Mamako wondered why everything turned out like this.
Why was Ma-kun so callous and heartless, does he not understand how much his words and actions were hurting her?
But despite what Masato said and did , Mamako never once blamed any of it on Rin's presence.
Rin was the best thing that happened to her , and maybe blood really isn't thicker than water since Rin treated her like his world while Masato treated her like a nuisance.
She still remembered how Rin came into her life just like how it was yesterday...

"Haah!" .... "Haah!" ..... "Haah!"
'It's cold.... ' a small child was huddled up under a bridge as he shivered.
His tummy rumbled as he hadn't eaten for a few days causing him to be so weak that he could barely move.
He couldn't even walk to a police station or something to seek asylum.
'Is this how I am going to die ?.. I hope you bastards die a cruel death...' The boy cursed his so called family for abandoning him after mistreating him.
"Meow~"
A loud Meow roused the boy from his thoughts as he turned his head towards the cat that had been keeping him company a few minutes ago.
"K-Kuro-chan" The boy said weakly as he gazed at the Black cat which was gazing at him in a way that seemed oddly strange for a cat.
"It's cold right ... Come on , you can stay warm inside my clothes... " The boy said with a weak smile as he raised his shirt with much difficulty for the cat to get inside.
It was currently winter and he didn't want the Cat to freeze so he decided to do atleast one good deed before perishing since he knew he wouldn't live long in this harsh condition.
Kuro moved closer to the boy as it licked him on his cheek.
Suddenly footsteps echoed making a glimmer of hope spark in the boy's heart...

"Ma-kun~ It's getting colder , maybe we should go home? Mom is scared that you might catch a cold" A brown haired woman with a motherly aura around her said to her 3 year old son who was excitedly jumping around.
" Don't wanna!" The boy called Ma-kun immediately declined as he didn't have enough of playing outside.
"But .." The woman was worried as she had a difficult expression while gazing at her child.
She was happy that he was having so much fun but at the same time she was worried about his health.
"Mamako-san just let Masato-kun have his fun~ He would stop running around after getting tired ~ " Another woman said with a giggle as she comforted the worried woman.
"I guess you are right Miki-san " Mamako said with a helpless smile as she watched her son reach out to catch snowflakes....
....
" Ahhh! A kitty with two tails!" Suddenly Masato's excited voice caught the two older woman's attention
Both woman were surprised by Masato's loud exclamation as they looked up only to see Masato holding onto a black cat with two tails.
"Oh my..." Miki and Mamako exclaimed simultaneously as it was indeed a cat with two tails.
Although surprised they didn't think too much since it could be a mutation leading to an extra appendage.
But unlike in the case of mutation the Black cat before then looked very gorgeous and it's two tails didn't look unsettling at all.
"Ma-kun!" But Mamako being Mamako was still worried about her son holding a stray cat , it's not that she disliked cats but she worried that it's nails or teeth might scratch her son, even if accidentally.
"Meow~" The Cat meowed loudly before jumping out of Masato's arms and rushing a few steps ahead before stopping and looking at him.
"Ahh!" Masato yelped in surprise seeing the black cat escape from his arms, and being the child he was, he ran after it and it soon turned into a slow chase.
Mamako and Miki naturally followed after Masato because in the end his short legs could only let him go so fast....
...
"Haah! Ma-kun! " Mamako called out to Masato worriedly a she grasped his wrist preventing him from running.
"Mom! Let me go! I have to go to the kitty!" Masato said in annoyance as he wriggled around.
But Mamako naturally couldn't let Masato run down the slope in front of him , what if he fell down?
Even if it was grass there was a chance that he might fall.
"Mom!" Tears started pooling in Masato's eyes as he gazed at his mother with anger and grievance.
Mamako's heart clenched as she watched her son cry.
" Ma-kun~ Wait right here , Mom will bring the Kitty to you ~ " Mamako squatted down as she consoled her son gently while wiping his tears.
"Uhuh!" Masato nodded his head with an eager smile.
"Miki-san could you look after Masato for a while" Mamako said in a slightly apologetic tone towards Miki who was accompanying her.
" Just be careful Mamako-san" Miki just nodded her head at Mamako's request and reminded her to be careful as it was dark and although street lamps illuminated the place near the bridge , it was still slightly dark.
Mamako nodded her head with a smile before she looked for stairs to descend down carrying a flashlight to illuminate the dark surroundings.
....
As soon as Mamako reached down she saw the Black cat sitting on the ground a few feet away seemingly as if waiting for her.
She thought it was her imagination but it seemed like the cat waved at her before it started walking towards the place under the bridge.....
