Chapter 20: The Birth of Spider-Man & A Meeting of Titans

Peter Parker's First Night as a Hero

Peter Parker had never felt more alive.

His heart raced as he swung through the city, the wind rushing past his face, the buildings blurring beneath him.

This was it.

This was what he was meant to do.

After days of experimenting, after countless bruises, near misses, and one very embarrassing crash into a dumpster, he had finally figured it out.

His powers.

His suit.

His identity.

He wasn't just Peter Parker anymore.

He was Spider-Man.

The First Real Test

As he landed on a rooftop, panting from the sheer thrill of it, his ears picked up sirens.

His head turned, and that strange tingle in his skull flared.

Something was wrong.

He sprinted toward the edge of the building, looking down at the street below—

A car chase.

Police cruisers weaving through traffic, pursuing a black van. The van's windows were shattered, and Peter could see masked men inside.

Armed. Dangerous.

And headed straight for a busy intersection.

Peter's heart pounded.

This was it.

No more practice.

No more hesitation.

Time to be a hero.

He leapt.

Stopping the Getaway

Peter landed on the moving van hard.

The whole thing lurched, tires screeching against the pavement.

"What the hell?!" one of the robbers yelled.

Before they could react, Peter webbed the windshield.

"Hey, fellas!" he called. "You forgot your turn signal!"

One guy stuck his head out the window with a gun.

Peter webbed it shut.

"Ah-ah. No shooting."

The driver tried to swerve, trying to shake him off—

Peter flipped midair, landed on the hood, and punched straight through the glass.

The guy in the passenger seat screamed.

With one quick motion, Peter grabbed the steering wheel and yanked it sideways.

The van swerved, slamming into a lamppost—harmlessly.

The doors burst open, and the robbers tried to run.

Peter webbed them to the walls in two seconds flat.

The cops skidded to a stop.

They stepped out, blinking up at him.

One officer stammered, "Who the hell are you?"

Peter smirked.

"I'm your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."

Then he swung away.

Meanwhile: A Billionaire Makes His Move

Inside Stark Tower, Tony Stark sat at his desk, tapping his fingers against the surface.

Superman had been on his mind for weeks.

A guy like that? No history, no explanation, just shows up one day and starts saving people?

Yeah, no.

Tony Stark didn't trust things he didn't understand.

And he wanted answers.

"J.A.R.V.I.S.," he muttered. "Track Superman's last known location."

The AI responded smoothly. "Superman has been active across multiple areas, sir. However, based on flight patterns, there is a high probability that he frequents New York."

Tony smirked.

"So he's in my city."

He stood, grabbing his Iron Man gauntlet.

"Alright, let's go make a new friend."

The Meeting of Titans

Ethan had just finished stopping a runaway subway train when he heard the sound of repulsors.

He looked up—

And saw Iron Man hovering above him.

The red and gold armor gleamed under the city lights, the arc reactor humming softly.

Tony Stark's voice crackled through the speakers.

"Well, well. If it isn't the man of steel."

Ethan crossed his arms, smirking. "Took you long enough."

Tony chuckled. "Yeah, well, I'm a busy guy."

He lowered himself, landing smoothly in front of Ethan.

The two stood face to face for the first time.

"So," Tony said, folding his arms. "You gonna tell me who you really are?"

Ethan smiled.

"You first."
