Ann drop her phone while muttering to herself , complaining about Jayden negligence to man's affair , she couldn't help but wonder whether Jayden would have get married by now if not for that matter , she exhaled for the umpteenth time and called her secretary to reschedule since Jayden won't be coming in for the day , asking her to bring in along files that needs her attention so they could get prepared for the work ahead .

As Ann waited for her secretary to arrive with the files, she couldn't help but think about Jayden's situation. She had known Jayden since college, and they had been through thick and thin together. Ann had always been the more outgoing and confident one, while Jayden was more reserved and cautious.

But despite their differences, Ann had always admired Jayden's strength and determination. She had been through a tough time a few years ago, and Ann had been proud of her for coming out stronger on the other side.

However, Ann couldn't help but feel that Jayden was still holding onto the past. She had been so focused on her career and rebuilding her life that she had put her personal life on the backburner. And now, with her parents pushing her to get married, Ann worried that Jayden was going to let fear and doubt hold her back again.

Just as Ann was getting lost in thought, her secretary knocked on the door with the files. Ann thanked her and began to sort through the documents, her mind still wandering back to Jayden. As she worked, Ann couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility towards her friend. She had always been Jayden's rock, and now she felt like she needed to be there for her more than ever, with newfound determination, Ann decided to visit her place after work to see how much she's fearing knowing too well she'll be all alone.

As the day wore on, Ann found herself glancing at the clock every few minutes, eager to wrap up her work and head to Jayden's place. She couldn't shake the feeling that her friend was struggling, and she wanted to be there to offer support.

Finally, the workday drew to a close, and Ann packed up her things, saying goodbye to her secretary as she headed out the door. She drove to Jayden's place, her mind wandering to all the things she wanted to say to her friend.

When she arrived, Ann knocked on the door, and Jayden answered, looking a bit surprised to see her.

"Hey, girl! I was just thinking about you," Jayden said, stepping aside to let Ann in.

Ann smiled and hugged Jayden tightly. "I was thinking about you too," she said. "I wanted to come check on you and see how you're doing."

Jayden nodded, leading Ann to the living room. "I'm doing okay, I guess," she said, flopping down onto the couch. "Just feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything."

Ann sat down beside her, putting a comforting arm around Jayden's shoulders. "I can imagine," she said. "Your parents can be a bit much sometimes."

Jayden laughed, a small, sad sound. "That's an understatement," she said. "But it's not just them. It's... everything. This whole arranged marriage thing, and my past... sometimes I feel like I'm just stuck in a rut, you know?"

Ann nodded, squeezing Jayden's shoulders gently. "I do know," she said. "But here's the thing: you're not alone, okay? You've got me, and we'll get through this together.

Jayden smiled, looking a bit more hopeful. "Thanks, Ann," she said. You're always a shoulder for me to lean on "Just talking to you makes me feel better."

Ann smiled back, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was exactly where she needed to be – supporting her friend during a difficult time.
