Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: The Essence of Magic Power

Under Light's command, a gigantic flaming lion stood in mid-air, looking like a burning mountain.

It kept leaping in the air, attacking the floating stones everywhere.

Each attack carried unmatched ferocity and an unbearably scorching temperature. The stones it hit were shattered by the violent impact.

The [Fiendfyre curse] (a powerful and destructive fire spell) accompanied the lion's attacks and wrapped around the scattered stones, trying to completely devour them and turn them into part of itself.

After devouring the stones, the Fiendfyre curse rose continuously along an invisible link, surging like a torrent towards the raging flaming lion in the air.

As the flames continued to gather, the body of the flaming lion became larger and larger, and a terrifying heat wave radiated from its body.

Staring at the ever - expanding Fiendfyre curse creation in front of him, Light was secretly amazed at its powerful might.

Feeling that his Magic Power was about to be exhausted, he waved his wand and directly cut off the connection between himself and the Fiendfyre curse.

The once - raging flaming lion suddenly seemed to lose its support and power and began to tremble violently.

As time passed, the fire gradually weakened, as if its life force had been drained away. The once - extremely hot flames became dimmer and dimmer.

Finally, only a few weak flames struggled and swayed in the air, and then went out completely. The whole space was filled with distorted air.

Light breathed in the scorching air, staggered to pick up his notebook, and ran out of the door.

"I need a bathroom!"

When he pushed the door open again, the scorching training ground like hell disappeared, and a huge bathroom came into Light's sight.

The cool water vapor rushed towards Light. He squinted his eyes and enjoyed the coolness.

He stepped into the bathroom. The exquisitely carved tiles were laid all the way to the ceiling, and there was a soft carpet on the floor, giving a warm and comfortable feeling.

In the spacious shower area, all kinds of bathing products were floating in the air. In the ten - meter - long and wide bathtub, clear water rippled.

Light took off his robe, took a shower, and then walked into the spacious bathtub.

"Ah!!!" Light blurted out with sheer delight.

"I'm right. I can fully control the Fiendfyre curse now. Next, I just have to wait for Voldemort to take action! I'll just torch him!" Light looked at his reflection in the bathtub and silently decided how Voldemort would die.

"Voldemort still has six Horcruxes out there. I can still reap some benefits from them!"

"The fragment of Voldemort's soul in Harry Potter might be separated by using Sectumsempra." Light's mumbling faded away as if he was drifting off to sleep.

"Extreme emotions can connect to the soul... Plop!" A huge splash suddenly burst out of the large bathtub.

"Almost drowned!" Light, who was awakened by the scare, stood up in the bathtub, wiped his face, and then soaked back in.

"I seem to have thought of something really important just now!" Light cupped the clear water with both hands and looked at his reflection in his hands. Countless thoughts flashed through his mind.

"What on earth is the soul, and how is Magic Power generated?

Silently watching the clear water in his hand drop into the bathtub, Light suddenly shrank his pupils.

He quickly picked up the wand beside the bathtub and controlled the water in it to float up and turn into individual words.

"I had a conjecture before that when the soul and the spirit overlap, Magic Power will be generated! But I couldn't find the point of overlap. Could extreme emotions be the key point where the two overlap?"

"The outburst of Magic Power in my youth was the key to the connection between the soul and the spirit!"

"As for magical creatures, their special abilities are produced by the direct overlap of the soul and the body. That's why they can't cast Spells freely."

"Because most of their power is used to maintain the existence of their own bodies and abilities."

"In contrast, there are wizards and goblins with relatively weak bodies!"

"Since they don't need to maintain a powerful body, they have the energy to use Spells."

"But why are Muggles and Squibs like this? Why haven't they awakened?"

Light continued to control the words formed by the water flow, stood up, and paced back and forth in the bathtub.

Light's mind was working frantically, trying to find the answer to the question. Suddenly, a wonderful Spell, Animagus, appeared in Light's mind.

"If you change your body, does the soul still exist? Undoubtedly, the soul still exists."

"Then why do you lose your humanity if you stay in the form of an animal for too long? Because the soul and the spirit are different things."

"Is it possible that the quality of the soul varies in size, and an excellent body attracts a strong soul to descend!"

"A weak body can only accommodate a weak soul, and at present, it's impossible to artificially judge whether a body is excellent or not. The descent of the soul is full of uncertainty."

Light stopped walking. His wand in his hand kept waving, and he depicted his thoughts in the air with water.

"So, whether it's a wizard's Magic Power or a magical creature's talent, in essence, they are all talents bestowed by the soul."

"So Squibs and Muggles are because the quality of their souls is too small, and their own extreme emotions are not enough to link the soul and the spirit to generate Magic Power."

"This may be the reason why powerful magical creatures need a long time to gestate, as they need to screen the soul. If the soul can't synthesize Magic Power for the magical creature, it will become a stillborn and won't be born."

Light walked up to the floating water words and carefully looked at his conjectures and conclusions.

"Most of these are just conjectures and need to be verified! But compared to the previous state of having no clue, this of mine is at least verifiable!"

"However, it's a bit difficult to measure the soul, according to my conjecture. All the Spells that claim to be effective on the soul currently actually only have an effect on people's spirits."

"They simply can't touch the soul, so it's very difficult to verify!"

Light waved his wand, and the water words floating in the air all sank back into the bathtub.

"If my conjecture is correct, then can I mass - produce wizards?"

Thinking of this, Light showed an inexplicable smile on his face.

"Overthrow human tyranny! The world belongs to wizards."

After Light made a meme, he put on his cleaned robe, picked up his notes. Just before he left the bathroom, he cast a lingering look at the luxurious bathroom and then closed the door and left.

Once Light stepped into the Gryffindor common room, he heard someone talking about the news that the professor of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class had been replaced by Snape, and they would have combined classes with Slytherin.

"Light, what do you think?" Ron suddenly popped up from somewhere.

"Whatever! It's not as terrifying as you guys think. Snape is quite capable of teaching. In the past two years, he's the only teacher who really teaches in class."

"But what if he makes things difficult for us? He doesn't seem like a good guy!" Ron scratched his head and said with worry.

"It's okay. It's nearly finals. He won't be our teacher for long! By the way, where's Harry Potter?" Light waved his hand nonchalantly and switched the topic.
