17th of July, 2020, at the National Bank. Everything was in Chaos. I, Hanosuke Chiba, a college student, was on my way to the bank to get this month's paycheck to pay my mother's final hospital bill that I have been saving for. She has been bedridden for 9 months because of an unexplained illness. I was walking with my headphones, volume up, and couldn't hear the screams as I opened the door to the bank and saw Masked Men with Guns. The Sound of Glass breaking and gunshots was heard throughout the whole building as they mistook me for a cop. Gasps and screams were heard from the other hostages. I fell on the floor. My body not moving an inch, I felt my muscles and veins loosen up.
"Oh, Fuck! I shot him out of reflex!" Shouted the man with a rifle in his hand. "Dude! We weren't supposed to kill anyone, just steal!" said the second man next to him. "I-Im sorry! I didn't mean to!" "What's done is done! Quickly grab the bag and let's go!!" "A-alright!" A minute later, they collected the money and ran in my direction towards the entrance, and apologized as they left. "F-forgive..me please.." Another man ran towards me. "Hey! Someone has been shot at! Quickly help him!" I heard multiple people running towards my fallen body. "Is anyone here a doctor?!" Due to the shock I was experiencing, I was only now realizing I was shot near my heart, but it was a deadly shot. My ears suddenly began to ring loudly, and I couldn't hear the men anymore. My Consciousness began to fade, [I-I just wanted to grab my paycheck..] I thought to myself as my body gave out. All I heard besides my ears ringing were the screams of the onlookers, and an ambulance could be heard getting closer. "Hey, stay with me until the ambulance arrives! Hey!" The unfamiliar man began to press on my chest, trying to bring me back to consciousness.
The life I had planned to live once was now destroyed to bits. The precious Life that can only be lived once was stripped away from me in a heartbeat, and I wished I had never visited the bank on this day. Closing my eyes and saying my last goodbyes to the world I once lived in, unwillingly but forcefully removed from. I felt my body suddenly turning cold. I found myself in a pretty garden full of life, with beautiful flowers of all kinds for the eye to see, as if it were a dream I never wanted to wake up from."Am I in the Afterlife? is this it?" my question gone unanswered, I couldn't stop the tears from flowing down my face like a river. My eyes wide open, remembering the pain I had experienced a few minutes earlier, I knelt on the warm green grass, sobbing uncontrollably, shaking violently. The peaceful atmosphere and the pleasant wind that kissed my face brought more tears out of me. I stood back up, looking onto the vast green land, remembering my mother, whom I had left there all alone, bedridden, with no one to help her. As I was drowning in my thoughts, a golden paper fell on the ground. I wiped my tears and slowly knelt to pick up and get a better look at the letter, which read:
[Oh, young one, thou shaltn't be here yet; it's not thy time to return just yet.
Thou shalt be sent to be reborn, to accommodate my mistake.]
What is this supposed to mean? Who wrote this? Those questions filled my mind at this moment still in disbelief
Suddenly, the reality I was in began warping. I found myself falling faster than I could think; it was something I'd never experienced before. Moments later, I felt warmth surrounding me. I suddenly felt all my negative emotions disappearing.
Waking up to birds chirping, cuddled with warmth, I opened my eyes to witness my surroundings. "It's a healthy baby boy, ma'am!" I couldn't help but let out a cry as my small body didn't follow my confused mind. "What a beautiful baby this is, blue eyes and...wow! Not even royalty has silver hair!" I looked at the exhausted lady next to me as she held me closer to her, and she was truly beautiful in every sense, with wonderful golden hair and beautiful crimson eyes looking at me. "My baby..." her warmth soothed my fragile body.
[What is happening..First, I was at the bank going to receive my paycheck. Second, the garden and golden letter, and the next thing, I woke up as a baby? Is this some kind of dream too?..] still confused, I was startled by the sound of the door suddenly opening and slamming, a man in his 20s, yet looked buff as hell, was walking towards us. "Christia, are you okay?!" spoke the man who entered the room, rushing to the side of the woman who held me, my mother. "SHHH, Stark, don't scare him! I'm fine." She spoke with a low, dangerous tone as if threatening him, "Gulp.. I'm sorry, honey." he turned to look at me, "I'm glad you're alive, honey...is this him?.. My son?" The man took a better look at me and noticed my unfamiliar appearance. "Hey, dear, why does he have silver hair? Don't tell me he has some illness." I understood immediately that this man was my father and... an idiot. He stroked my head gently, taking in my features. "I'm a father.." He began to sob dramatically, [How fragile is this man? Are those muscles just for show?] I thought to myself. "Honey, don't be so dramatic. How about you try holding him dear?" spoke my mother in a soft tone. [Mhm mhm don't be so dram-..wait what? Holding me? No No!] As she offered me, I became scared those big arms were gonna crush me. "Now, now, say dada!" [Damn he will kill me if he held me tighter!] I let out a cry to alert my mother, who heard me and quickly got into action. "Give him to me quick, you're suffocating him with those arms." Her look was deadly, even I got scared, "Oh, yes, of course, I'm sorry, honey.." Another loud knock on the door was heard, which got all of us 3.
"Christia, Stark, are you inside?" a woman voice was heard on the other side...
