Chapter 86 - Chapter 86: Taking It a Step Further

"Professor, I'm sure you don't need me to explain why potions should be buried in a place isolated from the outside world, away from sunlight!"

Light stole a glance at Professor Snape. Seeing that the professor ignored his words and still stared at him, he had to continue,

"On the one hand, it isolates the potion from external information, allowing it to ferment."

"From the aspect of magic ritual, burying it in the dark represents the silent gestation and formation of life!"

"Thunderstorms serve as nature's witness. Drinking the potion and undergoing transformation under its witness symbolize the birth of life and its connection with nature!"

As soon as Light finished expressing his thoughts, Professor Snape suddenly asked, "Why can't this Spells be cast a second time?"

Hearing the question, Light didn't think much and directly gave his answer,

"It's not that it can't be done a second time, but the failure rate of the second attempt is extremely high!"

Seeing Professor Snape slowly frown, Light went on,

"The most crucial part of this Spells is the collection of [spirit] and physical information by the [mandrake roots]' leaves. If the Spells fails the first time, the [spirit] and body will develop resistance to the leaves!"

"Once resistance develops, the information can't be fully collected, and it will be very dangerous during the transformation. In this case, failure is inevitable."

Professor Snape listened quietly to Light's explanation of the [Animagus]. He didn't say a word for a long time.

After a long while, Professor Snape slowly spoke in a low voice, "So what are you going to do?"

After a moment of hesitation, Light slowly stated his plan,

"Extract spiritual blood from [magical creature] as physical information to activate the [Obscurial bloodline] in me."

"Secondly, mix my spiritual blood, that of the [magical creature], and the [mandrake roots]' leaves carrying [spirit] information into a potion."

"Fuse the foreign Magic Power with the [wizard]'s Magic Power."

"Then, through the corresponding magic ritual, obtain a new form and re-enter the world!"

Light's confident words failed to convince Professor Snape. A low voice asked, "So who do you plan to use for the experiment?"

Light fell silent. All his persuasive words faded. He didn't know how to continue convincing the man hidden in the darkness in front of him.

After a long time, Professor Snape let out a soft sigh, and a hoarse voice came,

"Forget it. Even if I don't agree, you'll do it secretly anyway. Tell me how to prepare the blended potion!"

Light suddenly looked up, shocked, and stared at Professor Snape, who still had a poker face. After a moment's hesitation, he said, "Professor, there's no need! I can handle it..."

Before Light could finish his sentence, Professor Snape interrupted him in a stern tone,

"How are you going to handle it? Act like a [dark wizards] and force experiments on others?"

"Don't think that just because you're talented, you can do whatever you like! You're nothing to me right now."

"Now, hand over all your knowledge right away."

Seeing that Professor Snape was about to continue scolding, Light quickly said, "I'm more than willing to hand over my knowledge, but it's a bit tricky without the ingredients."

"Don't worry about that!"

Professor Snape raised his hand and said Accio. Two glass bottles filled with a red liquid that emitted a spiritual glow on the shelf in the corner of the office flew towards him. He grabbed them and gave them to Light.

"This here is the refined spiritual blood of a Troll and a wizard's spiritual blood! Use them to prepare the potion!"

Light took the two bottles of spiritual blood from Professor Snape and quickly walked to the workbench. He picked up the bottle of the wizard's spiritual blood and began to operate.

"First, process the mandrake roots' leaves to enhance their ability to absorb information. Then, put them into the wizard's spiritual blood to let them absorb enough information..."

As he spoke, Light deftly operated the tools in his hands.

Professor Snape didn't say a word. He watched quietly, not letting down his guard at all.

"Then, put the Evernight Flowers that can activate its instinctive emotions into the Troll's spiritual blood!"

After finishing the preparations, Light looked at Professor Snape and said, "These things need to ferment and react for a week before we can proceed to the next step."

Professor Snape looked at the two bottles of potion on the table, now with leaves and petals in them. He didn't say anything. He turned around and walked towards a corner, then came back carrying a small box.

"What's this?" Light looked at the ordinary - looking small wooden box that Professor Snape put on the table, his face full of doubt.

"This box can speed up the fermentation and reaction time of the potion!"

After briefly explaining the function of the box, Professor Snape stopped talking.

After a bit of Research on how to use it, Light found that it was quite easy to operate. It was just like a microwave oven. You just put the potion in and could choose the acceleration time.

After Light put the potion into the box and selected the reaction time, he started to record the mistakes he made when preparing the spiritual blood and the improvement methods.

I don't know how much time had passed!

A "ding" sound woke up Light, who was still taking notes.

Light took out the two bottles of spiritual blood from the box. It seemed that the leaves and petals in each bottle had completely melted in. The color had also changed from scarlet to a darker shade.

He set up the cauldron again and lit the fire!

'Pour the refined mandrake root juice into the cauldron first.'

'Then put in the petals of the Evernight Flowers... stir... the two bottles of processed spiritual blood... stir...'

Numerous ingredients were blending during the stirring process, and Light's spirit was also being tempered and combined in the cauldron along with the potion.

About half an hour later, Light stopped stirring with a tired face and looked at the potion in the cauldron that was still boiling even after the fire was turned off.

He watched as the red potion surged in the cauldron, like leaping flames. Every time it jumped, it released a subtle wave of Magic Power.

"Did we succeed!"

Professor Snape's deep voice came. Although it was a question, his tone was extremely certain.

"Not yet. It still needs to be buried in a place isolated from the outside world for a week! And it has to be taken at a specific time."

As Light explained, he transferred the potion from the cauldron to a glass bottle. Strangely enough, the potion that was leaping like fire was ice - cold.

"Professor, I'm sorry to trouble you!" Light handed the potion in his hand to Professor Snape.

Professor Snape didn't say a word. He quietly took the potion and nodded slightly to indicate that it was okay. Then he started to shoo Light away.

After bidding farewell to Professor Snape with a smile, Light left the office with a brisk step.

In the dark office, Professor Snape was examining the blended potion in his hand. Meanwhile, he said casually,

"You seem quite concerned about his Research. Are you hoping he'll save you?"

In the dark office, an old man in a white robe suddenly appeared. It was Headmaster Dumbledore, his face ashen. He said to Professor Snape, who was still busy with his hands,

"I'm not afraid of death. I'm just scared of dying without making a difference!"

Hearing this, Professor Snape didn't say a word. He turned around, walked over to a shelf, picked up a bottle of potion, and handed it to Headmaster Dumbledore.

"This is the weekly supply. He already knows that you've been cursed with Curses."

Headmaster Dumbledore took the potion without showing any surprise. Instead, his face grew solemn as he brought up another matter.

"This isn't the main point. The key thing is that the news has leaked out. Thankfully, it's just a rumor for now..."
