Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: The Arrival of the Finals

"When we went to visit Hagrid, before we could ask him anything, Dumbledore just showed up too."

"Then, Harry Potter was called away by Dumbledore! Hermione and I couldn't get anything out of Hagrid either." Ron described today's encounter to Light, gesturing animatedly.

"I see! Your experience is really something special!" Light responded to Ron perfunctorily, but started thinking in his mind:

"Old Dumbledore must have noticed something and started to be on alert. So did he specifically call Harry Potter over to give him some backup plans?"

"Harry Potter, over here!" While chatting with Light, Ron saw Harry Potter enter the common room and stood up to greet him.

Harry Potter, who had just entered the common room, couldn't help but smile when he saw Ron's greeting and walked over quickly.

"Harry Potter, what did Dumbledore say to you when he called you over? Did he discover something and call you to confirm it?" Ron pulled Harry Potter down to sit and asked anxiously.

Hearing Ron's question, Harry Potter's face instantly fell. He looked like he wanted to say something but didn't know how to put it.

"What's wrong? Come on, tell us! I'm dying of curiosity!" Ron got impatient when he saw Harry Potter's expression.

"If you can't tell us, it's okay. Don't have to say it," Light couldn't help but chime in, seeing the two of them acting like a comedy duo.

"It's not that I can't tell. It's just that I don't quite understand what Dumbledore said," Harry Potter said, and before Ron could press further, he repeated what Dumbledore had told him.

"When you're powerless, embrace your enemy."

"What? What did you say? What the hell is that supposed to mean? What nonsense did Dumbledore say," Ron scratched his head repeatedly, looking completely bewildered.

"I don't know either. I had the same expression as you when I first heard it," Harry Potter shrugged his hands and said bitterly.

Different from the confused Harry Potter and Ron, Light immediately knew the reason.

"It seems that Voldemort's combat power has made Old Dumbledore wary, so he doesn't want Harry Potter to just rush in blindly!" After figuring it out, Light looked at the two who were still racking their brains and said:

"Maybe Harry Potter has the power to restrain the enemy, and embracing the enemy is the way to activate this power!"

"Makes sense, but I don't feel any power either!" Harry Potter glanced at Ron first and then said doubtfully.

"Maybe it's hidden somewhere," Ron looked at Harry Potter and couldn't help reaching out his hand to feel around Harry Potter.

"What are you doing! Stop it!" Harry Potter slapped away Ron's hand.

"Come on, let me take a look!" Ron persisted and reached out to Harry Potter again.

"Stop it! Ron! Stop," Harry Potter continued to struggle.

Seeing this scene, Light couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth and reminded them, "A lot of people are looking this way. Behave yourselves."

Hearing Light's reminder, the two looked around and indeed saw that some people had been attracted by their actions.

"Let's go back to the dormitory first," Light sighed and shook his head, then said to Harry Potter and Ron.

"Okay!!" Harry Potter and Ron answered somewhat awkwardly.

In the quiet classroom of the Defense Against the Dark Arts, students from Gryffindor and Slytherin were sitting quietly in their seats. There were hardly any fidgety movements among the students of the two houses.

Light was quietly flipping through Advanced Transfiguration borrowed from The Library, feeling the atmosphere quite different from usual.

He couldn't help but secretly marvel at the prestige of Professor Snape, who had completely intimidated the young wizards.

Just as Light put away the book in his hand, a figure in a black robe quickly walked into the classroom through the door.

Professor Snape walked to the podium and put down the Textbooks in his hand!

His empty eyes scanned the young wizards in the classroom, paused on Harry Potter for a moment, and then he said:

"I'll be temporarily taking over your Defense Against the Dark Arts class. I'm going to give you a little piece of advice. Be vigilant against those who act strangely in normal times. They may not have pure intentions."

Knowing who Professor Snape was talking to, Light couldn't help but steal a glance at Harry Potter. He noticed that Harry Potter was eyeing Professor Snape warily, which showed that he hadn't listened to a single word.

"Silence!"

Professor Snape directly raised his voice, interrupting the restlessness of the young wizards.

"Next, open your Textbooks! Today, you're going to learn to identify Hexes and use anti-curse..."

Listening to Professor Snape's teaching, perhaps because of his extremely high Dark Magic talent, Light thought Professor Snape's teaching wasn't comprehensive enough, but he didn't say a word!

For the first-year young wizards, Professor Snape's teaching was more than enough!

As Professor Snape kept asking questions, the atmosphere in the class began to heat up.

Somehow, Professor Snape didn't pick on Harry Potter in this class.

After Hermione answered Professor Snape's last question, Professor Snape glanced at the time and announced:

"Alright, it's time to end the class!"

After saying that, Professor Snape ended the class right away and left the classroom without any delay.

Time flew by, and the Finals were about to start!

Under the supervision of Hermione and Light, Harry Potter and Ron kept making up for their lessons, hoping to make one last push at the last moment.

Amid the students' restlessness, the exams began.

Professor Flitwick in the Spells class asked the students to line up and enter the classroom.

In the nervous eyes of the students, he announced that they had to make a pineapple tap-dance across the desk by casting a spell.

In the Herbology class, Professor Sprout asked the students to identify the characteristics of herbs and whether the mushrooms were poisonous.

Light and Hermione completed the tasks with ease, while Harry Potter and Ron managed to finish the exams with some difficulties.

Compared with the even worse performance of other young wizards, Ron and Harry Potter weren't so nervous anymore.

Ron was even quite confident that he could handle the exams!

But during the Potions exam, Ron wasn't that confident. Professor Snape often hovered around Harry Potter, which also affected Ron. He was so scared that he dared not move.

However, Harry Potter performed steadily, not giving Professor Snape any chance to pick on him.

In the following Transfiguration Class exam, Professor McGonagall asked the students to come to her one by one and turn a small piece of wood into a button.

As long as the students could make the transformation, they would pass the exam. Those who could change the size and shape of the wood would receive an excellent grade.

When Professor Binns announced that the time was up in the History of Magic class, the young wizards all put down their quills, rolled up the parchment filled with exam questions, and handed them to Professor Binns.

Almost all the young wizards broke into genuine smiles because the end of the exam meant they were free.

In the coming week while waiting for the exam results, they could have fun freely! After the announcement of the House Cup results on the last day, they could go home.

Looking at the noisy crowd, Light didn't immediately go to find Harry Potter and the others. Instead, he went back to the Gryffindor common room to wait for them to return.

Light raised his hand to rub his forehead, closed his eyes, and began to relieve the fatigue brought on by the exam.
