Two days after the capital fell, the world was still adjusting to the new reality.
The streets that were once filled with human soldiers were now controlled by goblins.
In the main square, a new flag was flying.
Black, with the symbol of a grinning goblin skull.
Inside the palace, Reed sat on his throne.
His eyes were fixed on the report in his hand.
Shia stood beside him.
"The latest report. The city is completely under our control."
Reed nodded.
"What about the remaining nobles?"
Shia smiled faintly.
"Some submitted. Some tried to betray."
She threw a piece of cloth on the floor.
Inside was the head of a noble.
Reed smiled.
"Good. Let this be a warning."
The nobles were used to betraying.
But now, they couldn't just do it.
The capital could not be left in ruins.
Reed knew that a kingdom needed stability.
And he could not rely on goblins alone.
"What about the common people?" he asked.
A goblin scout reported.
"They are afraid, but they are not fighting back. Some have even started working as usual."
Reed smiled faintly.
Good.
Fear is a weapon more powerful than chains.
If they are afraid of him, they will work without being forced.
But fear alone was not enough.
He needed something more.
"Give them food."
The goblins in the room were shocked.
Shia looked at him curiously.
"Food? For humans?"
Reed nodded.
"If they are hungry, they will rebel. If they are full, they will work."
The other goblins looked still skeptical.
But Shia smiled.
She understood.
Reed was not just a monster.
He was not just a killer.
He is a leader.
That night, in the throne room, Reed gathered the leaders of the army.
Before him, several powerful goblins knelt.
They were no ordinary goblins.
They were Goblin Generals.
Of all the goblins born of the system, only a few were strong enough to rise to this position.
"We control this city," Reed said. "But the world will not stand still."
One of the generals nodded.
"Other human kingdoms might attack us."
Reed smiled.
"Not likely. But certain."
They had already destroyed one kingdom.
But there were many more out there.
And they would surely react.
Shia approached the large map in the center of the room.
"We should move first."
She pointed to an area to the north.
"There's a small kingdom here. They don't have many troops. If we attack first, we can overwhelm them before they react."
Reed studied the map.
"What's their population?"
"About 50,000."
Reed thought for a moment.
His goblin army had indeed grown since this victory.
But he needed more power.
"We need to strengthen our forces," he said.
He looked at the system.
And the system answered him.
DING!
⸻
[Slaughter System Activated!]
[Power Level: Goblin King]
[New Option Available: Troop Mutation]
⸻
Reed's eyes flashed.
"Interesting."
The system gave him a new option.
Troop Mutation.
This meant he could strengthen his goblins.
Without hesitation, he opened a new menu.
Inside, there were several options:
1. Goblin Warrior → Hobgoblin (Increases physical strength)
2. Goblin Mage → Goblin Shaman (Increases magic power)
3. Goblin Scout → Shadow Goblin (Increases speed and stealth)
Reed smiled broadly.
"Good. With this, we are ready for the next war."
The next morning, the mutation ritual began.
In the main field, thousands of goblins gathered.
In front of them, Reed stood on a podium.
"Today, we become stronger."
He raised his hand.
The system glowed.
⸻
[Troop Mutation Activation!]
[Targeted Number: 3000 Goblins]
⸻
A green light enveloped the goblins.
Their bodies began to change.
Some became larger and stronger.
They were Hobgoblins.
Some radiated a magical aura.
They were Goblin Shamans.
And some disappeared from sight instantly.
They were Shadow Goblins.
The goblin army was no longer an ordinary army.
They had evolved.
And with this army…
Reed would conquer the world.
As night fell, Reed stood atop the tallest tower.
In the distance, he could see the next kingdom.
He could feel their fear.
They knew he was coming.
And there was nothing they could do to stop him.
Shia stood beside him.
"When do we start?"
Reed smiled.
"Tomorrow."
His eyes flashed sharply.
"Tomorrow we attack."
