Chapter 49 - Nah, I Will Win

"Please don't push it too far," Gojo said, his usual grin fading. "You did something good, no doubt, but that doesn't mean you can run wild."

The faint spark of approval he'd felt for Yuto, shifted to a mix of frustration and resignation. This kid had talent, sure, but he was overstepping, insisting on taking Geto's body to burn it like some trophy to flaunt.

"Fine, let's settle it with a fight," Gojo suggested, his voice light but edged with intent. "Beat me, and you can do whatever you want with his body. Lose, and you're listening to me. Sounds fair?"

Yuto's attitude was bold, unrestrained, and acting like the world was his playground. It reminded Gojo of himself years back. Back when he'd strutted around, untouchable, until Fushiguro Toji's Inverted Spear of Heaven knocked him flat. That near-death lesson had stuck, softening his edges. Now, facing this strong-willed teen, Gojo felt a teacher's urge to guide him, maybe humble him a little.

"Strength's a gift, but the world doesn't spin just for you, Yuto-kun," Gojo said, tucking his blindfold into his pocket. His sharp blue Six Eyes glinted as he flashed a sly smile. "Come on, kid. Let's have some fun."

Yuto let out a small sigh. Gojo hadn't even let him finish talking before throwing down the gauntlet. "I'll fight you, but Geto's body stays with me first."

"Surprise!" Gojo chirped, his fist slicing through the air toward Yuto's face. "Can't hear you—win first, then we'll chat."

"Alright, now I'm annoyed," Yuto muttered, sidestepping the punch with a flicker of irritation.

"Not bad. Your reflexes are solid," Gojo said, giving a nod as Yuto dodged with ease. "But now, I'm done playing."

His carefree grin tightened into a focused look. "Heads up—this time, I'm not pulling punches. [Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue]!"

With a quick flick of his hand, a thunderous roar shook the air. A brilliant blue streak shot toward Yuto, fast and unrelenting.

Boom!

The surrounding air twisted, drawn into the glowing blue center like a vacuum pump. Up close, Yuto felt the tugging force, heavy and inescapable.

[Eye of Karma A]

In an instant, Yuto tapped into his second skill from Senji Muramasa [Eye of Karma]. A twist on [Clairvoyance], it sharpened his vision, both still and in motion, honing his focus for combat. While Muramasa's spirit couldn't pierce fate like true Clairvoyance, his fixation on "karma" through fire had warped his sight into something like a Mystic Eye, letting him see through targets and catch hints of their karmic threads.

"Sword in the Tree!"

Yuto unsheathed the rugged, ancient blade, pouring magic into it. To Gojo's surprise, a clean slash of magical energy–not cursed energy burst out.

Boom!

The collision with the blue light rang out like a thunderclap, raw power ripping through the space and adding more scars to the already battered Tokyo Curse High School.

'Not my fault, if this place gets wrecked,' Yuto thought, summoning a black bird projection to lift off. He fired golden sword beams, brimming with magic, poured down like a barrage.

The beams blazed through the air, only to halt abruptly, suspended inches from Gojo, snared by the invisible wall of [Limitless]. He brushed off his sleeve with mock boredom, tilting his head. "Pretty fireworks, Yuto, but you'll need more than that!" His taunt hung in the air, daring Yuto to push harder.

The Gojo family's [Limitless] technique grants its users nigh-absolute control over space through cursed energy manipulation at an atomic level.

.....

Down below, the staff and students of Tokyo Jutsu High, finally free of Geto's tricks rushed back to the scene.

"My school!" Principal Yaga Masamichi, a bear of a man in sunglasses, stared at the cratered ruins, his face darkening.

"Uh… sorry for your loss, Principal Yaga," Utahime Iori and Miwa Kasumi said, trading glances and stifling smirks at his gloom.

"Those two morons, if they keep this up, Tokyo's done for!" Yaga growled.

"Who's up there? Wait…..Gojo-sensei and…Saber?!" Miwa's eyes widened.

Her slip drew curious looks from her friends.

"Oh? That's Miwa's guy? Not bad on the eyes," Zenin Mai said with a teasing nudge.

"Let me get a look!" Nishimiya Momo floated up on her broom, keeping a safe distance from the chaos.

"Wow! He is holding off Gojo-sensei like that. No wonder Miwa's smitten," Momo grinned.

"Momo, Mai, cut it out!" Miwa blushed hard, her face steaming with embarrassment.

"Enough, all of you," Utahime snapped, though her own gaze lingered on the fight.
