"

The pirate captain covered half of his face and pointed at Xia Luo as he shouted to his pirate subordinates.

The pirate captain was furious at Xia Luo's sudden attack.

Xia Luo smiled faintly. Looking at the numerous pirates, he didn't even consider drawing his sword and just charged forward with his fists raised.

Bang, bang, bang!

Xia Luo quickly rushed into the crowd and knocked them all to the ground one by one before they could react.

Most of the pirates lying on the ground were dead. Some had their chests smashed in, while others had their heads burst. None of them was intact.

"Ah?"

The pirate captain was so scared at this sight that his legs kicked wildly as he kept backing away.

Xia Luo looked at him with blood - stained fists.

He jumped in front of the pirate captain. Without even giving him a chance to speak, he landed a hard punch.

Bang!

The pirate captain died instantly, and his head was directly broken off.

Looking at the headless corpse and the blood and flesh fragments sticking to his own body.

"When did I become so ruthless? I didn't even leave a single survivor!"

Xia Luo said as he looked at the bodies on the deck.

Then he waved at his fishing boat, signaling them to come over.

As soon as Xia Luo rushed over, the sailors were already lying on the side of the boat, watching their boss show his might.

Seeing their boss wave, a dozen sailors quickly steered the boat closer.

"Boss!"

Several sailors jumped over. Seeing the deck full of bodies, they said, trembling.

"Stack all these bodies together and use them to attract the Sea Kings!"

Xia Luo commanded.

He didn't want to wander aimlessly in this vast ocean. Instead of going to look for them himself, it was better to let them come on their own.

"Yes! Yes!"

Several sailors said tremblingly.

Xia Luo then walked into the cabin to see if he could find any treasures.

After looking around, he found nothing except a treasure chest in the captain's room.

Looking at this treasure chest!

"Could there be a Devil Fruit inside?"

Xia Luo said with a trembling hand as he looked at the treasure chest.

After all, the size of this treasure chest was just about the size of a Devil Fruit.

Maybe I'm really super lucky to come across a Devil Fruit on my first trip out at sea.

Looking at the lock, Xia Luo just yanked it open with one strong pull.

He opened it tremblingly.

"Hmm?"

"What is this?"

Xia Luo said in confusion as he looked at the paper in his hand.

"Could it be a treasure map?"

Xia Luo looked at the route maps on the paper.

Maybe it really was a treasure map.

"Could it be the place where the captain of this pirate group hid his treasures? But where is this location?"

Xia Luo didn't know which sea area this map covered.

He temporarily put it away, hoping to find something later.

After putting away the map, Xia Luo rummaged around and found several bounties with their amounts clearly shown on them.

"Pfft! A pirate with a bounty of only eleven million berries dares to be so arrogant!"

Xia Luo sneered as he looked at the numbers on the bounties.

After rummaging through the captain's cabin, Xia Luo found nearly six million berries.

Holding the berries, Xia Luo was about to search again.

"Boss, help! There are so many Sea Kings!"

Suddenly, Xia Luo heard the voice of his subordinate.

"So many Sea Kings? How many exactly?"

Xia Luo released his Observation Haki!

"Hiss!"

What Xia Luo saw was astonishing.

"How many Sea Kings are these? Did I poke a Sea King's nest?"

Xia Luo rushed out of the captain's cabin in a hurry.

Xia Luo looked at the Sea Kings surrounding the pirate ship.

"Quick! Throw the corpses over there to lead the Sea Kings away! Get out of here quickly!"

Xia Luo commanded in a hurry.

Many sailors were hurriedly operating the ship.

"Boss, the Sea Kings are blocking the way!"

The helmsman let out a desperate scream when he saw the Sea Kings ahead.

"Damn it!"

Xia Luo drew out the long sword at his waist.
