Feeling the scorching, soul-burning gaze from Waldo, Regina looked up. His eyes held the quiet menace of a slumbering beast, ready to pounce. She gritted her teeth and said, "You never said I couldn't go. I just wanted to look!"
"Oh? Forgotten how it felt to be torn into that night in the woods so soon?" Waldo sneered, his voice rough, edged with a growl.
Regina pursed her lips, staring hard at him. "Spying on others… Waldo, your hunting interests are really quite broad."
A flicker of something primal sparked in Waldo's eyes. He frowned slightly, watching her anger with a kind of predatory calm. The wildness inside him stirred. Abruptly, he changed the subject, his voice colder: "Change your clothes."
