Eleven Years of Celestial Reconstruction
Heaven, once shaken by ancient wars and the loss of its Creator, has been quietly rejuvenated over the past eleven years. Unseen by most, an invisible force worked like a patient artisan, restoring cracked golden pillars and rekindling divine light in the celestial towers. Clink… Holy stones shifted on their own during silent nights, slotting back into place on the walls of paradise. Withered gardens began to bloom once again in splendor, as if the very land of angels had responded to a secret call.
This force was the Presence—an enigmatic entity that permeated every ray of light in Paradise. Like a gentle breeze guiding seeds to fertile soil, the Presence led the angels in their restoration. In times of impasse, when seraphim hesitated before seemingly unsolvable problems in the divine mechanisms, a solution would emerge "as if by miracle." Snap!—suddenly, they would understand how to repair the complex prayer systems or mend an ancient artifact's seal. The archangels exchanged puzzled glances, never daring to say it aloud, but deep within their hearts, they felt it: God's hand once again touched Heaven.
Over the years, sorrow over the Almighty's absence gave way to a quiet hope. Each spontaneous repair, each unexplained celestial melody echoing at midnight, brought soft smiles to the veteran angels. Tum... tum...—soft beats resonated, as if a reborn heart cradled the Celestial Realm. Gradually, Heaven not only recovered its former glory but also evolved. New prayer halls rose, more resilient and radiant than ever; divine libraries reorganized themselves, with sacred tomes gleaming with newfound inspiration.
By the eleventh year of this silent renaissance, Paradise had become a perfected version of itself. The seraphim—Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel—felt a mix of awe and humility deep in their souls. Something grand was guiding them from the shadows—an invisible Providence. Little did they know, this benevolent Presence was also a mortal boy named Yuki Rito, living on Earth, whose seemingly ordinary existence concealed the power of a god. The cosmic irony went unnoticed: while Rito lived a simple life as a student, his other self whispered improvements to Heaven, like a poet inscribing verses of light among the stars.
New Angels Born of Love and Faith
As Heaven grew stronger, something unprecedented occurred: pure angels began to be born again—not by divine decree, but from sincere love and fervent faith. In the seventh year of this rebirth, a chorus of mortal voices in unison prayer resonated so powerfully that, among Paradise's clouds, a cradle of light appeared. Inside it, a tiny angel wept softly—Uah… uah…—a living miracle born of collective devotion. The elder angels watched in awe as Michael lifted the small winged child into his arms, his chest swelling with paternal emotion.
On another occasion, the pure love between two faithful youths manifested as a double halo that floated into Heaven and merged into a new celestial soul. Each angel born this way carried the essence of sublime human emotions. They were innocent and radiant, with soft white wings and eyes reflecting the stars. Unlike ancient angels forged by divine power, these new ones bore a fresh—almost human—perspective on compassion and hope.
The news spread quickly across the Seven Heavens: after ages of stillness, the celestial family was growing once more. There was dancing and laughter in the hanging gardens whenever a new sibling appeared, like a flower blooming in snow. Seraphim composed hymns celebrating the "Dawn of Divine Love," likening the birth of these angels to a sunrise after a long night. Symbolically, each angelic baby's giggle echoing through sacred halls whispered, "The love of the pure-hearted holds power equal to the word of God." A new era was dawning—one where mortal faith nourished celestial strength.
The Brave Saints and Rising Exorcists
To protect humanity and balance the forces of darkness, Heaven adopted an unprecedented tactic inspired by its old foes: the Brave Saints system. With subtle guidance from the Presence, Michael and his peers developed sacred cards—one deck for each archangel—capable of reincarnating virtuous humans as angels. In recent years, several exceptional exorcists and devout souls were elevated to angelic status, becoming Brave Saints. What began with a handful of chosen ones soon multiplied. With each sacred card activated—shiiing!—a beam of light descended to Earth, lifting a worthy soul into the celestial host.
At the same time, the number of mortal exorcists trained by the Church steadily increased. With a renewed sense of "God is with us," more youth committed to the ecclesiastical life. Across churches and convents worldwide, the sounds of sacred blades and Latin prayers echoed into the night. Clang! Clang!—training blows from swords that could cut demons, wielded by ever-steadier hands of faith. What were once thin lines of holy warriors became entire squadrons blazing with zeal.
Among the rising stars were Irina Shido and Xenovia Quarta, training side by side with relentless dedication. Irina wielded her sword of light with unwavering faith and joy, while Xenovia mastered the sacred Durandal with prodigious strength. Their mentors saw in them tremendous potential—together, they might one day defeat even a powerful ancient demon.
Far away, young nun Asia Argento faced her own trial. After healing a wounded demon out of pure compassion—an act deemed heresy by some—she was exiled from the Church she loved. Alone in the world, she kept praying humbly. The Presence watched over her every step, comforting her tears and keeping her hope alive. That pure soul would yet play a vital role under the light. One fateful night, she stood before the door of a kind boy named Yuki Rito. That day, she found a home. But something troubled her—on the day she was cast out, a halo and two pairs of wings had appeared on her back. She believed it was her imagination, especially since she could conceal them with a mere thought.
Meanwhile, the legendary exorcist Dulio Gesualdo—nicknamed "God's Joker"—carried out miraculous missions across the globe. Wielding his Longinus, Zenith Tempest, he summoned storms and lightning against the forces of darkness. KABOOM!—one night, he vanquished a soul-devourer under a torrential downpour, saving dozens of lives. His astounding feats led Michael to secretly appoint him the Joker card of the angelic system—a wild human trump for Heaven's cause.
Thanks to these heroes—and many other unsung ones—the sacred army visibly grew stronger. Irina and Xenovia recovered lost holy artifacts; Asia spread compassion even in exile; Dulio saved countless lives with divine storms. And with each victory, angels whispered thanks to the invisible providence that guided their blades and hearts.
Angels Created from Other Universes
In the eleventh year of this new era, Heaven witnessed something truly extraordinary. The Presence, expanding its influence beyond the boundaries of reality, summoned legendary angels from other universes to reinforce the celestial ranks.
BOOOOM!—a golden portal opened in the firmament, revealing the Four Archangels of a distant world—Ludociel, Mael, Sariel, and Tarmiel—arriving with wings and auras resonating with light, sun, wind, and sea.
Moments later, CRACK!—Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice, descended with radiant wings and sword in hand, followed by Amenadiel with his broad wings and Zauriel wielding a flaming blade.
Another fragrant rift brought Alexiel—the redeemed rebel with three white wings—alongside Angela, the red-haired celestial huntress bearing a poised spear.
Almost simultaneously, VWOOOM!—Lucemon, a youthful angel with white wings, appeared beside Sandalphon, an archangel with four twilight wings—light and serenity balancing Lucemon's ambiguous aura.
Lastly, Dlim-dlim...—bells announced the arrival of Jeanne d'Arc, enveloped in silver light. The sainted maiden fell to her knees, weeping in awe as her feet touched Heaven itself, sealing the moment with divine grace.
An Expanded Heaven: Adaptation and Reactions
The newcomers were received with reverence and joy. Michael stepped forward, arms open, smiling warmly: "Welcome to your celestial home." Beside him, Gabriel's eyes shimmered with tears of joy. The veteran archangels could hardly believe it—so many powerful allies gathered by miracle. The new arrivals responded with humility—wings bowed, smiles and hymns echoed. Some closed their eyes in silent prayer; others shed tears of happiness. Tension melted away when Angela joked, "Not a bad place..." sparking general laughter. Gabriel went on to greet each guest with love—embracing Jeanne d'Arc, and even patting Lucemon's head like a prodigal child, a maternal gesture that surprised and delighted the ambiguous young angel.
In the days that followed, each angel found their role in this renewed Heaven. Michael led a council to assign duties: Ludociel and Mael trained the legions; Sariel and Tarmiel aided Raphael in calming storms; Tyrael and Uriel devised combat strategies; Amenadiel regulated time and guarded the gates; Zauriel mentored Brave Saints; Alexiel served as an ethical advisor; Angela led raids on lingering demonic forces; Sandalphon reinforced divine energy; and Lucemon, under watchful care, taught newborn angels about light's triumph over darkness. Jeanne d'Arc, meanwhile, became an emissary between Heaven and Earth—in spirit, she answered pure prayers and inspired courage.
The ancient archangels could hardly believe such blessings. Each night, they offered prayers of gratitude, sensing that God's grace had returned to dwell among them.
Celestial Legions in Growth
The effects of this renewal were astounding. In just over a decade, Heaven's army reached numbers unseen since biblical times. Once, after the great war, fewer than two hundred active angels remained; now, more than five hundred served the Light. At least twenty pure angels were born from love and faith during this time—once unimaginable. The Brave Saints program, which began modestly, expanded robustly: around forty pure-hearted humans had been reincarnated as angels, bearing the ranks of Ace, Jack, Queen, and King among celestial forces—numbers growing month by month. Furthermore, the twelve powerful souls summoned from other universes elevated Heaven's power to extraordinary levels. Where once one angel guarded vast regions alone, now entire squadrons patrolled each mortal land. Even the exorcist corps on Earth had doubled in size, fueled by inspiration from recent miracles.
Symbolically, Heaven had moved beyond mere survival—now, it thrived. The cosmic balance, once teetering dangerously, tilted back in favor of the Light. Evil thought twice before acting—at every whisper of darkness, a divine response swiftly followed. Hope blossomed in human hearts like never before: miracles occurred in forgotten places, people rediscovered faith, and new heroes awoke to fight for good, protected by invisible wings. Paradise had reclaimed its place as humanity's beacon—perhaps shining even brighter than in ancient times.
From the heights of unknowable wisdom, the Presence watched this work with serene satisfaction. Without ever revealing itself, the invisible protagonist had orchestrated every improvement and triumph—a director behind the divine stage.
Of course, challenges still lay ahead. Within a year, both Heaven and Earth would face upheaval: a Red Dragon would awaken among mortals, and a Star Princess would cross Yuki Rito's path, testing his dual existence in unexpected ways.
But for now, all was in harmony.
That quiet night, under the same sky, Yuki Rito walked through the city with a light heart. He looked up at the starry Kuoh sky, and though he didn't know why, a calm joy warmed his soul. Rito smiled at the stars that seemed to wink at him—and up above, the Presence smiled back, content. Heaven had been rebuilt and strengthened by love and faith, and the journey of the hidden god had only just begun.
