The next morning, Ethan and Anna arrived at the Danger Room, where Logan and Storm were already waiting. The metallic chamber was set for high-intensity combat simulations, and today's goal was simple: Anna needed to adjust to her new Viltrumite strength.
"Are you ready for this, kid?" Logan asked with his arms crossed.
Anna cracked her knuckles,"Born ready, old man."
Logan raised an eyebrow. "We'll see about that."
Storm chuckled. "Try not to break the Danger Room too much, Anna. The repairs take time."
Anna grinned. "No promises."
The session began with basic strength tests, followed by combat drills. Ethan, Logan, and Storm took turns sparring with Anna, helping her get a feel for her enhanced speed, reflexes, and durability.

Thanks to Anna absorbing Anissa's memories and experience, she had good control of her strength. She just need to adjust to her new strength.
By the end of the session, the Danger Room floor was littered with broken machine parts, and Anna stood in the center, barely out of breath.
Storm whistled. "Well, I'd say you've adapted just fine."
Ethan patted Anna's shoulder. "Told you it'd be a quick adjustment."
Logan grumbled. "She's a pain in the ass, just like you."
Anna grinned. "Aww, you say the sweetest things, Logan."
He rolled his eyes.

Later that day, Professor X had a private discussion with Jean, Scott, and Storm.
He revealed the truth about Ethan—his Omni-Watch, his ability to travel between universes, and the accidental arrival of Anissa.
Scott looked skeptical. "So you're telling me he has some kind of multiversal tech? And that woman—Anissa—she's from a different world?"
Jean, sensing Xavier's honesty, nodded slowly. "It's… a lot to take in. But I did sense something strange about Anissa's presence."
Storm asked. "So, what's the plan? If she's stuck here, she's our problem now."
Xavier sighed. "For now, we observe. We'll determine if she poses a threat or if she can be reasoned with."
Scott huffed. "Great. Another potential disaster waiting to happen."
To distract Scott, Xavier then suggested something unexpected, "Scott, Jean, you two deserve a break. Take some time off—perhaps a honeymoon trip?"
Jean's eyes widened. "Professor, we—"
"It's my treat," Xavier assured them with a small smile. "Enjoy yourselves."
Scott and Jean exchanged glances before Scott finally sighed before shaking his head. "Well… if you insist."

Since it was the weekend, Ethan and Anna took advantage of their free time and went on a date.
Their first stop?
A horror movie.
Anna, who wasn't scared easily, rolled her eyes when Ethan clung to her arm dramatically.
"Anna, please protect me," he whispered in mock terror as a ghostly figure jump-scared on screen.
Anna smirked, whispering back, "Oh no, my big, strong Ethan is so scared… whatever will I do?"
Ethan grinned. "I dunno… maybe a kiss would help?"
Anna shoved popcorn into his mouth instead. "Nice try, lover boy."
After the movie, they walked through the city, stopping at a few shops and grabbing ice cream. Ethan teased Anna about her newfound super strength, jokingly challenging her to an arm-wrestling match at a café.
She nearly broke the table.
"Oops," she said innocently.
Ethan chuckled. "Remind me never to piss you off."
By the evening, they arrived at a normal restaurant for dinner.
The night had been perfect so far—but then something interesting happened.
After ordering their food, Ethan excused himself to the washroom.
When he returned, he saw Anna sitting at the table, smiling sweetly as she talked to a blonde guy in a leather jacket.
Ethan's eyebrow twitched.
Anna had a teasing grin, fully aware that Ethan was watching.
She leaned slightly closer to the guy. "Oh, you're so funny~."
Ethan sighed before walking up to the table. "Anna," he said casually, "who's your new friend?"
Anna turned to him and her grin widening. "Oh, Ethan! This is Johnny. He was just keeping me company while you were gone."
Johnny Storm, the future Human Torch, extended his hand. "Nice to meet ya, man. Johnny Storm."
Ethan shook his hand, instantly recognizing the name. Future member of the Fantastic Four.
'Huh. Small world.'
Johnny smirked. "Your girl's got a hell of a personality."
Ethan smirked back. "Oh, trust me, I know."
The two chatted for a bit, and despite the initial tension, Ethan found that Johnny was actually pretty fun to be around.
Realizing Johnny would be famous in the future, Ethan made sure to establish a friendly relationship. It was always good to have connections.
Eventually, Johnny waved them off with a grin. "See you around, Anna. And Ethan? Try to keep up with her, man."
Ethan chuckled. "I'll do my best."
As Johnny left, Anna nudged Ethan. "You so got jealous, didn't you?"
Ethan scoffed. "Please. I'm not the jealous type."
Anna smirked. "Sure, sure."
Ethan rolled his eyes. "Alright, fine. Maybe a little."
Anna giggled, linking her arm with his. "Good. I like keeping you on your toes."
By the time they returned to the mansion, the night was calm.
Ethan walked into his room, seeing Bobby and John already asleep.
Lying down, he stared at the ceiling while deep in thought.
His life had been… surprisingly peaceful lately without much challenge.
But something in his gut told him that wouldn't last.
Something was coming.
Anissa? The Phoenix Force? Or something else entirely?
He didn't know what is was and exhaled slowly before closing his eyes.
