"Alright Ms Seong, It seems like all your paperwork and documents are in order. Within your recent health check-up as well as eye examination it seems like your condition has neither deteriorated any further nor gotten better" The middle-aged Doctor states as he adjusts himself in his chair.
The man looked like any regular middle-aged Doctor with his standard uniform and coat, he pushed back his glasses and read through the different files.
"What good is that news if she still can't see?" Johan hisses out from his spot beside his mother, fiercely glaring at the Doctor who merely smiles in return, causing the frustration from the brunette to build even further.
"I understand your frustrations over your mother's condition but until she moves up in the list we can't perform her surgery" The man mentions but Johan could only heave out another sigh.
"What about the money that I gave you? Shouldn't that have been enough to pay for her surgery? What was the point in me paying you any of that if she's still going to just be lying around in a hospital bed all day long?" Johan fires out and the Doctor fixes his tie before smoothing his coat and tilting his badge until it is straight.
'Dr Kwan'
'Head of Ophthalmology'
"The money you paid us went towards paying for your hospital room and the medication she's been receiving as well as her rehab. As you know there are plenty of people who require the services of the hospital and having a fixed room or bed can be hard to get a hold of. It is also quite expensive, especially for people without the luxury of health insurance" Dr Kwan explains in a steady voice, fixing the two Seongs with an empathetic stare. "As I said, your frustrations are warranted but seeing as you hadn't been able to keep up the payments previously we used the money to clear you of any debt you might have owed. The fact that we allowed your mother to stay in the hospital even with your financial situation is merely us showing you good faith. To ask for us to push up the list would be unethical" The man rambles on and Johan clenches his jaw.
"Oh sweetheart it's okay, I can wait a little longer" Johan's mother states sweetly. "Doctor, It's alright. I know that there are people in worse condition than I am. If my condition isn't of too much concern from a medical standpoint then I'm fine with waiting. Good things come to those who wait, after all," She preaches and Johan could only deflate.
"But…" There was nothing else he could argue so he turned to the third person that was sitting by his mother's side.
Daniel clears his throat, swiping loose hair from his eyes before adjusting the glasses that he is wearing.
"Dr Kwan, is it alright if I ask a few questions? I just wanted to clear up on a few things" Daniel asks with a small smile.
"Of course Mr…I don't believe I've met you with the Seongs before" The Doctor turns to the younger man who merely nods.
"Yes, you haven't. My name is David and I'm Johan's cousin" Daniel introduces before getting to business. "May I ask, What is the average waiting time before an individual can receive this specific surgery?" He questions and the Doctor pauses momentarily before responding carefully.
"Depending on the condition, technicality, urgency and list of people it can range anywhere between 6 to 12 months" Doctor Kwan replies and Daniel narrows his eyes.
"And how long has Auntie Seong been on this list?" He continues to question.
Doctor Kwan's jaw muscle spasms before he starts to respond, selecting his words with precision.
"Roughly three years at this point but for the majority of her first year and a half we focused on her rehabilitation and therapy sessions. Her condition and well-being back then weren't suitable for the surgery and it would have been more detrimental to her state than positive" The older man explains Daniel could see the logic behind it and he would have completely believed him had the man had a better poker face.
The disgust was present as he spat the words rehabilitation and therapy. As if the woman being a previous drug addict had been her fault despite knowing her backstory.
"That leaves the last year and a half, that still goes beyond the 12-month wait limit you stated previously" Daniel remarks, pretending to be confused by the topic.
Dr Kwon coughs to clear his throat.
"Well you see there were several well-being tests that we did on Mrs Seong and each time we determined that she was unready for the surgery, furthermore there have been cases where more critical patients have needed the surgery before her. Her condition and case, seeing as it has been stagnant and hasn't gotten worse, hasn't required our immediate attention" Daniel couldn't help but sour at the explanation.
All he heard were words that were dragging out the situation.
"If her condition isn't critical or hasn't gotten better wouldn't it be in the best interest of everyone to do the surgery so that she isn't just sitting and waiting in a hospital for all this time? Isn't it counterproductive for her to just waste away in a room all by herself as you milk her family for all the money they have?" Daniel accuses and this time Doctor Kwon's expression grows cold.
"What exactly are you implying?" He retorts, voice growing agitated.
"I'm saying that there's more to this isn't there?" Daniel hisses as Mrs Seong who had been informed by Johan that Daniel would be sitting in with them to help with their situation but hadn't known the extent of his efforts was shocked by the words being said.
"W-what's going on here? Johan, what does he mean?" Mrs Seong voices softly, her hold on her son tightening as Johan hushes her.
The Doctor frowns.
"You're insinuating that we haven't been putting Mrs Seong's best interests first, is that it? I can understand that the entire situation is frustrating but there is only so much that we as a hospital can do. We are understaffed and underfunded and the number of patients continues to grow with each passing day. We are doing our best and Mrs Seong understands that" The man specifically directs his last phrase to the woman who looked flustered to be addressed.
"Except her best interests have been far away from your minds and the only thing you people see when you look at her is her faults" Daniel scoffs and the man pauses.
The two Doctors were at a standstill, one too stubborn to back down and the other attempting to deflect no matter what.
"Johan, why don't you take Aunty Seong out whilst I have a short chat with Doctor Kwon here" Daniel smiles at the brunette who looks lost, eventually he nods and leads his mother out of the room. Once alone, Daniel turned back to the man who had lost his gentle smile and was instead staring passively back at Daniel.
"You're not her nephew, are you?" He questions and Daniel shrugs.
"What makes you question whether or not I am?" He hums out and the man lets out a humourless hug.
"Seeing as I've never heard or seen you until now it wouldn't be preposterous that you're a fake" The man's smile turns dangerous. "Although I'd be lying if I said that I hadn't seen you before, Miracle Doctor"
Daniel should have known that the man would know who he was. Even with his glasses on he hadn't changed much else of his appearance, and with his apparent increase in fame ever since he joined the CC there were bound to be lots of people who recognised him. Not that he was trying to hide who he was, he was only wearing his prescription glasses simply because he had forgotten his contacts that morning.
"So, did SNMC send you here to scout us out? Send you here to try and find dirt to ruin us?" The man interrogates and Daniel laughs.
The suggestion that Daniel was here to destroy another Hospital for the sake of competition was far too absurd for him to keep quiet. He didn't need to destroy them, not when they were doing it to themselves by treating their patients as they were.
"I'm not here to ruin you or whatever you think it is" Daniel starts plainly. "I'm only here on behalf of a friend to make sure that his mother is receiving the best medical care possible" He answers but the man doesn't seem satisfied with the words.
"You, the prodigal nephew of Jinyoung Park, the one who is beloved by many, has taken the time to do charity work for a friend?" Doctor Kwon's words were disbelieving and soon enough he's wheezing out a laugh, clutching his chest as he throws his head back. "You and your family are not that charitable, heaven knows that Jinyoung is a selfishly obstinate bastard who achieved everything in life due to nepotism and wouldn't dare to do something like this for someone so…less and I'm sure he taught you the same value seeing as you followed in his footsteps" The man states and Daniel bristles in anger.
Yes, Uncle Jinyoung had the hospital given to him and yes he may be scary and occasionally a little headstrong but he would never treat any patient or person in need as an object to fill his pocket. He worked selflessly, built programs to support families without medical or health care, funded even more events and initiatives to support young Doctors and donated to more charities and foundations than he needed to. Jinyoung Park was a Doctor of the people no matter how many arguments he got into against other professionals and individuals. He has since proven that he deserves his title and position, and he earned the people's respect.
"I'm unsure about your preconceptions about my uncle but he is not that type of man" Daniel growls out, hackles rising as he sits up straighter whilst keeping his hands on his lap, grasping intensely onto his pants. "But judging by your words I'm going to assume that you have similar views to what you just stated. People who are less? Patients are patients no matter who they are, if they need your help then you should provide it, that is your duty as a Doctor" He hisses as the man rolls his eyes and leans back into his chair.
"Trust me Doctor, I, along with everyone else at this hospital perform our duty but don't you agree that there are some people who are beyond help? Beyond using our resources? I didn't lie when I said that there is an overflow of patients but you of all people should understand that some of them don't deserve our help" The man states haughtily and Daniel could only feel his anger grow with each passing word.
"What exactly do you mean by that?" Daniel seethes.
"Oh you know, individuals who come in here after committing heinous acts of violence, aggressive individuals who take it out on our staff, repeat drug users who come in and out like the lost cases that they are. I'd pity them if I hadn't seen their cases hundreds of times in my time working here. They come here on an overdose or after a bad high, we help them, they thank us or don't half the time and leave only to come back again, it's pathetic. Why should we be spending resources on people who repeatedly do this to themselves when we can spend time on other patients who are more valuable to society? The government clearly doesn't pay us enough to care for them for wastesand wastes our resources and time on them, much less have programs that help them, so clearly that sort of population is unwanted" The man's lips turn into a disgusted sneer. "It's better that those sorts of people die" He huffs out in a tone of finality.
Daniel slams his palm against the desk, startling the other man.
"That isn't something that you or the hospital can decide. As Doctors, we've sworn the Hippocratic oath to not cause harm or hurt! To live an exemplary personal and professional life. What you're doing, what this entire hospital is potentially doing to other patients, it's going against our code of ethics" Daniel stresses out the words, shaking his head in frustration. "Your personal opinion on whether or not you should help someone based on their social circumstance or them as a person is an act of professional misconduct" Daniel couldn't help but stand up from his chair, knocking the object over as he did so.
"If they're a criminal, if they have committed a crime or they're a drug addict it is not in your right to judge them and prevent them from attaining medical help. It is the police and law enforcers' job to handle those aspects of the individual's life but you as a Doctor cannot do what you have done!" Daniel throws his hands up, glaring down at Doctor Kwon with a vicious snarl. "Mrs Seong does NOT deserve what you have done to her! You should not be emotionally involved in this, you are not ALLOWED to be making decisions based on your emotions or personal close-minded opinions that do not relate to medical practice! She didn't become a drug addict just for the hell of it, she was heavily manipulated and coerced by a cult! A cult that was busted several years ago! She has been sober ever since she was taken from that place, has showcased that she has recovered and is ready for surgery to get her sight back so she can continue her life and support her only child as a single mother"
The single mother with a child part hit a little too close to home for Daniel. He has seen first-hand how much of a struggle it is, he has seen the stigma from people who didn't even know his mother gave her. They were poor and in need of help, of support, and people instead of doing that merely turned their backs on them.
"YOU don't get to pass judgment down on her for what happened, she has already suffered and been through enough. Her life has already been punished and it is through our duty and moral obligations that we should help people like her. Do not turn them away or worse lie to their faces about helping them so you can take as much away from them as possible. You DO NOT kick a horse whilst it is DOWN! And you certainly do not shove a person into the dirt whilst they are already on the floor!" Daniel grits out.
Doctor Kwon's face was frozen in fury at being screamed at but there was a moment of clarity in his eyes. Daniel breathes heavily in his spot before he shuts his eyes and turns away. Doctor Kwon on the other hand takes the moment to collect himself, unsure of how to respond after the heated moment.
"You talk about me not acting on my emotions, not letting my emotions lead me when you're nothing but a hypocrite. This, this whole thing, everything you've said is led by emotions" Doctor Kwon states and Daniel falters. "You think you're living the high and mighty road, talking the way you do, thinking you're better than the rest of us when in reality you and your uncle are just like the rest of us. Human" The man snorts, shaking his head as he stares dead into Daniel's eyes.
This confrontation, this realisation, Daniel didn't think he could find himself stunned in a situation where he was the one confronting a Doctor who was committing malpractice. It was almost laughable, given the differing perspectives and values they both had. Doctor Kwon thought a certain way, wanted addicts and bad people to die or suffer and he went about it the only way he knew how, breaking his code and ethics for what he thought was right when he KNOWS it isn't. As for Daniel, he was willing to go above and beyond for the people he cared about, for his patients, so that they received the best medical care possible even if it meant hurting him.
Being a Doctor means being partial and measurable. Not making decisions based on emotions, to not becoming attached. It was probably one of the hardest things anyone could be asked to do. Being asked to not care too much. And yet it wasn't possible, to withhold your own opinion, your own bias and emotions, the only plausible thing was for the person to become aware of their standings. Only then could they limit themselves and become as partial as possible.
"Transfer Mrs Seong to SNMC" Daniel snaps out as he turns back to the man, speaking in a calmer tone.
"Excuse me?" Doctor Kwon grunts out in disbelief.
"If this hospital won't help her then transfer her to SNMC. She doesn't need to stay in such a disappointing hospital surrounded by such close-minded people" Daniel collects himself. "Have it done by the end of the week or else I will have this hospital shut down" He threatens and the man's eyes widen.
"Y-you can't do that! Do you think that shutting us down will fix everything?! It'll only displace the hundreds of patients that we are helping, it will destroy the lives of all the employees in this place! The community will be in ruin!" The man hisses, standing up in his chair only to draw back in fear at the cold look the younger was giving him.
"But I could, starting with a report of the incident with Mrs Seong, if there are others then they could also share their stories. Even if this becomes a court case the chances of this hospital being shut down are very low but it doesn't mean that a Doctor like you won't be weeded out" Daniel steps closer to the desk and Doctor Kwon backs away. "If you refuse to transfer Mrs Seong I will make it my life's mission to ensure that you won't ever be able to find another job" Daniel snarls and the man trembles in fear.
The older man had never felt such fear before, the intense pressure that was radiating from Daniel Park alone was suffocating. His anger wasn't explosive anymore, instead, it had turned to ice, something so cold that it burned. In that moment a memory resurfaces in Kwon's mind, one that was from decades ago when he was nothing more than a resident who had been with his attending before they had gotten chewed out by someone. An image of the same eyes that had been laced with passion and fury, similar words rung through his mind and finally the image of that attending having been fired. Kwon had never seen the man since.
"A-alright, I'll do it. I'll transfer her to your hospital but please, please don't report me. I swear I'll do better, I'll be better, please" Kwon gasps out before he could even think.
Daniel Park blinks passively before nodding yet disbelieving in the words.
"If I find out that you or another person from this hospital ever dares to commit malpractice like this again I will make sure that your lives in the medical world end permanently" The young man turns around, heading to the door to leave but not before uttering one last word. "Scumbag" he spat out and he was gone.
Doctor Kwon lets out a breath of relief once the young Doctor is gone, gasping for air as he falls back to his seat with shaky legs. Daniel Park. Jinyoung Park. They were much more alike than he had previously thought.
The second that Daniel had left the office he was greeted with the sight of Johan and his mother whispering to each other, their tones and demeanour radiating their worry. Johan was the first to spot him, face drawing down into a deep scowl as he approached them with a weary look.
"You were in there for a long time, what's the verdict?" Johan asks and Daniel can only huff out a smile.
"Your mothers being transferred to SNMC, you'll have your operation there" Daniel states and Mrs Seong could only let out a shocked gasp.
"Am I really? But what about the money and the queue of people?" She sputters out.
"Once you get to SNMC I'll have someone to look over the different programs and services you could potentially benefit from to support you through this" Daniel hums out gently.
"But the Doctors here told us that we weren't qualified for any programs or services, that's why we were put on this stupid list in the first place. Look if we're just transferring to a more expensive hospital just so my mother can sleep in another bed for years on end and be put on another list then I don't want it" Johan steps forward but Daniel shakes his head.
"Your mother should be eligible for a social welfare service and if not then the Director can certainly find a different program to help achieve this surgery for both you and your mother. I promise it will be different from what happened here, we will try our hardest to give you your sight back" Daniel vows and Johan freezes.
Mrs Seong on the other hand was still processing everything in disbelief.
"I…I'll be able to see again?" She asks and Daniel can't keep the smile from appearing on her face.
He pushed the bridge of his glasses up before reaching out to grasp her hands and she was quick to hold him back.
"Yes"

Jinyoung had been beyond confused and irritated when he found out that the patient being transferred to their hospital was due to his nephew. He gave Daniel one opportunity to explain himself and once the younger did the elder Park could only shake his head in disappointment.
"I should have known that Doctors like that still existed in that hospital" Jinyoung grumbles, running a hand through his hair.
"This isn't the first time malpractice like that has occurred?" Daniel inquires and Jinyoung nods.
"Unfortunately no, there was another man, an attending from years ago who was going behind the hospital and scamming patients for their money, it had been this entire situation that myself and a couple of others found out when we discovered some of the book records. That's a story for another time, just know that the attending was arrested for his crimes" Jinyoung waves off and Daniel could only hum in interest.
"Isn't it suspicious that the same hospital is producing all these medical professionals who are committing malpractice?" Daniel questions but Jinyoung shakes his head.
"Medical malpractice isn't something that one government hospital can take the blame for, it is the fault of the system and individuals. Whilst SNMC hasn't had a case of malpractice or negligence it could still happen. That's why we should always be aware and alert" Jinyoung informs and Daniel nods.
People were people. There was no way to predict whether someone would intentionally or unintentionally commit such crimes.
"Daniel" Jinyoung calls out, causing his nephew to look back up at him. "Good work, not the threatening someone part but the helping your friend and a patient part" He acknowledges and a smile breaks out on the young doctor's lips.
.
.
.
"We shouldn't do this here…anyone can walk in on us" Daniel huffs out through the insistent lips that were against him.
"It'll be fine" Gun hums, focused on his task at hand as he continues losing himself in his lover's embrace.
The two were currently in the medical bay, Gun having initially sought the younger out to go to lunch but the minute his gaze had met Daniel the memories of the bathroom at Hostel spilled back into their minds.
"I want to do this all the time" Gun confesses, squeezing his hands tightly around Daniel's waist whereas the other cards his fingers through the elder's hair. "You have no idea how addicting you are" He hums and the Doctor sighs into the touch.
Daniel was just as content to make out with Gun for the rest of the day, unluckily for them they didn't have that luxury. Just as Daniel was about to start indulging himself even further the sound of echoing footsteps approaching the medical room was heard.
Both men freeze in their spots and Daniel does the only thing he can do. He shoves Gun hard into the files room and slams the door shut just before the intruder opens the door to let themselves in.
"Everything alright in there, Doctor Park?" It was a security guard employee, the poor guy looked a little confused as to why the resident Doctor was so out of breath and flushed.
"Uh Yes, yes of course I'm alright. What can I do for you, Mr. Guard?" Daniel asks, pushing a smile onto his face which causes the man to frown before lifting up his hand.
"I uh…was helping clear out a couple of storage rooms under Mr Lee's order and I accidentally cut myself on a rusty piece of metal, it doesn't hurt all too bad but I was sort of bleeding quite a bit. The other guys told me to come here and get it checked by you" The man explains and Daniel smiles.
"Of course, please gently rinse the wounded area and then take a seat. Make sure not to scrub" Daniel grabs the proper wipes, bandages and antiseptic before heading over to the man.
Daniel was quick with his work, making sure to ask the security guard when he had last gotten his tetanus shot and how he should take care of the cut. Luckily it hadn't been so deep and so long as he kept it clean it should have been fine.
"Doctor, can I ask why you slammed that door before I came in? You looked rather stressed" The guard questions curiously and Daniel of course freezes, scrambling to come up with an excuse.
"I uh…I was looking for a certain file before and when I found it I noticed it was on the top shelf…I should have grabbed a chair or something but I thought if I tried hard enough I'd be able to reach it, instead…the entire top shelf of files came down and now there's an entire mess in there" Daniel sighs out and the man nods.
"Do you need any help putting them back up there? I could grab you a step ladder if you want" The guard offers but Daniel shakes his head.
"I'll be alright and I like to sort the files myself but thank you for the offer, I'm a bit meticulous when it comes to where I like my files" Daniel states before patting the man on the shoulder. "Alright, everything should be clear here. Make sure to change the bandage, keep the wound clean and if anything at all looks or feels strange I want you to come back here or go to an actual hospital, alright?"
The guard nods and leaves the room. The minute the door closes, the file room opens up to reveal an unamused Jong Gun.
"You threw me into the file room?" Gun grunts out and Daniel shrugs.
"What did you want me to do?" The Doctor replies.
"We could have just…I don't know, played it off like I was visiting you for work" Gun retorts and Daniel raises a brow.
"Whilst both of us were red in the face and dishevelled?!" Daniel snorts before crossing his arms. "That being said, we shouldn't do this sort of thing in my workspace. Not only is it unsanitary and morally wrong but as I said earlier, anyone can catch us" He hisses out but Gun merely raises a brow.
"Lock the door if it worries you so much and besides it's not as if we're fucking on the bed and if we're talking about morally wrong I think we're both past that" Gun replies with a smirk, walking over to wrap his arms around Daniel to get the younger to face him.
"I'm not locking the door, what if there's a medical emergency, I can't be stuck fumbling around for the key or lock. Also, we have defiled one of the beds already, I'm not making that into a habit" Daniel hits Gun in the chest lightly as he stares at the bed they had first had sex in.
To this day he can still not look at the bed with a straight face.
"You are the pickiest person I have ever been with" Gun hums before pressing a kiss to Daniel's forehead.
"You hate it?" Daniel asks and the minute the words leave his mouth a sense of nervousness envelopes him. He didn't think he'd ever be the type to be scared of what someone else thought of him, he's brushed off more comments and insults from bullies than he cares to remember but Gun wasn't just 'anybody' he was important.
"Nah, it's cute" Gun replies softly, hands reassuringly squeezing Daniel's waist.
Daniel snorts, the tension releasing from his stomach before he draws back to give the taller man a look.
"Should we tell people about us or keep this a secret?" Daniel questions.
It was something that they hadn't talked about or established yet since getting back together. The last time they were in an intimate relationship it had been kept under wraps due to how scandalous it had been as well as the fact that it was no one's business. This time around, it was different.
"Tell people about what?" Gun asks, brows scrunching together as the words fall out of his mouth.
A sharp sense of pain shoots through Daniel's heart and his crestfallen face must have been an answer enough to the elder as he's opening and closing his mouth like a fish.
Maybe it wasn't as different as Daniel thought it was.
"Are…are we not together?" He had thought that with the heartful confessions and truths that had come out at the party, the two were dating. Daniel and Gun had both expressed their feelings in both words and actions but maybe it hadn't been as clear in the end.
"Well neither of us really…explicitly asked" Gun mumbles back, looking as tongue-tied as Daniel was currently feeling.
"Seeing as I was asking about making each other happy I thought that meant the same thing but if that's the only part you're confused about…" Daniel takes a step back and takes Gun's hands into his own. "Jong Gun Park, will you be my boyfriend?" He inquires earnestly and that causes the elder's face to shoot up in flames.
"What are you, a teenage boy?" Gun fires back defensively and Daniel snorts before raising a brow, this gets the elder to curse. "Fuck, I'm a cradle robber"
"Gun, I think we're beyond morally wrong" Daniel reminds gently which only gets Gun to let out a deep sigh of disappointment. "Fine, you don't like the term boyfriend. How about the term lover or partner? Take your pick as long as it means that we'll be exclusive and together for life" he rambles on and Gun this time gives the younger another disappointing look.
"You're asking me to be your boyfriend, not your husband" Gun pinches Daniel's hand and the Doctor snorts.
"Oh so now you like the term boyfriend" "Oh for the love of-okay fine. We can be boyfriends, happy?" Gun grumbles and Daniel grins before leaping into his man's arms.
"Very," He tells him as Gun accepts the embrace.
"Of course, the only way you got me to agree to this commitment was by annoying me" Gun snorts and Daniel pauses before letting go.
"You do want to be with me, right? I'm not forcing you into this, right? If you genuinely don't want this then I'll step back and we can forget about-" "I'm just messing around with you, where'd all that confidence from before go?" A sharp grin appears on Gun's face.
"I would be happy to be your boyfriend" Gun hums and Daniel of course couldn't help but break out into a smile.
"Good, now back to my original question before we started on this debacle. What's your take on the privacy of our relationship? Would you prefer it if we kept quiet?" Daniel asks.
Gun takes a good minute to consider the question. Before they got back together a large reason as to why they hadn't worked the first time round was because of the dangers that came with being together. The amount of enemies that would go after Daniel if people knew he was intimate with Gun. He also understood that they wouldn't be able to keep quiet about it forever.
"You can tell some people as long as they can keep it a secret" Gun relents and Daniel nods. "People you trust, close friends and family" he lists out.
The Doctor takes a moment to think.
"I'll let my mother and Jinyoung know eventually…not yet though since I think they're still sore about me rejoining the CC after their opinions about it" Daniel hums. "But maybe I'll let Jay, Mira and Collin know, hell maybe even Olly" He snorts.
"Olly Wang? Why him?" Gun grunts, thinking about how much of a loud mouth the Big Daddy was when it came to anything and everything. The minute the Hostel member finds out he'd probably go around shouting it to the rooftops.
"Well seeing as he already knows about us and has given me plenty of advice, it'd only be right for me to update him on us" Daniel shrugs, shoving the bewildered look that his partner was giving him into the metaphorical bin. "He won't tell anyone, I'll make sure of it. He might be a bit of a jokester but when it comes to something important he'll keep quiet…hopefully" He assures.
"I'll just brush over the fact that Olly of all people knows about us and agrees with your words because I trust you" Gun sighs. "As for my side…I don't have anyone I need to tell or who needs to know, don't really have any family here in Korea right now and friends…what even are those?" He jokes and Daniel snorts before playing with the buttons on Gun's shirt.
"You could tell James and Goo, they're practically your family" Daniel states gently.
Gun gives his boyfriend another look before replying.
"They probably already know"
The sound of a phone's ringtone goes off and Gun pulls out his phone, the soft grin that had been on his lips falters. He frowns at his screen before closing the phone and shoving it back into his pocket.
"You aren't going to answer that?" Daniel questions but Gun snorts.
"Spam call, anyways where were we before we were interrupted?" Gun questions before pulling Daniel back into his vicinity. Daniel couldn't help the laugh that bubbled out of him as he kissed Gun.
.
.
.
"So I hear congratulations are in order?" Goo calls as he pops open a bottle of champagne in James' office, pouring three glasses full of the drink.
"The hell are you going on about?" Gun questions as he watches James waltz up to grab himself a glass.
"A little birdie told us that Daniel Park was caught doing naughty things in the bathroom at the party with someone and seeing as Goo was with me all night he couldn't have been the culprit" James mentions with a smirk.
"Which leaves us with one suspect" Goo finishes, a knowing look on his face.
"It could have been anyone" Gun replies with a heavy frown.
"It could have but you were the only one that was missing from the party for the same amount of time as Daniel was, furthermore we sent him after you" James responds before grabbing the last glass to hand to Gun.
"And besides, if it had been anyone else we're sure you would have gotten pissed, yet here you are sitting in James' office with the most dreamy expression we've seen you make in a long time. There's no need to lie to us, come on, tell us the truth" Goo urges and Gun dramatically sighs before accepting the glass.
"We're dating" He confirms and both Goo and James let out twin sounds of excitement.
Gun could only watch them with raised brows of exasperation, cringing at how high pitch they both go. It was almost as if he was surrounded by teenage girls and not two of the most dangerous people in South Korea.
"Here, here!" Goo calls, raising his glass into the air. "Let's toast a drink to commemorate Jong Gun's first-ever official boyfriend! To long-lasting love!" The blonde dramatically calls out, a grin plastered on his face as he speaks.
"To an adventurous but forever sweet relationship! May there be only a few arguments far and in between" James also adds, raising his drink.
They both turn to Gun expectantly and he in return could only grumble in embarrassment.
"I'm going to kill you both" He mumbles before raising his hand as well, not daring to say anything but his reluctant smile was enough.
The other two cheer before hitting their glasses together and drinking. Gun sips tentatively as the other two knock back their glasses.
"You know, in all honesty, we were kind of worried that you wouldn't ever be able to find love, that you'd be hopping from one hole to the next" Goo laughs out crudely and this time Gun really does reaches out to try and hit the blonde only for the Founder to jump away with another laugh.
"Shut up, now that I have someone you should focus on yourselves. When the hell are you two bachelors going to get hitched?" Gun questions as he sets his drink down. He wasn't particularly fond of the taste of the champagne.
An indescribable look passes through Goo and James' faces as they glance at each other.
Gun snorts at their lack of words.

"Gun and I are dating"
Eating utensils were dropped with loud 'clunks' and mouths were gaping wide in shock at the news that was being delivered to them.
"You're absolutely Joking" Collin's gapes, voicing the thought that all three of them were thinking. Jay and Mira sat on either side of him, frozen in place as they processed the words.
If Jay's eyes could be seen he'd probably be blinking profusely as his brain did a factory reset. Mira on the other hand looked utterly baffled, inaudible noises spilling from her lips as she pointed at Daniel and then into thin air as if she was trying to connect the dots.
"No, I'm not" Daniel rubs the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Oh, you poor, manipulated, unfortunate little thing" Collin sits up straighter, pushing himself away from the table as he crosses his arms and shakes his head in disappointment.
That had not been the reaction that Daniel had been expecting.
"Excuse me?" He blurts out before Collin is firing out questions.
"Alright, what sweet words and little incentives did he tell you? Did he say that he was a changed man? That he would do better? That he would never hurt you again? Daniel these are all the sort of lines men like him say before they turn around and break all the promises they make" Collin informs and Daniel draws back like he's been burned.
"He...he didn't make those promises" Daniel utters out.
"Oh, even better" Collin sighs in disbelief.
"Wait, wait, wait. Hold on a goddamn minute" Mira calls out, holding out her pointer finger before gasping. "You've been sleeping with our boss?" She gasps out and Daniel wants to rub his face, stand up and walk away.
Maybe he shouldn't have told his friends.
"Well yes-" "No, wait. You've been sleeping with Gun fucking Park?" Mira drops the f-bomb and it causes all three men who were present to gape at her. "Don't look at me like this, none of you are allowed to look at me like that when something like this was just dropped…unless…you two already knew!" She hisses accusingly at Collin and Jay who scoot a little further away from the woman.
"Mira, please calm down-"
"Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down when you just confessed that you've been doing something so scandalous" She heatedly whispers, still mindful of where they were.
"You didn't have any problems about this when you thought I was sleeping with Goo" Daniel replies only to be hit in the face with a napkin.
"That was all allegedly a joke and you never confessed it to be true" She snaps. "And now I come to find out that it's actually Gun? Gun of all people?!" Mira looked about an inch away from her sanity snapping.
"Tch that was Nurse Hong and my reaction too" Collin snorts out and Daniel kicks his fellow Doctor in the ankle which elicits a yelp from the older man.
"Okay just listen to me for a second, Gun didn't make any of those stupid promises because I was the one who went back to pursue him. I was the one to do it, not Gun. He made it very clear that it wasn't a good idea but I just couldn't sit back and not do anything anymore" Daniel sucks in breath before continuing. "I wanted to hate him, God, I really did. After he broke my heart before the end of the final match for the tournament I loathed the guy for what he did. I told myself I wanted nothing else to do with him, that it was done and ended. That I was just some silly game for him to amuse himself with. It was over" Daniel reveals.
It was news to Mira, everything Daniel was saying but she knew that in the current moment, it was no time to shout and be confused. Instead, she mellows and reaches out, grasping the Doctor's hand gently.
"So what changed?" She questions.
Daniel struggled to voice his answer, it was already difficult to piece together when everything changed and even harder to physically explain.
"He stayed," Daniel breathes out. "When our agreement ended he should have been done with me. But he didn't just abandon me. Throughout my time in the hospital when I wasn't awake, throughout my recovery and until now he stayed. He was by my side and he never once complained. It baffled me as to why someone who didn't like me or much less even love me would stay by my side. For the first bit, I was petty and angry but then I stopped being angry"
Daniel huffs out a little smile.
"How could I be angry when he was always chauffeuring me around? When he made sure I was tucked in and warm at the hospital, that my wires were clean and perfect, when he ensured that all my sludgy liquid food held all the nutritional values it needed and God, I'd have to be blind to ignore how he looks at me when we're together" Looking down at the table he avoids the eyes that were glued to him. "So yeah, it's a little fucked up but I started to remember why I started falling for him in the first place and now…now I think I'm even deeper and I want to try and hold onto what we have this time. To fight for it rather than walk away like the first time. Gun…He's a pessimist when it comes to things like this so it's going to take a lot but I'm willing to try. Even if it hurts me" Daniel confesses.
It takes a moment before anyone can say anything.
"You're in deep" Collin states and Daniel snorts as Mira and Jay laugh, soft airy yet delicate noises.
"Yeah, I am," Daniel nods.
"Oh sweetheart, when you said that you liked someone and was scared about them not returning it I couldn't have imagined this. I also couldn't have imagined how in love you were" Mira voices and Daniel flushes at the 'L' word but he doesn't deny it. "I'm not angry about this by the way, only shocked and a little offended how you didn't tell me sooner but if you're sure about this then there isn't anything we could say or do to prevent you from doing this" Mira states.
"I mean we could…" Immediately Collin was hit on the shoulder by both Jay and Mira whilst Daniel kicked him yet again on the ankle.
"Thank you Mira" Daniel smiles at her. "And thank you Jay for not making any snarky remarks or insults" He directs to the blonde who could only smile weakly in return.
"Hey, I'm not making these snarky remarks and insults because I want you to suffer, I just want you to be careful. If you become sad and depressed it means I'll have to either stay here longer or come back later and honestly as much of an experience working at the CC has been I'd rather go back to SNMC" Collin reveals and Daniel stares at the other with wide eyes before mentioning what he had stated.
"You're going back…when?" Daniel questions and the shock seems to surprise even Collin.
"In two weeks roughly, I'm staying until you can get back on your feet and work by yourself again without needing me. I know you have nurse Jay and some very capable helpers but it's always better to play it safe than sorry" Collin explains and Daniel takes a moment to comprehend what he was being told. "What's with that expression? You look upset" The brunette chuckles, noticing Daniel's silence but also his lack of emotions.
"I think he's upset because you'll be leaving" Mira mentions and Jay nods.
Collin looks at the two before turning back to Daniel, a goofy smile on his lips before he speaks.
"Are you saying you're going to miss me?" The Doctor inquires.
Daniel stares blankly at the cocky smile before snorting.
"Yeah, I will. I'll miss having your sorry butt around here even if we sort of bicker more than get along" Daniel huffs out reluctantly before letting out a tiny smile. "You're the first Doctor friend that isn't related to me, Collin" He murmurs in a whisper.
This gets Collin to stop smiling, the look dropping from his face entirely before realisation surfaces. Guilt, remorse, and sadness before eventually acceptance.
"You're my friend too, Daniel"
.
.
.
"So you're still going to pick me up and drop me home?" Daniel asks as Gun walks through the door of the infirmary room.
The man looked startled to be addressed the instant he entered but took it with stride.
"Is that a problem?" He retorts, raising a brow. "You have someone else chauffeuring you around?"
Daniel shrugs.
"Maybe I do, I'm sure one of the fighters around here would be glad to take me home" Daniel replies which causes Gun to snort.
"The fighters? Oh please, I know for a fact that most of the Burn Knuckles can barely ride motorbikes without crashing, Hostel prefers taking the bus, Big Deal and God Dog members walk to exercise and the Workers won't even look in your direction without thinking about the oopsie one of their members did to you" Gun was quick to fire back and Daniel falters.
"Oh…I'm sure one of the kings could still be around. They probably have cars" Daniel tries but Gun merely gives him a disbelieving look.
"And the kings would be here on a weekday because why?"
"Shut up and let me just tease you in peace" Daniel huffs, standing up from his chair and collecting his things before going over to Gun and pressing a soft kiss to the older man's lips. "You're here pretty early today, you'd think for a man that co-runs the CC and is a bodyguard on the side that you'd be busy, yet here you are at 6 PM sharp of all times to collect me to take me home" He hums out and Gun rolls his eyes before speaking.
"I was thinking about taking you somewhere, it's going to be a bit of a drive but I had hoped you'd come with" Gun answers and Daniel stares at the man with a curious look.
"Where are you taking me?" Daniel questions.
"I can't tell you, now do you want to go or what?" Gun asks and Daniel is quick to agree.
It's not the first time Gun has taken him out on a random late-night trip, usually, it was to nice restaurants or fancy lookout spots so something like this couldn't be all that much different. Throughout the ride, the Doctor couldn't help but fire out guesses but with each word, Gun would merely snort or not bother replying.
It takes about an hour to drive and the sun has slowly started descending. The hues of orange, red and purple were littered throughout the sky and Daniel couldn't help but take in the view. Whipping out his phone to take photos of both the sky and Gun who was driving with the window down. By the time the Founder parks the car, Daniel has a pretty good idea as to where they are due to the view that's in front of him.
"Hanagae beach?" Daniel gapes, taking in the sight of the vast blue ocean.
"Yep," Gun says, popping the P as he smiles at how giddy Daniel looks.
Immediately Daniel was unbuckling himself out and rushing out onto the sand, jumping up and down and letting the wind run through his hair. He lets out a shout of happiness, taking in the scent of salt and ignoring the stares of the few individuals who are around.
Being cooped up in the CC and then at home, only getting some opportunities to enjoy the sun during his breaks and late-night dinners with Gun. Going on an outing to a beach like this was a welcoming difference.
"Hey, easy there" Gun calls and Daniel turns just in time for a blanket to be thrown on his face. "It's getting cold, you should use that" The elder advises.
As Daniel pulls the object off his face it is Gun who takes the time to snort and readjust the blanket so that it's wrapped around the younger rather than drowning him.
"Thanks" Daniel mutters, grinning up at the elder before noticing that he was the only one wrapped like a burrito and that Gun was still dressed plainly in his suit. "Aren't you cold?" He asks softly but the elder merely waves him off.
"I'll be fine, my body runs quite warm. Now come on" Gun leads the way, not looking back as he heads further down the beach. Daniel was quick to follow, reaching the founder's side and leaning into his side as they enjoyed the view together.
Despite getting dark, the beach and the beauty of its sights don't seem to die down. Daniel would argue that it seems to get even prettier, especially with all the lights from the city turning on and illuminating against the beach. The beach at night seemed to be quite popular as several couples were milling around with each other, acting all lovey-dovey with one another as they held hands and kissed.
Daniel couldn't help but feel a sense of jealousy at the open displays of affection, turning back to Gun who kept his eyes on the sea. They had both found a ledge to sit on and were casually taking in the beach, enjoying each other's company without much to talk about.
The wind blew through Gun's hair, letting loose a few strands that were already on the edge of coming apart after a rough day of being held in place by hair products. Daniel loved it when Gun's hair was down, it gave the man a more vulnerable yet soft look.
"Is there something on my face?" Gun voices out and Daniel immediately snaps his head away, embarrassed to be caught staring.
"Nope," He was quick to reply, rubbing his neck sheepishly before opening his blanket and draping one side over Gun's shoulder. Even though the man had made it pretty clear he didn't need it, the subtle goosebumps that were trailing up the elder's neck spoke otherwise.
"You sure? You seemed to be staring pretty hard" Gun snorts, accepting the blanket and scooting closer so their sides were pressed flush next to each other. Daniel grumbles at the teasing.
"Am I not allowed to stare at my cute boyfriend?" Daniel retorts and this time Gun laughs out loud.
"Oh please, cute? I'm what people would call rugged but I am not cute or pretty. The scars make it a bit difficult to be called attractive sometimes and it's even worse when you're always surrounded by men like James and Goo who are beyond attractive" Gun points out yet there was no sense of self-depreciation in his voice. He spoke those words as if he was merely pointing out logical facts, he truly believed that his scars made him seem unattractive. "If we're talking cute or pretty or the definition of handsome then you should look in a mirror" Gun turns to face Daniel, an appreciative look on his face.
"I'm lucky to be with someone as beautiful as you" He hums out the compliment so easily that Daniel would almost believe the elder wasn't embarrassed if it weren't for the nervous way Gun's hands twitch whenever he was being so earnestly honest.
Daniel raises a brow at the word, determined to not let the comments butter him up as leans over and grasps Gun's face, cupping him in his palms.
"Nonsense, you're beautiful too" Daniel states, glaring as Gun opens his mouth to deny the words. "I'm serious, Jonggun, I didn't peg you as the type to be doubtful about your appearance, it doesn't suit you or your handsome face" He points out and Gun this time lets out an exaggerated huff of embarrassment.
"Alright I won't argue with you, you're too stubborn to argue with anyways" Gun grunts before leaning down and pressing a kiss to Daniel's lips before slipping away with a grin at the baffled look on the Doctor's face.
It took a few seconds before Daniel could shake off his stunned demeanour before looking around the beach frantically. Luckily no one seemed to be paying attention to them.
"You had enough of the view yet?" Gun gestures to the beach and Daniel nods.
Gun stands and Daniel follows so that the blanket doesn't slip off either of their shoulders. It was slightly difficult to walk with the blanket on both of them due to their height difference but they made it work somehow. Gun leads them back to the car but instead of going to the driver's seat he opens the back door and ushers Daniel in quickly.
"Gun?" Daniel voices but enters the car, Gun follows him afterwards. "What are we doing?" As soon as he raised the question he was pushed down onto the seats, Gun's body on top of him and immediately heated lips were pressed against his.
Oh. That's what they were doing.
"Gun…we're in public" Daniel hisses through their mouths.
"Not the first time we've done something scandalous in public" Gun snorts as he continues kissing his boyfriend senseless. Hands slip under Daniel's shirt, trailing down the soft expanse of his stomach and hips.
Daniel arches upwards into the touch, gasping in pleasure every time Gun's fingers graze a sensitive spot. This was something Daniel discovered about Gun, the elder loved touching him. He loved pressing his palms down Daniel's abdomen squeezing his hips or sliding his fingers up and down his back. It had been strange at first but not odd enough for Daniel to hate it. No, in fact, he loved being worshipped like that.
"Gun…" Daniel whispers keenly as Gun breaks apart from the kiss to trail his lips down the younger man's neck, reaching his exposed collarbones. Daniel's shirt had come undone and was in disarray due to all the movement and Gun takes full advantage of it.
"Beautiful, my beautiful boyfriend" Gun hums, his voice having gone an octave lower as he lifts himself up to stare at the man that laid under him.
"Stop teasing me and just fuck me already, Jonggun" Daniel spits out, his face set ablaze. There had been too many compliments that evening, he didn't need to hear anymore.
"So eloquent" Gun grins wolfishly but he obliges, unzipping both their pants and pulling out both their members. The second Daniel's leaking cock touches Gun's own he can't help the filthy moan that leaves his mouth. "So needy, my precious baby is so needy for me" The Founder was far too pleased by this.
Before Daniel could call him out for it he felt Gun wrap his large hands around both their members. He doesn't stop the mewls from spilling out, especially as he starts moving.
The stimulation from Gun's hands, his lips and the debauched situation of hooking up in a car in the middle of a public parking lot was all too overwhelming. Daniel's hips stutter up to meet with Gun's movements, rubbing both their cocks together in the process which draws a heated moan from Gun.
"That's it darling, such a good boy" Gun continues to encourage and it doesn't take much longer for Daniel to spill into Gun's fist. The elder was quick to follow after a couple more stimulating tugs.
The car was probably fogged up and they probably weren't all that quiet but neither man felt finished yet.
Switching positions, Gun sits in the middle of the seats, legs spread and waiting patiently for Daniel to collect his thoughts and situate himself on Gun's lap. They didn't need words to communicate, they both knew what they wanted and Daniel was ready to provide.
Daniel lifts two of his fingers to Gun's lips and the Founder indulges, opening his mouth to indulge the younger. Gun's tongue swirls around the digits, making sure to drown them in saliva before the Doctor pulls them out. Daniel was quick to reach down and start opening himself up, taking the time to relax and allow the intrusion as Gun watched, his cock that had been resting against his stomach twitching back to life.
Eventually Gun was jerking himself off again and Daniel was fucking himself open on his fingers.
"Alright, I'm ready" Daniel hums out and Gun lets out another noise before aligning himself with the hole. Daniel sinks down slowly, gasping out with each inch he takes before eventually he bottoms out. "Fuck" he huffs, closing his eyes shut as he takes in the sensation.
"So warm, you feel so good baby" Gun peppers several more kisses against Daniel's lips and jaw. Daniel begins to move his hips, slowly and sensually so that he can feel every inch of Gun's curved member, as if he was carving out a place just for the elder.
Sex in the car isn't hard or fast, instead, the two of them take their time taking in each other's body heat and pleasure. A few times Gun's hips would twitch upwards, attempting to rut upwards into the younger man but each time he would catch himself and stop. In an attempt to control his urges and simply enjoy the pace, Daniel was setting.
More and more kisses were pressed against each other's skin, Gun's hands roamed down Daniel's chest all the way to his waist as Daniel held onto the elder's neck from support.
The soft rings of a phone sound throughout the car and Daniel pauses momentarily.
"Gun, someone's calling you" Daniel hums out, still blissed out from the lust and pleasure he was receiving.
"Ignore it" Gun grumbles out, hands coming down to grasp Daniel's ass, spreading the soft meat apart before pushing Daniel down even further onto his cock.
Any protests that Daniel might have had instantly die down, pushing the phone sounds out of his mind he continues to ride Gun.
It doesn't take long before the two of them reach their peak and slump against one another, breathing heavily as they rest. Daniel could definitely enjoy getting used to this.
.
.
.
It's been about 3 weeks since they've officially started dating and attempting to hide his relationship with the Founder is easier than Daniel thought it would be, especially when people absolutely refuse to see Gun as someone who firstly would be in a relationship and secondly would be with either a man or co-workers. Most people would laugh at the thought of Gun in any sort of committed relationship which worries Daniel because what kind of person builds up that sort of image?
Still, he doesn't deny the fact that there are perks to their private relationship. They aren't obligated to show or tell anyone about them being together and their close co-workers as well as the important people, aka Goo and James, already know of their relationship. Although despite their privacy, there were also issues with this. Daniel is flattered by the range of people who are interested in him. Several years ago he would have never imagined that he would be so popular but now he was always surrounded by people who were either looking up to him or wanting to be with him.
When he was on the clock, he had his fellow co-workers, the ex-volunteers who were now employees who were eagerly observing and assisting where they could. The majority showed promise in a career in the medical field and he had been told several times already that he was what was inspiring them to consider the pathway. Yet with their bright minds and the want to learn it left little time for Daniel to even talk to the Founders during fight nights much less do anything with Gun in private.
Even when it wasn't fight nights, just staying in the medical room by himself as he organised data spreadsheets and wrote up medical concerns or restocked supplies, he was frequently visited by fighters. Ones that were too old to be in school or had dropped out either came in for an injury whilst using the gym or just to chat. Daniel was open to these talks, it did well for him to socialise with a variety of people and it was good to make connections with people that he was specifically going to be giving medical help to. But every time Gun intends to drop in, making an effort to make the time despite his busy schedule, either someone else is already present or someone interrupts them.
Gun gets particularly grumpy when this happens and although Daniel sympathises he can't exactly kick people out without a good excuse other than 'I want to spend time with my boyfriend'.
Sure, some people leave the instant they see Gun's scowling face but more times than not they need to stay due to their injuries.
"I hate that you're popular" Gun grumbles under his breath as they both head to the man's car. "There's never any time for me to come and see you which is stupid because we literally work in the same building half the time" He adds, excusing the times he had to serve bodyguard duty for Crystal.
"Well, I can't turn people away" Daniel hums, opening the door and sliding into the passenger seat.
"You could have office hours" Gun grunts like a vindictive caveman.
"If I have reduced hours it means people who get hurt outside those hours won't be able to seek any help" Daniel points out.
"If their boo-boos are so serious then they can go to an actual hospital instead of taking up all your time" The man states and Daniel gives the elder an unamused look. "What? I'm being serious, now that your other Doctor has gone back to the hospital you'll be piling up with work again…Wasn't there any way to convince him to stay?" Gun questions and Daniel shrugs.
"Collin enjoyed working here to an extent but it isn't what he wants to do forever. Just getting to come in for so long was already a miracle, there was no way he was going to stay any longer" Daniel hums.
Some people were still around at this hour, security members who were taking the night shift or some janitors who were finishing off their last bit of work before clocking out of work.
"I don't like seeing you overworked" Gun grumbles and Daniel huffs out a little snort before waving at some passersby who had grown familiar with the sight of Gun taking Daniel home.
Suddenly, just as they were about to head out through the final glass doors Daniel stumbles into Gun's firm back.
"Gun! If you're just going to suddenly stop in your tracks you could at least warn a guy" Daniel grumbles, rubbing his nose and jaw before sidestepping the man. Looking up at Gun's face his annoyance dies.
Gun looked…tense. His jaw was set firmly in place, twitching slightly as he was grinding his teeth. His shoulders were raised as if he was readying for a confrontation and although Daniel couldn't currently see the man's eyes due to the glasses he could see his brows pinching together.
"Gun?" Daniel hums before turning his gaze, following his line of sight to what the elder was staring at only to find three men.
Two of the guys who stood by the middleman's sides were tall and held an intimidatingly cold aura. They both wore matching white tracksuits and although their physiques and looks were similar which probably meant they were related one way or another, one of the men wore round glasses and had a goatee whereas the other had facial scars and a short mullet. Their eyes were narrowed onto Gun, occasionally flickering down to Daniel but brushing him off as not a threat. Neither of them smiled, their expressions grim and their mouths set into a firm line to not give anything away.
The man who stood in the middle, leaning back against the ominous black SUV radiated a completely different aura. He held himself with an imposing stillness that creeped Daniel out, it was like he was the calm before a storm. He wore what looked like a traditional Japanese white Kimono and haori, and had short black hair that was slicked back similarly to Gun's. His sharp eyes, hidden behind a pair of thin glasses, were cold and calculating and it never leaves Gun's form. The beginning of tattoos could be seen around his chest and wrist and Daniel could only infer that they went further.
He was handsome. Ruggedly so.
Suddenly his mouth opens and a string of words fall out. It was loud and clear but Daniel had no idea what he was saying as he spoke Japanese. Yet with each syllable it caused Gun to tense even further.
The man approaches them and the other two follow his lead. Gun's arm shoots out, grabbing Daniel's side and pulling him behind his figure but despite this, his eyes never leave the three men. The action causes the intimidating man to falter before he snorts, tilting his head as he says something else.
Gun grits his teeth, glaring at the man in fury before something else processes and he turns to address Daniel.
"Daniel, go back inside the building and wait for another Founder. I'll call them over to give you a lift home" Gun tells him, nudging him slightly backwards towards the direction they came from.
"Huh? Gun, what's going on?" Daniel inquires, confusion adorning his face as he looks back and forth from the man to his boyfriend. "And I'm not going to leave you alone with these weirdos" He hisses in addition, causing all three men to glare in his direction.
Oh. Maybe they did understand Korean.
"Daniel" Gun hisses out warningly, his tone meaning business. "Go back inside, now" His words left no room for an argument.
Daniel debates on whether or not he should fight back but seeing how adamant Gun was it makes him accept the words. Reluctantly, Daniel steps backwards.
"Fine but you owe me an explanation" He grunts before walking back into the building. He tries not to glance back, tries to give them privacy but it falters and the need to understand and know what's going on wins.
As he closes the door behind him he glances back at the four men only to be granted with the shocking sight of Gun getting pulled into an embrace of sorts.
The other two men continued to keep their distance but the intimidating leader had reached out and pulled Gun in by the shoulder, shoving Gun's head into his shoulder as he remarked something loud and haughty. Gun on the other hand surprisingly didn't look like he was moments away from killing, instead the tension in his shoulder fell as he accepted the touch.
It was strange. Seeing Gun so compliant.
The door falls completely shut and Daniel turns back around.
He was going to get his explanation one way or another.
