Amidst Hermione's shouts and the panicked cries of Harry Potter and Ron, the flying car in the air suddenly 'whooshed' and turned to fly into the sky!
"Light, we have to find a way to save them!"
Hermione's panicked voice rang out. It woke up the dazed Light again.
"What should we do then?" Light didn't react immediately and looked at Hermione hesitantly.
At this time, Hermione was pacing around anxiously, muttering to herself all the time!
"What should we do! The professors are all at the school. If they had flown over to us just now, we might have been able to get them here. Now we can't even see them!"
Light didn't respond to Hermione. His brain was frantically recalling when he had been tricked!
Legilimency was working at full speed, extracting the memories of the past two days and looking for clues from a third - person perspective.
"Was it when I was bumped into by Malfoy just now? Yes! The diary must have been taken at that time. But I should have fallen into the trap earlier..."
Continuously flipping through his memories of the past two days, Light finally found the time when he had been tricked.
"Last night, when I had my second conversation with the diary, I fell for it."
Light gritted his teeth and spat out a few words through his teeth.
"Spells"
Looking at the notebook in his memory, the first word of each sentence that emerged formed a spell that could shield memories.
Seeing this, a sudden surge of anger welled up in Light's heart! A terrifying idea popped into his mind.
"The Horcruxes must be on the train now. How about using the Fiendfyre curse to burn the train directly!"
Light let out a long breath and threw this crazy idea out of his mind, thinking resentfully!
"Who would've thought I'd get burned today after being so shrewd all the time! Just you wait. Once I catch you, I'll wipe you out right away."
When Light came to his senses, he found that Hermione had disappeared! Maybe she had gone to find someone to help.
Knowing the plot, Light didn't worry too much about the safety of Harry Potter and Ron. Instead, he started thinking about the reason why he had been tricked!
"Was it because of the Horcruxes?"
"Probably not. The Horcruxes don't have such a powerful characteristic. What's powerful is Voldemort residing inside it."
"Is it because my Dark Magic resistance isn't high enough?"
"No, I can even control the Fiendfyre curse. My resistance is incredibly high!"
"Or is it because my Dark Magic talent is too high and I'm more likely to be tricked?"
"Even more impossible. High talent not only means a faster learning speed of Dark Magic but also stronger Dark Magic resistance!"
...
Countless possibilities circled in his mind and were negated one by one! Finally, Light opened his eyes and determined the reason why he had been tricked.
"My White Magic resistance is too low. Plus, I didn't expect this Horcruxes to be able to use White Magic. Being caught off - guard by a well - planned scheme, I fell for it!"
After figuring out the reason, Light also calmed down!
"Thank goodness my Dark Magic resistance is high enough. Otherwise, what awaited me would have been the Imperius Curse, not just the White Magic that temporarily obscured my memory."
After sorting everything out, Light glanced at his Three - dimensional magical attributes and suppressed the thought of adding his last Mileage Points to White Magic.
"We're going to face a thousand-year-old basilisk and an unexpected Voldemort next. We'd better keep some aces up our sleeves!"
While Light was thinking about how to deal with Voldemort next, the door of the carriage opened again!
Hermione sat down across from Light with a disappointed and anxious look on her face.
Seeing Hermione looking so downcast, Light asked curiously, "What's up?"
"I told the prefects about Harry Potter and Ron, but they all laughed at me. They said a car couldn't fly in the air! Some of them didn't even know what a car was!"
Hermione told Light angrily what had just happened to her.
Light could only comfort Hermione, saying that Harry Potter and Ron were lucky and wouldn't get into trouble. Besides, there was nothing they could do...
Hearing Light's consolation, Hermione felt a little calmer, but she still kept craning her neck out of the window, even though she couldn't see the flying car at all.
Finally, while Hermione was waiting anxiously, the train slowly pulled into the station. As soon as the train stopped,
she was about to rush off with Hagrid to find the professors at Hogwarts, but Light grabbed her.
"Where are you going?"
Hermione turned around and looked at Light, who was holding her, in confusion and said anxiously,
"I'm going to Hogwarts to find the professors and ask them to save Harry Potter and Ron!"
Looking at Hermione's flustered expression, Light sighed softly and started to explain,
"You forgot! There were no second-year students with us when we came. The upperclassmen have their own ways to get here."
Hermione watched as Hagrid led the first-year students away. Indeed, as Light said, the second-year students were walking in the other direction of the station under the leadership of the prefects.
Seeing this, Hermione could only make a bitter face and follow Light to join the crowd!
The two of them followed the crowd to an open space where there were hundreds of black-grey carriages parked.
It seemed that there were no magical creatures pulling the carriages in front. There were just the carriages parked on the open space.
"How come these carriages are just standing there? It seems there are no magical creatures pulling them!"
Watching the prefects calling the students to get on the carriages, Hermione couldn't suppress her curiosity and asked Light.
"The carriages are pulled by a magical creature called Thestral. It will start moving when the carriage is full of people!" Light briefly introduced the characteristics of Thestrals to Hermione.
After hearing the introduction, Hermione defiantly widened her eyes, as if she wanted to see this magical creature clearly!
Light looked at the Thestral in front of the carriage. It had a body like a bony black horse, a dragon-like head, and large bat-like wings!
"Thestral, huh..." Looking at the magical creature in front of him, Light slightly squinted his eyes, a little curious about its characteristic of being invisible to those who haven't witnessed death.
"Forget it. Let's get on the carriage!" After struggling with the Thestral for a while, Hermione gave up the idea of seeing it clearly. She turned around, pulled the still curious Light, and got on the carriage!
Light also got on the carriage after hearing the call and waited for it to start.
Shortly after they got on the carriage, two strangers also boarded. Just then, the carriage began to move slowly. It seemed that four people were the standard for departure.
The carriage was moving at a not - too - fast speed, and the four people in the carriage didn't talk much. Hermione was worried about Harry Potter and Ron.
Light wondered if he could use Thestral blood to make a potion. The potion might let him gain the characteristic of being invisible to those who haven't met the conditions!
The other two who got on the carriage didn't speak because they were not familiar with each other and no one took the initiative to start a conversation.
Before long, the carriage stopped at the steps in front of the castle gate.
As soon as the carriage stopped, Hermione immediately jumped out and ran towards the castle!
When Light caught up, he saw Hermione talking to Professor McGonagall, who was waiting in front of the castle gate.
Professor McGonagall first looked in disbelief, then impatiently yanked a prefect over and quickly walked away.
