''Father! Dad? Father!'' King Alric stood over his father in shock, staring down at the dead man.
He was stupefied.
''Uncle Aeron! General!'' King Alric hurried out of his father's chambers, searching for help.
Soon some junior guards caught up with Alric and listened to him tell them that his father was dead.
''The King?!!!'' Three guards exclaimed at the same time.
King Alric was taken aback at first;
''Yes, the King. He's dead,'' he answered meekly, close to tears.
The guards left King Alric and hurried into King Adolphus' chambers. Alric could hear them murmuring, surprised at the sudden death of Adolphus.
A few seconds later, one of the servants hurried out of the chambers, and then hurried back with General Aeron.
''Uncle Aeron!'' Tears were already damaging King Alric's eyes at that point.
''What's going on?'' General Aeron asked.
