With my knighthood I now had much more freedom than as a padawan and I could technically do what I want within the rules of the order. But with the war I was expected to lead in the military. After a few days GAR high command decided that I was fit to lead a battalion with the rank of Jedi General. (A battalion is 4 companies, 576 troopers in total) Along with the rank and battalion we was assigned an Acclamator and designated an heavy weapons transport and special operations unit. With this came a budget for making my battalion into spec ops and a support team to help me in doing so. I was told to arm and train the clones to do anything they were called for. With the help of the support team I got ahold of enough proper heavy armor including pauldrons and kama for all my forces. The rest of my budget bought 600 vibroblades, 300 hand held deployable energy shields and 100 basic sim pods for training. I spent the next week organizing things and using my new soldiers to tactically acquire other items of use. I had set up their new training and taught the other basics of warfare, like camo and guerrilla tactics which they had easily learned and had already camouflaged their armor with black, brown and grey. I had them gather as much rations, ammo, and other supplies as we could make disappear. Along with all of that I led a few small groups into the lower levels of Coruscant to take from a few know groups. From the raids we got weapons, explosives, exotic items and droids, the most notable being astromechs. With that most of the cargo we had been allocated was full so we simply trained and ran simulations. After a few months we were finally given the order to move out as the battle of Christophsis was stopped by the large blockade and Kenobi, Skywalker and Yularen were still trying to get through. Finally leaving Coruscant I took a look at the inventory of the acclamator I now lead. As a transport it would normally have lots of room for massive amounts of troops but this one had been modified for carrying heavy vehicles and craft. We had 600 speeder bikes, 150 AT-RT, 100 LAAT of both i and c variants, 55 AT-TEs, 50 SPHA-T and 5000 tons of additional supplies. With everything ready we left the system into hyperspace with an escort of to assault variant acclamators. After a couple days travel we arrived at the planet I the middle of Anakin taking the stealth ship to the planet and I got the reports of trenches ship sending out bombers to the surface. I and the escort quickly met with Kenobi and the escorts went under his control. After delivering some medical supplies I ordered my ship forward as I knew Anakin would bomb and nearly kill trench and I wanted to make sure he was eliminated. As we approached Kenobi tried to contact us while arguing with Anakin but I ignored them both as we moved towards trenches flagship. After a few minutes the stealth ship appeared at trenches bridge and fired 4 proton torpedoes which were blocked by him using the thermal shield of his ship. Anakin quickly escaped but was followed by specialized missiles trench had fired at him. He easily led the missiles right into the bridge as the thermal shields were recharging. At the destruction of the bridge I had my ship fire multiple torpedoes right at the bridge while opening fire with every weapon we had. After the torpedoes vaporized the bridge I contacted Kenobi and told him to assault the blockade while they were in disarray. With the flagship down and Kenobi coming in a few minutes I had my ship pull back with shields at full power. Around 15 minutes later we were charging through the blockade as the fleet had cut through the middle. We blasted into the atmosphere as around 20 enemy ships fired at us, we landed on the surface so fast the ships would have still been yellow if we didn't have shields. I mobilized all of my men in setting a perimeter and sent out speeder bikes and AT-RTs to scout the area we had landed in. From initial indications we were right outside of the city in between multiple crystal tower formations. I knew that with the CIS forces controlling the planet that they would be here soon so I had my men construct multiple defensive structures and set up traps for the enemy. The crystal structures would be great for my snipers who had a few jetpacks that would allow them to perch on top or on the sides of said crystals. With the heavy weapons and advantageous defensive position we could set this up to be a perfect FOB. While organizing my troops and what they were doing I was moving towards the command post the others had set up for this place. Finally arriving at the building I took a look at the allies I would have for this planetary siege. Anakin and Obi-Wan were as was usual arguing. Captain Rex and Commander Cody were standing side by side trying to keep up with the argument as Yularen was speaking with some othe clone offices at a holotable. As I and my clone captain entered Rex and Cody saluted and the two brothers stopped arguing. Seeing us enter Yularen and the officers stepped over and we began discussing what our next move would be as we were effectively cut off from reinforcements. Answering the concerns I said "We don't have to worry about that, I sent a transmission to update Gar and the council on the situation and what we were doing and that we will likely need reinforcements in order to effectively and efficiently take this planet." They understood that this meant we would likely have backup in system in a few days at least and we would be free to begin setting up the siege of the enemy positions. Several hours later reports of droids moving towards us filtered in and I sent out more scouts to keep an eye on them along with the few flying droids I had made into remote drones. With our forces watching the enemy we could only sit an await their arrival as we couldn't attempt anything with the enemy on our doorstep. With nothing to do but train I quickly shoved Anakin and Obi-Wan into sparring with my troops to give them more experience than just me and themselves. With the free time I finally began my work on my own armor and weapons. I began by deconstructing some clone armor and adding some durasteel plating to it. My armor was much like the clone armor but was heavier with the added armor. Under my armor I wore a body sleeve and a gambeson of armorweave (Star Wars equivalent of Kevlar but more flexible) along with some other hidden tech. With my body armor finished I now had to make my boots, gloves and helmet. My gloves were done in minutes as all I had to do was adjust them to my hands and add the armor. My boots took a bit longer as I put lots of durasteel on them while trying to keep them comfortable. The helmet took the longest as I had a filter mask with an oxygen supply as well as goggles to add. The design took about an hour but it would be reliable and would not look stupid. It looked like a mando helmet but the eye visor was much more open and had no T shape. The mouth of the helmet was a square speaker for commanding effectively in a battle. On either side of the speaker were small but high quality air filter/rebreathers and an inbuilt oxygen container. With that all done I got to work on my utility belt, bag and combat cape. The cape was the easiest as it was already made via preorder on coruscant, a heavy armorweave with plasteel hexagons on the inside of the cape. The belt was easy as it was simply a recolored clone belt with some additional attachments. The bag was a small thing with emergency supplies and was secu with a complicated belt and attachment system. With my gear finished I quickly put it on and looked at myself for a minute. I knew the Jedi weren't allowed to wear armor like this but I was pretty sure I could get away with it do to being the leader of a emergency supply and spec ops battalion, it would be easier as well do to it being a space worthy suit for assault or rescue missions in space. After checking myself out I went to find the others to discuss how the defense would go. I found a bunch of 501st training with my troopers as my captain and Anakin went at it. Most of my troops were from devastated clone groups on geonosis and didn't know each other well. I had left them to choose their names and most had not chosen anything yet. I could only tell the difference in rank due to the captain having a modified vibroblade. It was clear to everyone the the captain didn't stand a chance against Anakin so 4 more troopers quickly joined the spar against him to even things out. A few minutes of them getting thrown around later Anakin and I went to look for Obi-Wan and the others. Arriving at the command building we are all stopped when a clone officer charges out the door with a frantic look on his face. Lifting him up he looks at us then pulls the door open and practically shoves us inside. Obi-Wan, Yularen and some officers are huddled around the holotable as we join them. Turn out reinforcements had arrived and were already attacking the blockade. The reinforcements number 3 Venators and 2 assault acclamators with othe support ships. We knew this would not be enough so Yularen quickly left to get all but my ship to launch into the enemies back lines. After 3 hours Yularens forces smashed through and joined the main force. Through that gap a venator sent a shuttle that we could not identify though I knew who it was. It landed in the camp and out came a cline escort and two padawans. Ashoka Tano exited first followed by Barriss Offee who from what I knew should have been under master Lumanara and her padawan. As a padawan I had met all of the masters and new a great many quite well. Master Luminara was nice but very distant. The padawans walked to us and explained that that Ashoka was now Anakins padawan and the Barriss was mine. Anakin was greatly surprised but I had anticipated this information as soon as I saw them. Something must have changed do to me and led to Barriss now being assigned to me. Obi-Wan approached from behind with a data pad from a clone and told Anakin why he had been assigned a padawan. Looking to me he said "They assigned Barriss and your padawan in hopes of helping you become less secretive and reclusive." Thinking about it it was quite fair as I was secretive and reclusive. After his word both Rex and Cody ran to us and informed us that the droids were closing in for their assault on our FOB. At that Anakin took his chance to escape and charged off with Rex in tow. Taking the chance to joke I said to Ashoka "Hurry and follow him and try not to pick up his idiocy." She gave me and Kenobi a glance and sprinted off toward Anakin and Rex. Obi-Wan gave me a light joking glare and began following Cody to the frontline to make sure Anakin didn't do anything stupid. Turning to Barriss I said "Well padawan Offee it seems we've been saddle together so I'll do my best in teaching you what I know." She gave me a smile and nod and I gestured for he to follow me as I made my way to the command center at the frontlines.
