When Clyde heard the news, his face was blank but Elise, she was shocked from this and can't help to tear up. For a very long time, Elise have feelings for Clyde however Clyde was full of vigor and only adventures occupied his mind. Clyde's dream is to be a Rank A adventurer so Elise set aside her feelings for Clyde and help him achieve this goal. With that in mind, she was able to recruit Vince and Kido to the party forming Iron Sun Party.
Although everyday, they struggle at first, as a rookie party, that is part of the experience. As they say, you won't grow without experiencing hardships. Before they knew it, 3 years have already past and their party can now rank up to rank C and after that would be Rank B and lastly, our goal, to be a Rank A party. After hearing what the doctor said, she can't help but tear up and feel broken hearted.
Clyde face was blank when he heard the doctor and after a few minutes, he speaks "then please doctor, do what you can." Clyde just smile after saying that. Selene nodded and put her hands on top of his arms and start to cast a spell "Recovery!" White light covered the arms of Clyde. He can feel that the bones in his arms are trying to reconstruct themselves and after a few minutes Selene stop and put a Bandage cast on Clyde's Arm "All done! Please have your arm rest for a good full week and after that, please come back to our clinic so that we can have a follow up check up on your arms." Selene explained.
After saying their goodbye to doctor Selene, they exit the clinic and Clyde instruct Elise to fetch Kido and Vince and meet up at the Inn. Elise didn't say anything and just make her way to the town hall together with Daisy. After they left, Clyde walks in dark quiet alleyway and there he crumbles. "All of that hardwork for 3 years, down the drain. ARGH!!!!!" Clyde cried his heart out that night in that alleyway. After bawling for a couple of minutes, he wipes her tears and snot and make his way to the inn.
At the Inn, Kido, Vince, Elise, Daisy and Clyde is sitting in the hidden corner of the diner. A heavy atmosphere is lingering, only mean that Elise already let Kido and Vince what happen. With this atmosphere, Clyde was about to speak but cut off by Kido "Captain! Whatever your decision is, I, Kido will follow you! I owe you my life. If You and Ms. Elise was not recruiting at that time, I don't know where I am right now!" Vince nodded "I couldn't agree more with Kido. I'm just a lowly scholar at that time and without this party, maybe i am still just a naive scholar." Elise and Clyde can't help but moved by the their party member's sentiment. Elise look at Clyde and Clyde look at Elise then Elise said "Whatever you wanna do Clyde! We'll support you!" Elise hold Clyde's hands.
With the sentiments of his party members and Elise, a warm feeling rose in his heart then laugh "Hahaha! It's just an arm, I still have another one! Although I won't be able to use a shield, I can still swing my Axe!" With their spirit lit up Clyde continues "Now, we celebrate! Order whatever you like! It's on me!" Clyde grinned "no take backs!" The party said in unison! In the midst of ups and downs of this party, 'Daisy' seems to think of something and just smiles looking at the party. "How are they doing right now?" She murmured.
As they are celebrating at the Inn, Clyde didn't forget to assign some task to them while he recovers "Kido, I would you to do some Rank G or Rank F quest that is easy to finish so that we have reserves once we take on a rank D or rank E quest." Kido agreed "I'll use this chance to hone my skills as well captain thank you." Clyde nodded and look at Vince "Vince, I want you to go to the Magi's Observatory and learn some basic control spells since I won't be able to act as a tank anymore." Vince nodded and lastly he look at Elise "Elise, I want you to gather some information together with Daisy at the Inns, taverns and at the townhall. Especially, information about cultivators that cultivate their body instead of their spirit." Elise thought for a moment and suddenly her eyes lit up and look at Clyde with eagerness and Clyde just nodded at her.
With task assigned to each of his party members, they continue their celebration until deep in the night and went on their own rooms. In Clyde's room, Clyde is just sitting on his bed contemplating what he will do for now while waiting his left arm to heal. After thinking for a while, he took his axe and decided to swing it a hundred times "1...2...3...4..." As he swing his axe, sweat started to appear on his forehead. After an hour of swinging "96...97...98...99...100! Phew! I need to keep this up until the next check up six days later. Hopefully, it would recover by then." Clyde set aside his axe and prepare to sleep.
In the following six days, Kido fulfilled 5 rank F quest and 10 rank G quest acquiring a total of 1,120 Silvers and Vince was able to learn a binding spell and an auxiliary spell at the Magi's Observatory. Clyde also continuously exercised his body with an addition of the hundred swings, he also did a hundred one hand push ups and 10 kilometer run. As for Elise, she and Daisy already scour the whole Moondrive Town however all of the Cultivator that they found is a spirit cultivator and not a body cultivator. Feeling dejected, she decided to go to that kind mysterious shopkeep that Lamar introduced them to and try her luck.
