Zaiyila's jaw dropped. "Ma... marriage... we are married! I...?" she stammered, looking at Everett in disbelief. "No... I must have been dreaming again. I'm definitely dreaming again! I'm dreaming about the Serpent King again! Goodness, when will I escape from this dream? It's driving me insane!" she thought, her gaze fixed on him without blinking.
Everett licked Zaiyila's face with his tongue before smiling handsomely, sending her mind into complete chaos. "What will you eat?" he asked softly.
Zaiyila remained mute, and her eyes suddenly became teary. "This is another dream," she murmured, placing her head on his chest. "I don't know why I keep dreaming about you, but each dream feels real, and I really don't want to wake up anymore. But I know that it will soon end. Just let me feel your warmth," she whispered as she hugged him and closed her eyes, breathing in his refreshing sandalwood scent.
Everett chuckled but made no comment. He simply patted her head to reassure her. After a few hours, he finally spoke again.
"My wife hasn't eaten anything since yesterday. Tell me what you want to eat. Once you fill your stomach, you can stay as long as you want in my embrace," he uttered softly.
Zaiyila raised her head, her chin resting on his chest. "This dream is too beautiful. It's a pity that it will disappear. I'm really insane... I'm about to be sacrificed to him, yet here I am having a good dream about him," she thought, tears streaming down her face.
Everett frowned and immediately licked her tears away. "Why are you crying? Did I hurt you?" concern etched on his face.
Zaiyila shook her head before smiling. "I just... I'm unwilling to let this dream end as it always does. You know... I'm about to be sacrificed to you in reality, yet here I am having a good dream. Will you be cruel to me in reality?" she asked, even though she knew she was being silly for asking such question.
Everett's mouth formed an "O" shape before he smiled. He pressed her down and positioned himself on top of her.
"Sweetheart, you strongly believe that you're dreaming. What should I do to make you believe that this is reality?" he questioned, his eyes locked onto hers with that handsome smile still plastered on his face.
Zaiyila's heartbeat quickened. "I know better. This is a dream. It has always been a dream," she replied softly.
Everett chuckled and lowered his head to her neck, kissing her softly, sending electric shivers down her spine.
"Seems like you need to take another nap," he murmured.
Zaiyila was dazed for a moment before suddenly snapping out of it. "Wait... I don't want to sleep now. I'm... I'm afraid this is the end of my dream," she mumbled.
Everett chuckled and kissed her lips. She was very familiar with those lips and had craved them for so long that she didn't object. She wasn't even aware when her hands wrapped around his neck.
The kiss grew rough, and Everett's hands started wandering across her body, finally landing on her small breasts, which fit perfectly in his palms as if they were made just for him.
"Mhm!" Zaiyila moaned between the kiss when she felt that familiar hand slipping into her dress and gently squeezing her breast.
"In dream or reality, you are mine, Zaiyila. You are forever mine," Everett paused the kiss and gazed into her eyes. Without waiting for her response, he continued kissing her.
With miraculous speed, Zaiyila now lay bare beneath Everett. He moved his mouth away from her lips, trailing kisses down to her stomach.
"Eve... Everett..." she stammered, feeling an electrifying sensation all over her body as she noticed his lips moving lower.
"I think I like it more when you just call me Eve... go ahead," Everett chuckled as his lips finally reached paradise.
"Oh my!" Zaiyila gasped, gripping the bedsheet tightly. Tears escaped her eyes from the unbearable pleasure. "Faster, please!" she pleaded.
Everett, in between his hard work, smiled and kept Zaiyila steady by holding her thighs tightly, then quickened the pace of his teasing.
"It's... it's coming again!" Zaiyila cried out, and instantly, she released.
Sweat covered her immediately as she lay weakly on the bed, trying to catch her breath.
Everett calmly licked up every last drop of her essence before climbing back on top of her and gently kissing her breasts.
"Seems like I need to strengthen you over the next few days. Getting weak after just a warm-up isn't good," he murmured, kissing her cheek.
Zaiyila barely kept her eyes open, her mind more focused on the fear that the dream would soon end. She wanted to speak, but she was too weak to open her mouth.
"Let me prepare you something to eat first," Everett commented and was about to move away, but Zaiyila immediately clung to him like an octopus, wrapping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck. Her head rested on his shoulder as she slowly lost consciousness.
Seeing how tightly she clung to him, Everett couldn't help but smile. "Really acting spoiled now," he muttered, shaking his head as he headed toward the bathroom.
He bathed her with care and found her a suitable dress to wear. The funniest part was that he bathed along with her and found a big enough dress to fit both of them because Zaiyila refused to let him go, clinging to him tightly like an octopus.
Everett walked down the stairs to the living room, which was empty yet wide. It was beautifully decorated in royal white mixed with shining gold. Every item in the room screamed wealth—just a single glass from this place could enrich a poor family overnight.
With Zaiyila still sleeping peacefully in his embrace, he walked directly into the kitchen, which was just as spacious and stocked with fresh vegetables and other food. With a slight furrow of his brows, he turned on the cooker and began preparing a meal while keeping a close eye on his charming little octopus to ensure she didn't get hurt.
Zaiyila, who had been long asleep, was awakened by the pleasant aroma that made her stomach growl louder than anything.
"Turns out you really were hungry. When I asked you what you wanted to eat, you kept avoiding the question," Everett lowered his head and whispered into her ear.
Zaiyila was stunned. She opened her eyes wide and turned her head, only to be met with that familiar yet terrifying gaze.
"I'm not dreaming!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock.
