"That guy again... Just looking at him gives me the creeps and that constant buzzing." Hou shivered as he saw Cang Ying standing outside seemingly waiting for him.
Before he followed Mo Huai, back to the inn to pay for the next day, he watched him. When Hou looked upon him, he saw Cang Ying move.
He turned towards Hou, then the cloak collapsed like a shedding snake. In that horrific moment, Hou saw the truth, Cang Ying was not a man transforming into flies, but a dead skin vaguely masquerading as a man.
The flies shot out the corpse, leaving the cloak and skin to sag on the floor. They flew towards Hou and then right past him, disappearing into the general atmosphere of the city.
Hou shut his eyes instinctively as the flies hit him, when he opened them all that was left was the cloak on the ground lying ownerless.
Hou quickly turned his back and ran back to Mo Huai's side,
"What was that?!"
Mo Huai looked around then swatted his hand, hitting a fly. Again, in that motion he also set up the privacy bubble,
"Don't draw attention, just act normal and speak normally."
Hou took a breath and asked again calmly,
"What was that? Did you see, Cang Ying was a massive of flies?" Hou felt insanely itchy, it should not have affected him this much but something was wrong about him.
"Do not worry, that is a false cultivator. Something must've occurred which means his laws mutated and caused him to become a flock of flies. The human consciousness in the mind of numerous flies...cannot be good. Just be careful, he seemed to have an unusual tendency towards you, you felt his vision right?"
Hou nodded,
"Even now, it feels like I'm covered in flies...it's so itchy."
"That's normal, just calm down. While he might try something, I am an Elder he cannot do anything. You shouldn't go out yourself for now while we're in Myriad Cloud."
Hou shivered and asked,
"Should we just go to the inheritance and leave?"
As they neared the inn Mo Huai concluded his thought,
"Let's do that, I have a bad feeling about Cang Ying. He seemed quite normal for his condition. Such a strong mutation must've caused some mental effects, yet he doesn't seem so. It's too dangerous..."
Mo Huai opened the door to the inn once again, by the time they had arrived it was already the afternoon and Xiao Ye was at the reception.
Once the two stepped in she jolted up and smiled again, but then she saw Hou, Daizi. He was pale and had a scuffed attire. While the healing pad healed his wounds, without undoing and redoing the transformation ring the clothes remained scuffed.
Xiao Ye's smile died and her hands clenched into fists, she became red naturally no Red Heat Flush technique involved,
"Young master,"
She took a deep breath before taking it out on a customer and unclenched her fists, she then continued and turned to Hou first,
"Did anything happen, if you got into a fight the guards can find the person for you, let me speak to your master. You, young master, you should have used your money and made sure this never happened!" Xiao Ye first showed affection to Hou but then quickly berated Mo Huai the most she could before being overly rude.
A servant is the master responsibility to keep safe. If one can't protect their servant, who is not a fighter, then they do not deserve them.
"Daizi, you go to out room, I'll explain this" Mo Huai smiled to Hou as he turned to Xiao Ye and tried to explain the situation, without revealing too much.
Hou nodded and understood Mo Haui's intentions, he waved to Xiao Ye before heading back to their room, room six.
He sat on his bed and meditated, trying to look at his laws. Since the technique he used was external, he realised that his spirit stone was severely cracked, and the amounts of laws inside were severely reduced.
'This really shows my need for a real Spirit Stone Soul... I guess I should rely on the sun, sword and flight for now.
However, when Hou was mediating he realised he had some more laws. He knew about the other laws, but he found some new ones.
Outside of his spirit stones, within the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique, the dark galaxy-like atmosphere had an intangible force swimming through it, distorting the space inside.
'Is that...a dragon?'
He recognised the movement of a dragon through the air, and saw it in the force moving through his body,
'Is this what Hou was speaking of? That by improving my knowledge and experience, I'll be able to find new laws. Is this from my Space Dragon Imitation: Domain Teleportation move? Or was it from those fire fists that Shou used? Was I absorbing, or creating, these dragon laws? Are they safe without the Spirit Stone Soul?!'
That was when Yue emerged from within the Celestial Ink, giving his thoughts,
"It may be due to the accumulation of different dragon experiences, the dragon mental energy move of Fatty Kuang, the Heavenly Space Dragon, and the two you mentioned. Via these multiple experiences, you gained the ability to notice the dragon laws. And you have them due to these experiences and techniques."
"I see, that would make sense, I'll have to ask Mo Huai about it later."
"Good option. Rely on your various masters, one cannot be alone in this world. However, no that you have said that, I need to tell you something important... Those Flies which Cang Ying appeared to be, they tried to take your body over, influencing you."
"Take me over, what should I do?!"
"Don't worry, I solved it. It just so happened what he did was useless with the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique. Those flies that flew past you, some buried into you and they contained Cang Yong's consciousness. Unluckily for him, I could absorb his consciousness to heal the Celestial Ink!"
"So we killed two birds with one stone? We healed the Celestial Ink some while also being protected from that dastardly Cang Ying!"
"Indeed, a big win. But that is not all, since I have absorbed his shattered consciousness I gained some information. The flies were told to guide you to a place called 'Rotten Sewer District', I'll add it to your map. If we encounter him again, we can make use of him and heal the Celestial Ink even more!"
"But what effects does healing the Celestial Ink have?"
"If you pay attention, you might be able to sense it, you will have an enhanced law amplification. This will even help in mediation. Try absorbing cognition laws, from my understanding there should be various free ones created by the people in the inn thinking,"
"I will try, that does make sense. Like Mo Huai said, the thoughts can influence the laws around. Like fire creates fire laws, thinking creates cognition laws. And that'll help me regenerate my mental energy! Thank you master for helping!"
Hou stopped thinking about the Rotten Sewer District, and instead he begun his cultivation. He used mental energy and intuition to detect cognition laws, as soon as he recognised them he saw it all around.
He used mental energy and sucked the laws into himself, using them instantly rather than absorbing. In theory, this was just like false cultivation, bypassing the use of spirit stones.
The cognition laws were drawn in and Hou could feel it. His mental energy restored despite him using it to draw in the cognition laws. He then felt he could have no more energy, his consciousness was straining.
"It worked! Master Yue, it really worked, thank you! Now with that extra mental energy though, I just thought of a problem... I asked Mo Huai to do the inheritance now."
"Don't fret, Rotten Sewer District is near someplace else, trick Mo Huai into taking you there before you leave. Even being close enough, Cang Ying might be tempted to act!"
