Light tiptoed back to the dormitory. He put Hedwig back in the cage, cast the Scourgify spell on himself, and then lay down on the bed!
Lying in bed, Light felt as if he had returned to a safe zone, with the tension in his mind instantly relaxing and an overwhelming sense of exhaustion threatening to engulf him.
"Completed the mileage 'Forcing Back the Dark Lord'. Earned 1 Mileage Points."
"Completed the mileage 'Saving the Unicorn'. Earned 1 Mileage Points."
"Completed the mileage 'Appreciation of the Strongest'. Earned 1 Mileage Points."
"With Old Dumbledore right there, I didn't even dare to have the slightest thought! I'm so tired! I'll deal with everything tomorrow!" After just glancing at the information on the stone stele twice, Light fell into a deep sleep.
In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, the noise of young wizards playing and joking echoed throughout the room.
"Light, what's wrong with you! You look like you've been up all night!" Harry Potter asked worriedly, looking at Light with red eyes and a haggard appearance.
"I want to cultivate immortality and enjoy endless bliss! (a common saying in Chinese fantasy novels about seeking immortality)" Light mumbled in response to Harry Potter, his head nodding as if he was about to pass out at any moment.
"Oh no, no! Light is talking nonsense!" Ron nearly sprang up when he heard Light's words.
"Light, you should take a leave of absence!" Even Hermione couldn't stand it anymore and advised Light.
"No way! There won't be a Defense Against the Dark Arts class! Quirrell won't come!" Light made a startling declaration in a daze.
"How could... " Before Hermione could refute, the classroom door was pushed open, and the young wizards instantly fell silent when they saw who it was.
Professor Snape stood coldly on the podium. His sinister eyes scanned the classroom. When he saw Light, who was half - asleep and being shaken by Harry Potter and Ron, his eyes softened a little.
Then he withdrew his gaze and said hoarsely, "The Defense Against the Dark Arts professor has encountered some problems and can't teach you for the time being. The courses will be rescheduled. Now, you should study on your own!"
After Professor Snape finished speaking, he waved his black robe and turned to leave.
The three who had heard Light's "prediction" earlier looked at each other in surprise.
After lunch, in the Gryffindor common room, the three surrounded Light, who had recovered his spirit, and sized him up from head to toe.
"Light, how did you know Quirrell wouldn't come to class?" Ron couldn't hold back his curiosity and asked, looking at Light with a curious expression.
Seeing the inquiring looks from Harry Potter and Hermione, Light knew he couldn't hide it anymore. So he said mysteriously:
"Last night, I went to visit Hagrid, and we ran into poachers! If Dumbledore hadn't arrived in time, both Hagrid and I would have been in danger!"
"Hagrid is taking a rest today, so there won't be any trouble for Quirrell, who was patrolling with him."
"So dangerous! It must be Snape. I saw Snape intimidating Quirrell before. It must be his doing." Harry Potter clenched his fists and gritted his teeth in great anger.
"Then let's go to Dumbledore right away. We can't let him do more bad things!" Ron suggested.
"Okay, let's go now!" Hermione comforted Harry Potter and agreed with Ron's idea.
"You guys go! I need to rest, or I'll collapse!" Light didn't want to see Old Dumbledore, so he declined.
Watching as the three of them rushed off to the headmaster's office, Light fell into deep thought, recalling last night's battle. That casting speed and combat reaction were definitely beyond Quirrell's capabilities.
So, after sucking a unicorn's blood, can Voldemort use Spells and move around?
Perhaps it wasn't a coincidence that Harry Potter saw Professor Snape intimidating Quirrell before. It might be an interaction between souls.
Light shook his head, putting these thoughts aside, and prepared to start [Adding Points]. It's quite difficult to fight Voldemort with only nine points in [Dark Magic].
But which one should I add points to?
'My current problem is how to deal with Voldemort's abnormally powerful spellcasting.'
'[Magic Power], [White Magic], [Transfiguration], or [Dark Magic]?'
'I can rule out [Dark Magic] first. Adding it to ten points won't help much.'
'[White Magic] can also be excluded. It doesn't have much killing power.'
'[Transfiguration] also lacks killing power.'
'[Magic Power] won't work either! My output is insufficient. Even if I have enough magic power, it won't be very useful.'
'What a difficult situation!'
Just as Light was troubled about how to break the deadlock, a wonderful idea popped into his mind.
'My output is not enough. Is there any point in combining the [Fiendfyre curse] with [Transfiguration]?'
'Let the [Fiendfyre curse] be responsible for the output, and [Transfiguration] for control! Maybe later on, I can even develop a way to use the [Fiendfyre curse] to clear the path.'
Light's imagination ran wild, and he became interested! Just as he was considering the feasibility of this idea, he saw Harry Potter and the other two return dejectedly.
'What happened? Didn't you see Dumbledore?' Light asked curiously, looking at the three of them.
'We saw him! He said he trusted Snape and even asked him to temporarily teach the [Defense Against the Dark Arts class]!' Ron said as he sat down and then slumped onto the table.
'Dumbledore doesn't seem to want to get involved in this matter!' Hermione also lay on the table and said glumly.
'I don't understand why Dumbledore trusts Snape so much. He's clearly not a good person,' Harry Potter gritted his teeth and said.
'Well, maybe Dumbledore's got his reasons. You can go to the infirmary and ask Hagrid. If he testifies, Dumbledore will definitely believe you.'
'Besides, Hagrid is injured. It's good to go and see him!' Light dished out tasks to the three of them like an NPC in a game.
'Right! Hagrid must know. Let's go there now.' Led by Harry Potter, the three of them perked up again.
Light watched the three of them leave again, but this time they were going to visit Hagrid!
'How young they are!' Light sighed and then headed towards the [Room of Requirement].
'I need a training ground where I can practice the [Fiendfyre curse]!'
He pushed the door open. Above the empty square, many gravels were floating, with large gaps between each one.
Light raised his wand and pointed into the air!
A gravel in the air burst into a wild flame, and it was quickly burned out. The burning flame in the air shrank and transformed into a small flaming lion, pouncing towards Light.
Light pointed his wand at the pouncing flaming lion. Instead of using [All Spells End], he activated his magic power and coldly shouted, 'Extinguish!'
A beam of light shot out from the tip of the wand, and the Fiendfyre curse was instantly extinguished. If others knew that the Fiendfyre curse could be extinguished in such a way, they'd be absolutely stunned.
"What a super strange feeling! As soon as I used the Fiendfyre curse, I just instinctively knew how to put it out!"
"Could this be a feature of [Adding Points] nine points to Dark Magic? Or is it the effect of my complete mastery of Sectumsempra?"
"Then let's try again!"
Light looked at the Fiendfyre curse that had vanished into thin air in front of him and finally confirmed that he could extinguish the Fiendfyre curse because of his nine-point Dark Magic talent.
"Although it's very subtle, I can feel a mysterious connection between the Fiendfyre curse and the caster, and my talent can detect and interrupt it!"
"If so, [Adding Points] to Transfiguration."
