Headmaster Dumbledore saw Light sitting on the ground in a disheveled state. He slightly raised his hand, and instantly, Light's torn clothes were restored, and the dust all over his body peeled off. Light was completely Scourgified.
"Thank you very much, Professor! How's the unicorn? What about the poacher? Was he caught?" Ignoring his newly-cleaned robes, Light still sat on the ground. After taking a short rest and still a bit out of breath, he asked.
"No. As soon as I showed up, he ran away. The unicorn is okay. I came here first, so I haven't had the chance to rescue the unicorn yet." While observing the traces on the battlefield, Headmaster Dumbledore answered Light's questions.
"You seem very tired. Do you need me to send you to the infirmary?" Looking at Light struggling to get up, Headmaster Dumbledore asked gently.
"I'm fine, Professor! I'm just out of energy because I've consumed too much Magic Power. Can you take me to see the unicorn? I won't be at ease otherwise!" Light staggered to his feet and said to Headmaster Dumbledore.
"Okay, I'll take you there. Don't open your mouth! You'll bite your tongue!" After saying this playful remark, Headmaster Dumbledore walked beside Light and put his hand on Light's back.
Before Light could react, he only felt his vision go dark. After a slight sense of dizziness, he appeared beside the faintly glowing unicorn.
Light saw the unicorn still tied by its hind hooves, lying on the ground. The unicorn also curiously looked at Light and Headmaster Dumbledore, who suddenly appeared, with its sky-blue eyes.
Headmaster Dumbledore gently raised his right hand, and the ropes binding the unicorn's horn loosened! Freed from the restraints, the unicorn struggled a few times and stood up.
After standing up, it wasn't scared, nor did it run away immediately! Instead, it tilted its head and looked at Light, with its sky-blue eyes full of curiosity.
"Go! It was you who saved it. It knows!" Headmaster Dumbledore smiled and patted Light on the shoulder, gesturing for Light to step forward and receive his glory.
Seeing this, Light put away his wand, stretched out his right hand to show that he meant no harm, and slowly walked towards the unicorn.
It seemed the unicorn thought Light was walking too slowly, so it also walked towards Light.
When Light saw the unicorn coming towards him, he couldn't help but be stunned. Subconsciously, he looked back at Headmaster Dumbledore, who still had a smiling expression.
Just when Light was still at a loss, the unicorn walked up to Light briskly and gracefully, then lowered its head and placed Light's right hand on the neck behind its spiral horn.
Light also came to his senses. He gently stroked it with his right hand and said in a gentle tone, "If it weren't for that unfortunate dead unicorn leading the way for me, I wouldn't have made it in time!" After saying that, he put his arms around the unicorn's neck.
Light leaned in and whispered to the unicorn, "Don't get caught next time!"
"Neigh!" The unicorn rubbed against Light forcefully and neighed a few times briskly.
"Go! See you if we're fated!" After stroking the unicorn a few times, Light let it go!
After being let go, the unicorn took a few steps back. One of its legs lifted slightly off the ground, and it nodded its head! Like a noble, after bowing to Light and Headmaster Dumbledore, it turned around and walked briskly into the forest.
"Protecting innocent lives from harm is quite fulfilling, isn't it?" Headmaster Dumbledore's gentle words woke up Light, who was smiling stupidly.
"Yes!"
"This feeling is really special. I'm so happy!" Light said briskly.
"Indeed! It's especially amazing to save such a unicorn!" Headmaster Dumbledore walked beside Light and sighed.
However, Light didn't respond to the headmaster. Instead, he frowned tightly, as if he had thought of something.
"What's the matter?" Seeing Light's strange state, the headmaster bent down and asked.
"I just suddenly thought of something. It doesn't seem right!" Light tapped his forehead with his right hand and recalled the recent battle.
"What do you mean!" The headmaster sounded surprised, but not overly shocked.
"The power of the Spells used by the poacher was abnormal. I could sense that he didn't use Magic Power to enhance the effects of the Spells. He just cast them purely."
"But the power of his Spells was extremely abnormal! Just one Spell broke through my double defenses! It's so strange." Light verbally explained his doubts to the headmaster and also thought to himself, 'Even my fully - mastered Sectumsempra was suppressed by an ordinary Avada Kedavra. I had to use most of my Magic Power to amplify it before I could fight back.'
"Even the final Fierce Blaze had an abnormal range and power. Clearly, I could feel there was no Magic Power amplification."
"Is that so? I'm not quite sure either! Let me send you back first! It's almost dawn!" The headmaster replied to Light's doubts with an ambiguous tone and changed the topic.
"Then can I go to see Hagrid? I want to check his injuries and tell him that the unicorn is safe." Light didn't continue to delve into it but asked about Hagrid.
"Of course you can!" As soon as the headmaster finished speaking, a flash of fire passed, and a red bird, Fawkes, appeared on his head.
"Let's go!" The headmaster put his hand on Light's shoulder. Fawkes spread its wings, and with a flash of fire, the two disappeared from the spot.
Light's eyes lit up, and he felt a slight sway. In the blink of an eye, they arrived at the infirmary.
"Coocoo" Hedwig chirped happily when she saw Light and the headmaster appear. Fang, who was lying beside the bed, also stood up wagging his tail.
Hagrid, who was sleeping on the sick - bed, was woken up. Seeing Light and the headmaster beside the bed, he struggled to get up.
"Don't get up. Lie down, lie down!" Light rushed forward to push Hagrid back.
"Hagrid, are you okay?" Light asked with a worried look.
"Light, I'm so glad you're safe! I'm fine. It's just a minor issue. I'll be okay after a rest!"
"What about the unicorn? Is it okay?" Hagrid didn't care about his own injuries at all but was more concerned about the unicorn.
"It's okay. Fortunately, Professor Quirrell arrived in time. Otherwise, it would have been dangerous!" Light explained the whole situation to Hagrid.
"That's great that everyone is okay! What about Professor Quirrell?" Hagrid let out a long breath and then seemed to remember something.
"I think he's okay too." Light turned his head to the side and stroked Fang, who was rubbing against his feet, looking evasive.
Seeing Light's reaction, the headmaster showed a peculiar smile and said to Hagrid:
"Quirrell is okay. Next, I'll ask Fawkes to entrust the centaurs to help with the patrol. You should rest first."
"No, I'm still up for it! I can go back to work tomorrow!"
"They still need me," Hagrid pleaded straightforwardly with Headmaster Dumbledore.
"Take good care of your injuries! The Forbidden Forest isn't kind to the sick and weak. Once you've recovered, I'll have Fawkes patrol with you! It'll come to me right away if it notices anything."
"Light, go back first! It'll be dawn soon. You don't want to get caught, do you?" After making the arrangements, Headmaster Dumbledore smiled and told Light to go back.
"Okay, Professor! I'm leaving now!" Light said goodbye to both Hagrid and Fang.
Then he left the infirmary, carrying Hedwig in his arms.
