Chapter 16 - [Chapter —16][Bonus]

[—Due to your Neutral Evil Nature, you've completed the following hidden mission.]

[—Mission - A bond of life, broken.

—Description - You have possibly broken a bond formed at the first moments of life that should have ended as such.

—Rewards - The Dice of Fate.]

'Huh?' He thought, his eyes widening as he stared at the screen in surprise.

' There are hidden missions?'

Immediately as that settled in, he grinned, happy at the new avenue of power and for completing his second mission even if he didn't know it even existed.

Though the reward was kinda intriguing, it being only one reward too made him a bit sulky until he opened the items description.

[—The Dice Of Fate - A 100 Sided dice, rolling this dice before an action is done will make it so the dice dictates the results of said action. This can make it so if you roll on the lower spectrum like a nat'1 then that action will fail tremendously, but rolling a Crit'100 will have it so the said action you undertake will succeed beyond your expectations or capabilities in a way that bends reality to your favour. This item is soul bound.

—The Die has 3 uses per day, refreshing at midnight always and no use can be carried over to the next day.

-Only you can see the dice, and to call it out and into your soul simply will it to happen.

—Rolling specifications - Rolling below 35 means that action fails but depending on how low that dice is rolled will have different levels of failure.

- Rolling 35 and higher means that action succeeds but depending on how high that dice is rolled will also have different levels of success.]

[— Author Note - The Dice roll will be random, not scripted, I'll roll a die in real life and write out the resulting consequences.]

' Did I just gain a fucking DnD type of item?' He wondered, perplexed but inside his mind was already making conclusions and plans on how he could abuse this thing.

But the fact that the dice was dictated by chance made each idea he had null, for now.

Quickly though he willed the die out of his soul, the action coming almost instinctualy to him.

He watched as a translucent die appeared in his right hand.

He grinned, staring at its beautiful luster made him almost throw the die there and then but he held himself back.

He wasn't about to undertake any action yet, so he waited as the car stopped and he looked outside the window to see Allison's house.

There and then he had an idea.

He didn't wait for his brother to tell him to stay in the car and wait for him, he opened the car door and walked out.

"Wai-" He didn't let Scott finish whatever he had been about to bark out as he closed the door and made way for the door.

This was technically an action, he was about to probably meet one of the Argents besides Allison.

So with a mental tug, he commanded.

' Roll.'

And with that order he watched as the die jumped out of his hand and rolled in the air as if it were a platform of some kind.

Then slowly it bounced around and landed, so with batted breath he was presented with the results.

[—You have Rolled - 91 | High Success!]

And then everything seemed to slow down, focus and clear in his perception.

As if possessed he walked up to the door, he didn't miss the fact that he seemed to have passed some sort of bubble made out of magic, but he ignored that after using his [Genius Comprehension] to understand the said phenomenon.

He got to the front door and pressed the door bell right as Scott managed to get besides him looking not too happy.

He on the other hand wore an easygoing smile, apprehension and the slight fear he had been feeling moments ago having faded away as if they never existed.

" What are you doi-" Scott muttered soft and angrily before he stopped as the door half-opened, and on the other side was Mr argent himself scowling at us.

" Mr Argent, I presume?" He muttered without a blink." I can see where your daughter got her looks."

Inside he was cringing at his words, but another part of him had taken control and he was just going with the flow feeding him information on how this particular sentence would garner him the most results.

And colour him suprised, he broke a smirk at that as he actually smirked.

" And I see how you managed to garner my daughter's interest." He said, clearly focusing on me and not his brother who did a great job at confining his emotions." Allison is getting ready, but you're welcome to come in?"

At that he gave a greatful smile as he entered as Mr Argent opened up the door, following bedsides him as they stayed by the door after it had closed.

" Scott, I've heard a lot about you from my daughter." Argent said, this time though he was able to hear the tone he said it.

He regarded Scott a lot stranger than when he had talked to him.

He acted as if he didn't recognise that though, already on high alert at being in enemy ground's even if he wasn't an enemy of the hunters, yet.

But be as it may, he was still on high alert as his [Acting] led him through the entire ordeal only unlike most times he felt something more leading alongside it.

" Hopefully she only speak good things about me, sir." Scott replied, trying his best to look calm and failing greatly from the nervousness.

" We'll see." Mr Argent replied, a vague reply as he looked at his brother way more appraisingly.

" Scott!" Allison's voice echoed as she came running down the stairs quickly wearing a leather jacket.

Quickly though her eyes strayed from Scott to him, her eyes widened for a bit as she looked at both of us a bit confused.

" Markus? I didn't know you were also coming." She said looking at him, completely forgetting the boy next to him.

" Well, you did insist that I go to Lydia's party." He told her with a shrugg." This way, I don't have to go by foot."

" A smart decision, it's dangerous outside at this time." Mr Argent commented with a smile before looking back at his daughter." Allison, I trust that you'll also be careful."

" Of course, I'm not that helpless." Allison told her dad with a pouted sigh.

" I know you're not, but you can never be too careful." Mr Argent said as his eyes stole a glance at Scott before returning to his daughter." Now be careful and don't come back late."

With that Allison's Dad walked away into the kitchen area.

He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that, though he didn't miss the weight that he carried when looking at Scott as if distrusting the teen wolf.

" So? Should we get going?" Allison asked staring at both boys a bit unsure.

Seeing this he simply just rolled his eyes with a smirk that went unseen by the two all the while he focused on the screen that suddenly appeared before him.
