POV: Ryan Zephyr
An hour passed after Aria and Everett left my office, leaving Jennifer and myself alone inside my office as we discussed frivolous matters until we eventually engaged into an unnecessary, but lustful activity as the moment we were finished, I was notified that multiple students were inside the evaluation facility, which is off-limits for all students with the exception of a few.
As I turned on one of my monitors, I switched my camera to the evaluation facility as Jennifer and I witnessed Rai effortlessly beating Arthur, sparking Jennifer's curiosity as her eyes widened in astonishment.
"Ryan, what am I watching right now?" Jennifer asked, awestruck as it was her first time seeing Arthur so helpless against someone of the same age.
"I don't understand. When you first told me earlier about the details of the mission, I found it hard to believe that the boy who was beaten down by Jacob was the one who miraculously saved everyone and yet, I think I'm able to believe you now as this same boy isn't even breaking a sweat against Arthur. How is this possible?" Jennifer added as her bewilderment left me confused.
"I thought I told you that Rai was the kid I raised. Did you forget?" I asked as Jennifer slowly turned her head towards me, utterly lost as I struggled to recall the time I informed her about Rai until I remembered that I never told her about Rai in the first place, prompting a sheepish laugh from me as Jennifer smiled until she slapped me across my face, knocking me out of my chair as she buttoned up her dress shirt and fixed her disheveled hair.
"I was always wondering why you were so cold to Rai, but I guess a new student disrespecting the Headmaster would get on your bad side." I reflected, rubbing my cheek as I laid on the floor of my office while Jennifer placed her glasses onto her face, slightly adjusting them.
"To believe that you're the Headmaster of a Hero Academy is mind-boggling. Now I feel horrible for treating him the way I did." Jennifer remarked as her guilt roused a chuckle from me, causing her to sharpen her gaze as I waved her off.
"There's no need to worry about that. I'm certain that you are the last person on his mind, so there's no need to feel guilty about your actions as Rai was also in the wrong for treating me like that. I mean I'm human too, right?" I asked as Jennifer deadpanned until she sighed, shifting her gaze towards the monitor once more as we watched Rai send Arthur tumbling into a tree.
"If he's the kid you raised, then that explains why he's absurdly strong and well trained in hand-to-hand combat. It was smart to have them fight in the evaluation facility, considering that the walls within it conceals one's Aspectual Force from leaking outside as Rai wishes to keep his Aspect hidden, although..." Jennifer said, her voice petering out as she narrowed her eyes, leaning towards the monitor as her sudden silence left me concerned.
"What's wrong?" I asked, picking myself up from the floor as I looked at the monitor and immediately understood her silence.
"That's Selene, isn't it?" Jennifer asked as we watched a white haired girl walking along a trail within the forest, listening to music as the direction of her path was bound to cross Arthur and Rai, who were solely focused on their fight as Arthur activated his Aspect first, grabbing Selene's attention as she felt Arthur's Aspectual Force.
"Yeah… that is." I replied with a sigh as I forgot to inform Selene that the evaluation facility was closed today.
"What should we do?" Jennifer asked as I buttoned up my shirt.
"We can continue watching from here. If Selene leaves the facility, we can tell her about Rai's situation and if she chooses to stay, then that's even better for us as Rai will just explain everything to her and that way, we can even go for another round-"
Amidst my suggestion, Jennifer slapped me once more with a scowl, storming out of my office as I was left on the cold floor of my office, staring at my ceiling as I imagined the outcome of their fight, bringing a smile to my face.
Good luck, Arthur.
POV: Selene Korisuki
As I watched two boys who were no older than I wreak havoc among the facility, I was in utter disbelief as their attacks alone uplifted several trees and even reformed a few of the hills within it.
What am I witnessing as of now?
I usually stroll through the forest within the evaluation facility and listen to my music as I enjoy the pleasant vibe it offers.
Once again, I assumed that today was going to be the same until I felt Arthur's ridiculous Aspectual Force, causing me to investigate what he was doing inside here, but I would have never guessed he was fighting someone.
I had never seen the boy who Arthur was fighting against as I was unable to get a good glance of what the boy looked like, but despite his appearance, I felt my insides curl as the boy activated his Aspect and released his Aspectual Force.
Although it was my first time ever seeing blue lightning, what disturbed me even more was his ominous presence, which was somewhat unbearable to withstand as the very essence of it seemed to be fueled by an undying hatred.
It's cold.
His presence is so cold that if it wasn't for the Headmaster's extraordinary sense to detect any anomaly within the academy, I would have assumed this boy was a villain, although…
I would have never expected someone else to be on par with Arthur.
"You don't look so good over there, Rai. Do you need a moment to catch your breath?" Arthur asked sarcastically, attempting to provoke Rai, who remained unfazed as Arthur's provocation roused a faint smile from Rai.
So his name is Rai?
"You can't fool me. I know you're trying to stall for time by conversing, so are you going to keep running your mouth or are we going to fight?" Rai replied as the two of them dashed towards each other and began exchanging in hand-to-hand combat, but despite Arthur's efforts, it was useless in the face of Rai's remarkable prowess for combat as Arthur's swing went wide, creating an opportunity for Rai to strike as he landed a brutal spinning back kick into Arthur's abdomen, sending Arthur flying backwards across the facility until he crashed into the waterfall, eventually tumbling down the cliff into the river bed.
While Arthur tried to recover, Rai sprinted towards him and leaped off the hill they previously fought on as he manipulated a bolt of lightning within his hand before hurling it towards Arthur, who was barely able to escape in time from the violent lightning bolt as the lightning dispersed throughout the entire river, creating a spectacle of seemed to look like an electrical trap of doom.
As Rai descended onto the ground, Arthur rushed towards him as the two of them exchanged in hand-to-hand combat once more, although in this instance, Arthur used his Aspect in a clever manner to make up for the difference in their skill as he temporarily nullified all of Rai's attacks and used his momentary invulnerability to his advantage, striking Rai cleanly with a strong right hook into Rai's jaw, causing Rai to stumble backwards as Arthur immediately tried to follow up with a decisive uppercut, but to his dismay, Rai didn't budge an inch as he clenched his jaw and glared at Arthur.
"This isn't even funny anymore-" Arthur said with a nervous laugh until Rai smashed his fist into Arthur's face, sending him tumbling backwards through the grass as he was forced to endure the attacks he delayed previously, suffering from the consequences of using his Aspect rashly and yet, he seemed to be relishing in a state of exhileration.
Breaking the moment of silence was none other than Arthur, who eventually picked himself up from the ground and spat out blood onto the side as he faced Rai, who looked into the palm of his hand with a disappointed, yet dejected gaze.
"Don't tell me you're tired already? I thought we were just getting started!" Arthur asked with an ecstatic grin as his aura spiked exponentially while a determined light began to grow within his eyes.
With a deep breath, Rai's lightning began surging around him as his aura fluctuated while his once ferocious lightning suddenly vanished along with his Aspectual Force, leaving only faint traces of his lightning crackling around him as his eyes seemed to glow even brighter.
"Brace yourself, Arthur." Rai stated as his gaze sharpened, arising an unnerving sensation within Arthur, who grinned nervously as a droplet of cold sweat trickled down his face.
What did he just do?
His Aspect seems to be active still, but his Aspectual Force is gone?
No, it's more than that.
I don't understand why he concealed his Aspectual Force, but it seems he's removed the power of his Aspect completely, meaning he's unable to utilize any techniques involving it.
If my assumption is correct, then there's no way he can beat Arthur without using any techniques from his Aspect!
Has arrogance consumed him?!
"Rai, have you lost your mind-" Arthur asked, but in the midst of his sentence, Rai vanished from our sight and appeared before Arthur as he landed a destructive one-inch punch into his abdomen, winding him as the impact sent him flying backwards until he crashed into the cliff of the hill I resided on, prompting me to properly hide myself as Rai's stupendous display of speed was nothing less than confounding.
I was completely wrong.
As of now, I'm afraid that unless Arthur has a trump card…
He doesn't have a chance of winning.
