The girl was shocked with the shout that the bald guy made. "I'm sorry Mister bal- I mean mister. I didn't mean to say it that way." The girl apologize. When the bald guy saw the pitiful appearance of the girl, he laughed "Don't worry about it! Are lost little girl? This is the deepest part of this dungeon. Don't tell me your a refugee escape from the war?" Clyde asked. "The girl feign ignorance and nodded. "I see, your lucky that you were able to come this far without being hunted by the wild beast here. Tell you want, why don't you come us. Since we already finished our quest, we will go back to the town tomorrow. How about it?" Clyde offered the girl to come with them. The girl pretend to hesitate and nodded. Clyde laugh and Elise smiled as she took some clothing and have the girl wear it.
As they are camping in the woods, Clyde ask the girl about her background. Base on the girl's memory, the name of the owner was Daisy Godfield. It was coincidental that owner of his body has the same surname as she has. She explain that she was part of a noble family in the Kingdom but with the ongoing war, their family was ransacked by the duke and killed her family and she was the only survivor.
When they heard the story of the girl, they can't help but sympathize with the girl. Elise hug the little girl to comfort her, the girl was only arpund 15 or 16 years of age and already experience the cruelty of war. They tried to cheer up the girl by having a very good dinner and tell her some of their adventures through out their career. The party didn't notice that it was already deep in the night and took the girl inside the tent to rest while they took turns on guard duty.
In the morning, they are preparing to go back to the town. Since Clyde wqs injured due to the battle with the shadowtooth leapard, Kido and Elise lead the party and took turns doing advance scouting. If there is a chance, they will hunt some wild beast amd pick up herbs along the way for additional profit. In night time, they will always make sure to accompany 'Daisy' and tell her stories till deep in the night. This happena for the next two days of their trekking back to the dungeon entrance and on the third day, they are now seeing some other adventurers meaning they are close to the entrance.
On the fourth day, they reach the entrance and with a great inhale "EXIT ATLAST!!" Clyde shouted while laughing. They were able to finish their quest with no casualty. Even though he was badly injured, he was thankful that his party is complete. "First, let's head to the townhall to submit our quest then let's go find a doctor, my arms are killing me!" Clyde said.
When they arrived at the townhall, they went to the receptionist and submitted the quest. "Congratulations Mr. Clyde! With the success of this quest, here's your reward 1,200 Silvers. For the parts of the shadowtooth leapard, the townhall is willing to purchase them at premium which is for 3000 Silvers, is this an agreeable price for you Mr. Clyde?" He nodded and instruct Kido to passed on the materials to the receptionist. "We have received the materials and here's the payment. Also, another good news for you Mr. Clyde. Since your party was able to subdue the shadowtooth leapard, our townhall mayor decided that if you accomplish a Rank D quest or two Rank E quest, your party will be eligible for a rank up exam and increase your party rank from rank D to Rank C." The receptionist explained. When Clyde and his party heard what the receptionist said, their eyes lit up hence they thank the receptionist and move to the side. "Kido and Vince, I want you to stay in the townhall to check if there are any suitable quest that we can do. I want to play it safe for now, pick two Rank E quest that we can accept and once you find one, let me know immediately. Me and Elise, we will be going to the clinic together with Daisy." Kido and Vince nodded and they go to the quest board to check if there is any suitable quest. Clyde, Elise and Daisy immediately went to a doctor to treat Clyde's injury.
After walking through the town plaza, they arrived at the Waning Moon Clinic. There, they saw a long line as the Clinic is really famous in the town since it houses the miraculous doctor, Doctor Selene. Beside being the best doctor in the Moon Drive Town, she is also one of the top beauty in town hence sometimes she was being preferred as Goddess Selene.
After waiting for a few hours, it was their turn. "Hello adventurers, I'm Doctor Selene and I will be the one who will assist you today. Telle, what seems to be the problem?" Selene greeted Clyde "It's not really a big deal Ms. Selene, just some bruises amd broken arms, can you please help me treat them." Clyde laugh shyly. Selene smiles and put her hands on top of the injured arm of Clyde "Examine!" After casting the spell, a lot of information was loaded in her mind and after a few minutes, she open her eyes "Mr Clyde, I have a good news and Bad news for you. Which one would you like to hear?" Selene said.
"Can you tell me the good news first?" Clyde asked. Selene nodded "The good news is that even though your bones has been broken into small fragments, we can still treat you and you would be able to make a full recovery after 3 months of rest." Clyded nodded when he heard what doctor Selene said "what about the bad news?" Selene took a deep breath and said "you... You may need to retire from being an adventurer."
