Chapter 7 - The First Order

Thorne's body got bigger and wider. His back muscles grew to the size of an actual monster, as he said. Thorne turned around, looking straight at Wayne's eyes. The shirt and jacket Thorne was wearing ripped off, due to the tremendous size he grew. He towered Wayne, his shadow covering the whole roof. To Wayne, it looked like it was nighttime.

"Wayne, I haven't had to use this in a while, but you'll be the first to experience my true full-body essence!"

The crowd outside the town all gasped, shocked by the term "full-body essence."

"No way, it's Mr. Thorne's full-body essence! I heard every time he used that in his past, his opponent ceased to live again."

Thorne picked up rocks from the ground, forming huge boulders with them. "Wayne, you should have known the dangers of fighting me! Now, today will be the last day you'll ever live!"

Thorne launched the five boulders straight into Wayne's face, blocking his frontal view. Thorne enhanced forward with the boulders, closing the gap between the two. Then he suddenly heard a sound of crushing and breaking.

"In my previous world, I was a weakling with no purpose in life, but ever since I came into this world, I got gifted powers, enhancing my body. I felt like I had a purpose in this world. If I was the same person as before, I would've just given up by now, but I'm not. All these things just force me to keep going, so I'm sorry but, I'm not losing."

Thorne heard another breaking sound of the boulder... his eyes widened up. He was getting nervous.

The people in the secret base under Solvex, including Cyrus and Lady Stone were pissed off, as he wasn't supposed to be saying this information to anyone in Valara. But after what they heard after that, they chuckled, including Arthur in his cell.

"I'm not supposed to be telling you all this, but I am because I know I'm going to defeat you, and even better..."

Thorne could hear one more boulder break. That was the third one breaking, which means that there were only two more separating him and Wayne. Then what he heard after, sent shivers down his spine.

"You won't live to see tomorrow Thorne."

The second to last boulder broke, drastically closing the gap between the two. The crowd outside didn't know what was happening, but they sensed the presence of the darkness of Wayne, chilling all of them.

"By my own order!"

The last boulder suddenly broke, catching Thorne's eyes on Wayne, standing there, about five feet away from Thorne. He went for a brutal punch, using all his force, but, somehow, Wayne caught his punch, no reaction from Wayne, but a shocked face to everyone else in the crowd Thorne included.

"I command myself to KILL you!"

Wayne gripped Thorne's hand harder, ripping it off. Blood splattered all over Thorne and Wayne's face. Thorne closed his eyes, screaming in pain. But Wayne just stood there, holding Thorne's arm, letting all the blood soak out from it.

Wayne threw his hand into the crowd, making all of them scream in fear.

"Keep screaming. It motivates me to keep fighting without boredom."

Wayne put pressure on his right leg, smashing it into the ground, and suddenly launched forward. Thorne opened his eyes, suddenly visioning Wayne, hurdling right at him. Wayne brutally punched him right in the face, sending Thorne backward into the air.

"Get away from me kid!"

Thorne used all the strength he had left to use his earth magic and threw slabs of rock at Wayne. But Wayne used those rocks, using them to jump off each other, allowing him to get closer to Thorne.

Wayne jumped off the last slab, jumping straight towards Thorne's flying body. He landed on Thorne's huge, muscular chest, sending both of them downwards.

"What the fuck are you doing! You're gonna kill us both!" Thorne screamed at Wayne, trying to wiggle him off. But it was no use, Wayne just stood there serious and dull. Wayne had a menacing stare at Thorne, one that really scared Thorne with horror.

"Why would I stop? You're the one who said it was a mistake fighting you. It's just like I said... I'm gonna kill you."

Wayne dug his feet into Thorne's chest harder, making them fall faster. After five seconds of free fall, they both crashed into the roof of a forge. Thorne's body crashed into the ground, while Wayne was just still standing on him, with that dull look. When they landed, there was a blacksmith, hammering a sword with heat. The room was hot, filled with ash and smoke from the collision, but the blacksmith was still there, hammering the sword. He glanced up to see Wayne and Thorne, and he smirked.

"I'm almost done." The blacksmith dipped the sword in the bucket of molten lava, and quickly grabbed it.

He held the sword in his hand, walking towards Wayne. Wayne side-eyed the blacksmith, smirking. The blacksmith kneeled in front of Wayne, handing the sword to him.

"Here it is, my lord... the finest blade I have ever forged — and perhaps the last. It was wrought from pure Umbrarite, torn from the abyssal veins beneath the deadliest dungeons of Valara. I bled for this. I watched comrades vanish into the dark for this. And yet... the stone whispered your name. This sword belongs to you — to a being of power, dread, and fate. Take it… before it remembers the blood it cost me."

Wayne gracefully accepted the sword, inspecting the sword.

"Thank you, old man. I will repay you someday."

"Goodbye... Thorne."

Wayne quickly stabs Thorne in his heart, finally ending his life just like he was told by Lady Stone and The Path.

Everyone is the base in Solvex applauded at Wayne. Arthur and Cyrus laughed.

"Wow, he did it. I thought he was gonna be like the others and die first battle."

Wayne removes his sword from Thorne, proceeding to put his palm on his face as a respect towards his death and to honor the life he has had. He left the forge, catching everyone's attention towards him. The crowd rushed toward the building, checking up on Thorne, but he was no more.

Wayne walked away from the battle, trying to get out of the scene as fast as possible when he heard...

"Thorne is no more!!!!!"

Wayne smirked leaving the scene, and activated his AetherLink. He called Lady Stone and said, "Target eliminated."

Wayne inspected the new sword he had just gotten. The sword was black and shiny. Wayne saw his own reflection within the sword. It seemed powerful, but Wayne was more curious about his new power, Essence.

"So that's the power of essence huh?"

Wayne headed toward the hotel he stayed at and packed everything he needed. He saw his old sword, sitting on a chair. He looked away and left the room, returning the keys to the man in the front. He suddenly gets asked about the battle.

"Uhh excuse me sir, but were you the one who killed Mr. Thorne?"

"No, I'm not." Wayne walked away with a smirk on his face, saying goodbye to the city of Gloomsbury.

Wayne got a notification from the AetherLink. It was his next destination he needed to be, that The Path told him to be.

The Kingdom of Eldora
